His expression shows what you said too. If you lookk at his expression in yesterday's episode when she says she came to meet Kamla maa and talked with Kalpana emotionally, he has a questioning expression. Also in the car, when she insists to watch movie, he does the same, it didnt look like real concern or love of friendship. BUT this may be CVs trick to confuse us also..
