Part I.
A small town in USA. A girl, in her early 20 is watching outside from window of house. She is tall,dusky and lean. Her loosened long hair is flying becoz of strong wind. A look to the girl and anyone say she is beautiful but a good look to the girl and sentence will change. She is beautiful but sad.She is a girl who lost her entire family in mumbai train bomb blast. Her father,mother and brother died with many other people in 2006 train bomb blast. She survived as she was late. She smiled sadly as she remembers her brother's word - 'Kalpu, why can't you be punctual. you are always late.' if she would have taken her brother's word seriously, she would not have to face this day. she would have with them. she would have been in peace. But she will find her peace. She will not let anyone suffer the same way as she is suffering. She knows how it felt when you are not able to identify the corpse of your loved once because they were burned to death in such a cruel way. Her sadness is reflection of the thousand of people who lost their loved ones in terrorism. But only difference between them and her is that they move on their life but she is still stuck in that incident after 1 year of the incident.

kalpi, what are u thinking? just finish your coffee soon. You are coming with me to the hospital, Pakhi speaks as she enters into Kalpana's room.Pakhi and Kalpana are cousins. Pakhi is daughter of Kalpana's masi. 'Di, I don't want to. I want to be alone', Kalpana speaks. Pakhi- ' Mom did not bring you here so that we can leave u alone. I know , I am not your real sister but I love u damned and I want u to move on. your parents and brother are my relatives also and mom had also lost her sister. But life does not stop. we have to move on.' Saying so, Pakhi is about to leave when Kalpana holds her hand - 'I am sorry di. I did not mean to hurt u. Give me 2 mins and I am coming with u.' Kalpana goes to change. Pakhi smiles as she very well know her sister. She had spend her entire childhood with Kalpana. Then she shifted here with her parents to complete her MBBS. She is doing her internship in one of the reputed hospital in the town. She wants to take Kalpana to the hospital so that she can come out of her depression and start her life afresh. She wants to show her that some people have more cruel fate then her. She is not aware of the fact that this visit to the hospital will change Kalpana's life.

Kalpana and Pakhi leave for the hospital. Pakhi had taken special permission from Dr.Fred, her superior to bring Kalpana in the hospital. Upon their arrival to hospital, they are greeted warmly by Dr. Samar Raizada. Kalpana smiles as Samar hugs Pakhi tightly.
Pakhi : leave me Sammy. everyone is watching us.
Sammy : Oh god, Pakhi it is not India and I am hugging my fiance.
Pakhi : Kalpna is here what does she think.
Sammy : Kalpana will not think anything. will u think anything, Kalpana.
Kalpana smiles : No jiju. u can continue.
Pakhi in anger : Kalpi, u are my sister.

Pakhi introduces Kalpana to the other doctors, interns and hospital staff and says that she is there for writing some thesis on hospital. Everyone greets Kalpana warmly. Pakhi leaves Kalpana and goes to attend her patients. Kalpana takes around the hospital and compares this hospital's facilty with india's
hospitals. Her feets stuck infront of a door on which 'Special ward' written. She peeps into the room through small glass hole of window and finds a man lying on the bed. His eyes are open and staring to ceiling lifelessly. Kalpna feels bad for the man. She is lost in staring the person. A sudden knock on her shoulder and she comes back into the senses. She finds herself infront of a middle aged nurse.
Nurse : are u sister of Dr. Pakhi?
Kalpna nods her head in agreement.
Nurse: hi, I am Mrs. Samantha lawrence. Caretaker of this ward.
Kalpana introduces herself and asks : why the eyes of this patient are so lifeless.
Mrs. Lawrence : He is in coma from last 6 months.
Kalpana : Coma means he is brain dead.
Mrs. Lawrence : No..No..he is not brain dead. He is alive but he is unable to respond anything but his senses are intact.
Kalpana feels bad for the person.Mrs. Lawrence goes into the ward and kalpana just follows her without thinking anything. Mrs. lawrence is busy in checking the person and does not notice Kalpana in the room. After checking his temparature, pulse rate in the monitor , Mrs. Lawrence notes down every details. she turns and finds Kalpana in the room.
Mrs. Lawrence : Kal..pana..you are not allowed here . Get out.
Kalpana : Please Mrs. Lawrence I am sorry. I just could not stop myself. His eyes are so intense but lifeless.Mrs. Lawrence remembers that she had taken this case becoz of this very reason only. His eyes which are lifeless now still signifies that they were bright, lively and intense once. and here comes another girl who have seen the same thing as her.
Mrs.lawrence : Kal..p(It is hard for her to pronounce Kalpana's name correctly)
Kalpana : you can call me Kalps.
Mrs. Lawrence : Kalps, I could not allow you here. It is against hospital rule. You have to take permission from Dr. Fred.
Kalpana leaves from there.

