Hello!!! I am back...I know after a long time I am giving a back to back update. But the frequency stops here only as next update won't be before Sunday even for Such day Im not sure but will try my level best to do so.
Okay now Baatein bandh and here is the next part.
Part-32
Dhaval and Samny were looking at them from outside. They knew it will be a difficult task for both of them. "I hope everything goes fine." Sammy said. "Don't worry Sammy I remember my promise. She will have to accept this friendship. I'll make her understand. I know it won't be easy but it isn't diffucult too. Kalpi is a very realistic person. She analyse all the situation and acts accordingly. I am sure she will understand Raggav's perspective too." "I hope so Dhaval. After ages I have seen my old friend. Coz of Kalpi he just had started living life and now this. I cannot just see him breaking down again." "Sammy bad times are suppose to recurr in everybody's life but they don't repeat themselves. I know what is Raghav going through right now. Don't worry its a bad phase but it won't be like last time. God takes tests of his children but the tests are not always the same in the same way bad times are never same. This is my personal experience."
"Hmmm you are right. And see though she has remembered everything yet she met all of us. You are right Dhaval...you are absolutely right."
Mustering all the courage he asked "How are you feeling now Kalpi...I mean Kalpana." She could feel the pain in his voice. She replied with hesitation "Much better...S...Sir." "Can I sit." He asked pointing towards the stool kept besides the bed. "Haan, why not!" After settling down he asked though he didn't want to but with heavy heart he asked "Kalpana do you want to shift your base." She felt heavy. She looked at him. He had lowered his head. Controlling the tears which were forcing to come out Raghav thought its better to lower the head than to face her with moist eyes. He didn't want to make things difficult for her as well as for himself. He knew for Kalpi her self respaect is the most important thing and now that she has got her memory back she won't stay with him. She felt a lump in her throat and was finding it difficult to answer him. With all her strength she managed to say "Hmmm". He huffed a lil and said "Ok...I'll ask Pooja and Priya to do so." She nodded.
There was silence again. Both were finding it difficult to start the conversation.Strangely two days before they didn't know where to stop as they were chatting continously and today it was difficult for them to even talk with each other. But Raghav was determined to bring back things to normal state. He started "Kalpi...I am sorry Kalpana." "Sir you can call me Kalpi, its fine with me." "No...till the time you don't find it comfortable to call me Raghav I won't call you by that name." She lowered her eyes. She didn't have any answer. He continued "Kalpana I know its not easy to accept and adapt to changes that have occurred in your life. I know you are feeling uncomfortable and its quite acceptable after all we didn't share a cordial relationship before your accident but I guess you know now how I am. Theres a big difference between Raghav and The Raghav Singhania and nobody has seen it so closely than you. Kalpi today when you have got your memory back I want to confess something. Trusting completely on this relationship I want to tell you why I said a lie to you. That day you didn't apologise to me and I was seething in anger. Your self respect was hitting my ego.I wasn't actually looking at the road while driving and this happened. Kalpi I...I was responsible for your accident. I am responsible for your memory loss and this state." He stopped and looked at her.She was blank. She had no idea what to say, how to react. She was numb.
He continued "Kalpana I know what you must be feeling. Kalpana I was guilt ridden. I wanted to repent for my actions. I know I did wrong and thats why I wanted to take care of you. I had no relation with you and without that you won't have accompanied me so I told you that I am your friend. Initially it was just a way for me to reduce guilt but now you know what this friendship means to me. Kalpana please don't take me wrong I was not left with any option." He was overwhelmed with emotions. He couldn't speak further. He got up to leave. She held his hand and said "Raghav I cannot think ill about you. Guilt is not just realising your mistake but it means to feel that pain. No body has felt my pain more closely than you. Though you build this relation by saying a lie but your intention was never wrong. And regarding this accident then yes you were wrong but may be this was written in my fate. Even you got injured so it wasn't intentional. It was a mistake but not a forbidden sin. I know what our friendship means to us. I know you said all this coz you truly value our friendship and didn't want to hide the truth from me. What you did was call of the time. After that you never said a lie to me. Never ever. I have felt if not exactly but a lil the pain in your voice of loosing the loved ones. I am sure you must be going through the same feeling right now. But trust me this friendship matters to me too. But Raghav give some time please. Its not easy for me to accept so much so fast. I need Time." "And I am ready for it coz I too need to adjust to this change. Kalpi you don't know how relieved I am feeling right now. I thought this would be probably the last time I would be talking to you. But...Kalpana atleast after office hours you can call me Raghav nai." "I will try." Raghav shook his head. "I am happy that you know everything now. Atleast now I can come to you freely without any burden. By the way I had a word with Dr. Jasraj he said that reports are clear so you might get discharge today itself. So I expect you to be in office by day after tomorrow. Okay." Kalpi nodded affirmatively.
