"Its the judgement day for Mr.Kapoor as finally after 4 weeks the 'Singhaania murder case' will be solved.. Its just a matter of minutes and then the verdict will be out.. This is Rajni Sahaani reporting with cameraman Ronit.. Star news.."
And then the usual advertisement started and Kalpi laid back on the couch with her eyes shut waiting for the news to resume meanwhile her mind began revising the past four weeks events ..most eventful events which had changed many lives..
It all started with the raid.. The first big shock in Sahil Kapoor's life.. Sahil Kapoor was taken into police custody for investigation.. The investigation outside the jail few days later turned into one inside it as someone appealed in the court for the 'Singhaania murder case' to be reopened and it was not Raghav who appealed..
"If not you then who appealed..", Sammy said.. it was confusing for all four of them .. And then Raghav got a text message..
"I have a deal for you..
Meet me at the restaurant in front of Kapoor industries..
Be there coz its profitable to you..
And don't inform anyone about this.."
"Guys its late.. I think we all should discuss this tomorrow..", Raghav said.. Sammy and Maya nodded and left followed by Kalpi ..
Before leaving she informed Raghav that she won't be meeting him everyday as her brother didn't like her being out so late at night.. And before Raghav could argue Kalpi left..
And that was last day they last met and the next news she got about him was the bold headlines in morning newspaper ...
"Singhaania murder case reopened.."
"Kalpi.. Kalpi!!!", Pakya called out from the living room.. his loud voice brought her out of her thoughts which as usual were about Raghav.. it had been a week since they met and how much ever she tried she missed him already..
"You saw the newspaper??", Pakya asked while rereading the headlines and then the article.. "Raghav reopened the case . .", Kalpi came out of her thoughts with those words.. "But how??..", she thought.. While discussing the plan Raghav never mentioned about it..
"Why??", Pakya said thoughtfully.. "Why did he reopen the case?? And how??", Kalpi too had the same question..
Their discussion was interupted by the telephone ring.. Kalpi went to pick up the phone..
"Hello..", she said ..
"Kalpana.."
"Yes.."
"Its Raghav here.."
" Rag.. Sir...", Kalpi immediately corrected herself seeing Pakya in front..
"Kalpana.. I want to talk to you.. Actually.."
"Ya I'll email you my resume later on.. thank you..", saying so she hurriedly placed the phone back..
"Umm.. dada it was a call from a company where my senior works.. they have asked for my resume..", Kalpi lied half-heartedly.. sure she didn't want to lie to her dada but if he knew that even now she had kept little contact with Raghav he would've been hurt..
"Ok fine... I have to leave for office now.. bye..", he said so and left.. Kalpi immediately picked up her cell phone switched it on and called up Raghav..
"Sorry .. dada was .."
"Its ok.. I wanted to ask you something.."
Kalpi gulped nervously.. Raghav reopened the case that means he got some proof.. but with it did he get some other information too??
"Kalpana.. you there..??"
"Ya.. yes.. yes .. What were you saying??"
"Remember that day we last discussed the plan.. I .. I met Prem that night.. He was the one who brought me proofs... I hope you've read the news by now... "
Raghav narrated his convo with Prem:
"Prem", Raghav said looking at the person's face who was waiting for him and the attendant who guided him to the table left..
"Wha.. what are you doing here??", Raghav said quite unsure whether it was some meeting or a trap though for safety he had already informed ACP Rawat before coming who made some under-cover officers accompany Raghav..
"First please be seated as this discussion isn't gonna be short one..", Prem said his tone unusually cold..
"You said about some deal", Raghav said while sitting on the chair opposite to Prem.. "Yes.. Its a simple deal.. You give me my company and I give you some evidences against your father's murderer..", Raghav looked up in shock and reading his expression Prem continued in same cold tone..
"I know its my father who killed yours.. ", Prem said.. "But how ... you..??", Raghav asked clearly seeing the hurt in Prem's eyes which he as trying to hide with the cold tone..
"Few days back I got a call from some Mr.Singh.. Actually it was for my dad but mistaking me to be him he demanded money from me saying that if I want my sins to be buried then I should give him money as soon as possible..
Instead of informing dad I got to the root of the situation with the help of my sources and then with the help of the men I hired that guy was .. kidnapped by me..", noticing the shocked expression etched on Raghav's face Prem said," I may not like it but yeah I'm his blood.. Sahil Kapoor's blood.. That guy. ..Mr.Singh.. He after a three-day long torture gave in and told me how he helped Da.. ..Mr.Kapoor in the killing.. But for his personal benefit he sneakily had photographed the part where ..", Prem couldn't say anything more.. it was a big blow for him to get to know such things about his father..
Raghav went to sit beside him and placed his hand on Prem's shoulder.. "He.. he stabbed your father.. I'm ashamed of calling that cold-blooded murderer my dad.. ", if it wasn't for his I-am-a-man thing Prem would've been crying aloud..
"These are the photos along with the evidences that were quoted as 'lost' by police..", Prem said while handing Raghav a big envelope.. "And Raghav.. this is .. ", hesitating for a moment Prem handled another envelope to him and said,"You check on it later.."..
"Prem.. Thank you.. I know its too much for you to bear... I can't give you your company back as now uts not possible but I have made arrangements for you,Paakhi and Neetu aunty (here Neetu is Innocent.. she has no idea of Sahil's doings).."
Skipping the part of second envelope Raghav told Kalpi everything..
The news resumed..
"Finally verdict is out.. Hon'ble High court has sentenced Sahil Kapoor to 40 years imprisonment for... ", And Kalpi switched off the TV as happy tears rolled down her cheeks... At last justice had been served..
P.S And here end the revenge part.. Sorry if it sounded illogical..