Part II.

Kalpana comes to Dr. Fred's room. Dr. Fred is tall, fair and handsome. He is in early 50's. His face is calm and his eyes are bright.Over all, He gives an impression of Father of church instead of a doctor. Kalpana could not help herself from admiring his personality.
Kalpana : Hello, Dr. Fred. I am Kalpana.cousin of Dr.Kapoor.
Dr.Fred : Oh yes Miss Kalpana. Its nice to meet u. I think u don't have to face any problem here. I have already instructed everyone to cooperate with u. Now you can start working on your thesis.
Kalpana : Thanks, Dr. Fred but I am thinking to write the thesis on your coma patient of special ward. Can u allow me ?
Dr.Fred looks at her surprised: Miss Kalpana, I thought you were interested in writing thesis on our hospital facilities. Dr. Kapoor told me this only.
Kalpana : I know but I got interested in coma when Mrs. Lawrence said me that in coma a person can sense everything but can not react. I just want to know how is that possible.
Dr. Fred : Miss Kalpana , you will find this details in every medical journal.
Kalpana : I know Dr. Fred. But they are from Doctor's point of view, highly technical. I just want to
write from a normal person's point of view.
Dr. Fred looks at Kalpana intensely. He is a doctor and in his 25 years of career, he had met several persons. He is not psychologist but he had earned an insight to human mind from his experience. He can sense that this girl is not only interested in the coma but patient also. But why not, It will be a good experiment -he self thinks.
Dr. Fred : Ok, Miss Kalpana, you can write thesis on the person. You can take case history from admin office.
Kalpana : Thanks, Doctor.

That night in home,
Kalpana refuses to have food. she is busy in reading the case history of the patient. The patients name is Ronit Raj and he is 28 years old. He surived the bomb blast which took the life of his all family members. Kalpana feels a connection with the person. He is in the same boat as her but who is more unlucky? Is she more unlucky as she is in her senses and she is living the pain of losing her family every moment? Is he more unlucky that he can feel the pain but can't express it. She falls asleep while thinking all

these.
Next morning ,Kalpana gets ready quickly. Pakhi is shocked to see her. They leave for the hospital. Pakhi goes to attend her patients and Kalpana's legs lead her to the Special ward. She enters into the room and find Mrs. Lawrence attending the patient.
Kalpana : Good morning, Mrs. Lawrence.
Mrs. lawrence. Good morning, Kalps. Dr. fred told me to help u.
Kalpana : Thats so sweet of him.Mrs. lawrence r u sure he can hear me?
Mrs. Lawrence : Kalps, Coma is a complicated state of mind. He can hear u but not everywords spoken by you. His mind may catch some words and may not catch some words. We can't be sure.
Kalpana : Have u ever talked to him?
Mrs. Lawrence : Not really, I just wish him good morning and good night. Oh god..I am in hurry. I have to submit his daily checking report to Dr. Fred.
Kalpana : on last question, Did his condition improve in last 6 months.
Mrs. Lawrence in a sad tone : Not a single drop. He is in same condition from 6 months. His case is most complicated one. His condition may never improve. Ok .Bye.

Mrs. Lawrence's last words are ringing in Kalpana's ear - His condition may never improve. she feels a pinch of pain in her heart. She is a soft hearted person. so, feeling bad for the person is normal but why is this pain so similar to the pain which she felt when she lost her family. She is seeing the person only second time but why she is feeling pain for him. she does not have answers of these questions. But she knows she is bound to this person from an invisible bond.
Kalpana looks at the person and lifts his hand and shakes : Hi, Ronit. will u be my friend. And from the moment Kalpana accepts the person as her friend though she does not know weather the person has heard her or not. and then Kalpana starts to tell him about her likes and dislikes.