She was happy that Raghav didn't impose his thoughts on her. "He has always given me time,space and today also he did the same. This friendship is equally importany for me. I cannot stand to loose it. I know you lied but then even I was not capable to take the truth at that time. But now you revealed the truth. Theres no place for secracy in our relation." She thought. "Ra...aghav" He stopped in his tracks. He was dying to hear this from her and probably she knew it. He turned to look at her. Tears were rolling down her cheeks while it flowed freely from his eyes too. He came towards her and she said while wiping the tears from her cheeks and clearing her throat "Lets make things simple and easy for us. We both are at such a stage where things need to be handled sensitively. We know this change needs to be adapted. If we adapt it with force it won't do any good and if we stay silent and think of giving time and space to each other it won't be good either because we cannot pretend that things are normal when in actual they are not." "Hmmm you are right. Toh kya kare ab." "I have an idea lets start things afresh. Lets jut start our friendship all over again." She looked at him expectantly. He thought for a while. He actually liked the idea. Atleast in that way they won't feel awkward and won't have to look for excuses to talk with each other. Again, the bond they share though being strong but the fact cannot be changed that he lied to her and then it started. Now when they will start afresh there won't be any lie. Their relation will be pure and that is what he exactly wanted. He looked at her and said "You are...Right." They both smiled.
"I should leave now. You take care." "You too." He went towards the door when Kalpana said "See you in office." "Yea Bye" "Bye" He left from there feeling hapoy that he didn't loose their friendship.
"Pooja, Priya shift her belongings to company accomodation." All though he felt bad but he was in a much better position. Afterall he is still friends with Kalpi. In the evening when he reached home he knew he is back to ground one. Home is no longer a place he would look upto like the way he used to when she was here. But then she had to move out one day and that day unfortunately came too early.He went to her room and sat on her bed. All the memories he had with her started playing as a film before his eyes. He couldn't believe that her presence could make such an impact on his life that her absence is killing him. The servants,chef and Mrs. Patil all of them were silent. They didn't know what to say. After years they had heard sound of laughter on their dining table on which now only he was sitting and having food. "Why God takes tests of giod people Mrs.Patil?" the chef asked. "May be he knows they will clear it. He will too. I am sure she will come back soon. If he is missing her I am sure she will be missing him too." Mrs Patil replied.
Situation was no different in Kalpi's house. She cannot call it home. She didn't stay here. For her home was where she used to stay. The house was not giving her that warm feeling she used to get there. She didn't utter a word but her expressions were loud enough to voic out her thoughts. She silently went inside her room and locked it. "I don't know why are you doing this but I hope something better is kept in store for him and for me. Dhaval looked at her retreating form. "When will this whole thing get over?" "Very soon" Pooja said while putting her hand on his shoulder. "I am sure there must be a reason behind this. We cannot figure it now but we will get to know about it soon. Till then lets just pray everything remains fine."
Raghav went to Sammy's home to meet his guide,his mentor, his father figure, Sammy's father Mr. Nishant Raizada. "Uncle" "Aaa Raghav my son come. I know you would be coming today." "How come" "Coz I can read your silence. I know what you are going through." "How are you uncle." "I am good. But I am sure you have not come here to ask me how I am? Do you?" He shook his head in negative. "Tell me whats going on in your heart. Last time you took the decision on your own since I wasn't here but trust me if I have would have been I would have second your decision. I know what happened in these 24 hrs." He looked up "Sammy told me, he is your friend but he is my son. He knows you look upto me for advice and so he went a step ahead and told me everything." Raghav chuckled. "He cares for me a lot." "Yes thats why she calls him your Mr. Everything." He smiled.
Raghav narrated the entire conversation he had with Kalpi to him. "So you are ready to start afresh. Hmmm" "Yes Uncle" "Then just carry the sweet memories with you from the past and not this heavy baggage that she isn't in my home or she is feeling uncomfortable. Every new friendship has certain inhibitions, it takes time to grow and who knows it better than you. Sirf maanna nahi hai ki ye ek nayi shruaat hai balki ye vakayi mei ek nayi shuruaat hai. Infact I would say what a perfect timing. If your bonding would have grown more stronger with coming months then trust me things would have been worst." Raghav was pondering into what his Uncle said. "Son in your case you both already have some great memories which can lay a strong foundation or a base to this new friendship. You both don't have to go through the most difficult phase 'winning trust of each other' because you already trust each other. Its a boon take it as this way. He nodded his head and smiled. He felt peaceful. "Uncle you are great." "Tell me something new son, this is something which Priya always say to me." He looked at hum.and both laughed in unison.
"Thank God Priya, Dad is here this time. Otherwise things would been difficult to handle." "Hmm so toh hai but who will explain this to Kalpi." She looked at him questionningly. "I trust Dhaval. I am sure he will explain her. The guy surely has guts." "Hmmm you are right."
Kalpana was looking at the busy streets from her Balcony when Dhaval came from behind. "Kya dekh rahi ho." "Bhagte hue samay ko" "Time doesn't wait for anyone." "Who knows it better than me!" Kalpi said sarcastically. "Since when did you start saying such sarcastic things." "Life has never been easy Dhaval but never thought it will become a roller coster ride for me. I didn't gel with my boss first, I met with an accident, lost my memory, and my same boss became my...my" "Best friend. Is that what you are trying to say." She looked at him. Anguish written on her face. "Kalpi to be friend of your Boss is not a crime. More over when did you start believing in this so called Society and its damn rules. When this is the same society that didn't give us space to live. They made us remember time and again that we are misfit coz we are orphans but these people, they accepted you,they accepted me and I have seen the tension on their faces. Especially Raghav. He understands our pain and if you ignore this fact I won't be wrong if I call you selfish." "No...no...I don't care about society. I don't. It never mattered to me and it will never ever." "Then what is holding you back Kalpi. Sammy & Priya are ready to continue the friendship the way it was but you...you called Samar as Sir. You didn't meet Priya properly. To some extent I agree things will take time to come back to normal state but for that you have to first convince yourself that YOU want things to be back to normalcy. If you are saying to start this relation all over again then first you should prepare yourself for this. You know him, he knows you then why are yo so apprehensive.Think about it." Kalpi pondered into what Dhaval said. Everything he said was making sense. "Why am I feeling so awkward. What will I answer when I don't know myself. But yes I will start afresh with no preconceived notions." She thanked Dhaval for putting some sense into her. "You are my truest buddy. Love you." "I heard that Love you too." Dhaval said. She smiled and felt peaceful.
Every relation has its own share of ups and downs. No relation can go on smoothly. It has to see a low phase. Kalpi and Raghav lived together but never thoyght what would be their life if she regains her memory. Now that Kalpi knows everything situation is such where both are feeling awkward. They can't name it coz they themselves don't know what is it exactly. They are missing each other and at the same time are ready to start afresh. They know each other yet they are apprehensive about this new beginning. Mr. Dhingra had rightly said some people take their own sweet time to realise their feelings for their partner. Kalpi and Raghav have never experienced it before and were never interested in this feeling they will surely realise but will definitely take time.
It says every problem has a solution. All it needs is a mature and patient mind to handle it. Earlier things were difficult coz two inexperienced people came together under one roof. If Raghav didn't make any relation, Kalpi had no one else apart from Dhaval in all these years. Though she knew how to live life and enjoy it every moment yet she never made any relation apart from Dhaval. She became friends with Sammy and Priya due to Raghav and Pooja was just a day old friend all she could be called is an acquaintance who turned into a beautiful friend. They stayed together and slowly came out of their inhibitions. Today things are drastically different, to rebuild that same friendship Sammy's Dad is there who explained Raghav that its all about perception and Dhaval explained the same to Kalpi. Both are now convinced that they have to prepare themselves inorder to start afresh.
New beginning,new fun.