Days and weeks passes by. After 3 months.
Kalpana comes to meet the person regularly. she has forgotten about the thesis. she did not write a single word in last 3 months. She comes to the hospital and goes to meet the person. In last 3 months, She understood why she had felt the pain for him. she has fallen in love with him from the very first moment she saw him. She knows that everyone will think that she is mad that she loves a person who is not his senses but love itself is a madness. She had tried very hard to come out of this. But she had failed miserably everytime. Everytime , She fell in love with him more deeply. A love which does not have a future, A person who is not in his senses are became part of her life.
She looks at Ronit and murmurs :
' I know it is not worth waiting
But I still wait for u.
I know I am none to u.
But still you are my everything.
I know you are not in love with me.
But I still love u.'
I know it does not matter to u.
But I still love u'
and kisses his forhead. His fingers move a little by her warm touch but she is oblivious to the fact. Suddenly She comes out of her trance. She looks at Ronit and she feels something different. she calls Mrs. Lawrence. Mrs. Lawrence checks the Ronit and informs her that she is mistaken But Kalpana is hell adamant that she has felt something different. Kalpana calls Dr. Fred and tells him everything. Dr. Fred checks Ronit and informs her that Ronit is in same condition as before. Dr.Fred leaves from there. His face is calm but his mind is no more calm.
He calls Pakhi in his cabin.
Pakhi : Dr. Fred any problem . you have called me so urgently.
Dr. Fred : Miss Kapoor, I want to talk about your cousin.
Pakhi : Kalpana what she has done?
Dr. Fred : Miss Kalpana has not done anything. But being attached too much to a coma patient is not good. He may come into his senses or he may not and if he comes into his senses, It is hardly possible that he can remember anything.
Pakhi : so what ? Kalpana just feels bad for him.
Dr. Fred : Miss Kapoor. There is difference between sympathy and love. Ur cousin is in love with the person.
Pakhi :no Dr. Friend. you are mistaken. i know my sister. she is emotional but she is very practical. she will not fall for a person who is not in his senses.
Dr. fred : Miss Kapoor, We can't choose whom to love or not. Most practical person fall in love with
most imperfect person. Love is really blind. you can't stop ur sister from falling in love with him. I
just informed u that you can prepare her for the upcoming consequence. she had already suffered a lot.

Pakhi leaves from there and Dr. Fred remembers his past. he fell in love with one of his patient. it was an accident case. The girl survived but went into coma. It was Dr. Fred's first case and during the treatment, He fell in love with the girl. one day, the girl came into her senses and left the hospital without recognizing him.

Dr. Fred's words are ringing in Pakhi's ears. How can Kalpana fall in love with a person who is in coma. How is that possible.That night Pakhi confronts Kalpana and Kalpana accepts that She is in love with Ronit. Pakhi tries to make her understand that it is just infatuation. she just feels bad for him. It is not love but she can't convince Kalpana. Pakhi uses her last weapon and reminds her swear which she had taken on her parents and brother's death. Kalpana remembers her words and decides to return to India. Kalpana tells Pakhi that she wants to meet Ronit last time . Pakhi gives her permission and goes to book Kalpana and her tickets. she does not want to leave kalpana alone for a single moment.

Next day, Pakhi leaves early for the hospital to complete some formality for her transfer to India.
After some time, Kalpana leaves for the hospital in the car. She is driving. Suddenly a puppy comes in mid road. to save the puppy, Kalpana tries to turn her car and loses the balance. Her car collides to wall of a house. the jerk is so strong that it throw Kalpana out of car. Kalpana's head strikes the road hard and she lies unconscious in the pool of blood.
The moment, Kalpana loses unconscious, Ronit's heart beats start running faster.His fingers start moving. Mrs. Lawrence notices this and informs Dr. Fred. Pakhi had left the hospital just a moment before of all this happening. She just steps out of hospital when she receives call from her mother that Kalpana met an accident and she is admitted to a hospital near to the accident spot.

Kalpana was unconscious for 2 days. she wakes up after 2 days but she is very weak. She is not able to move. Her full recovery takes 2 weeks. Pakhi does not leave Kalpana's side for a moment. She is not aware of Hospital's happenings. after recovering from her injury, Kalpana insists Pakhi to take her to the hospital. Pakhi and Kalpana come to the hospital. In Hospital, they come to know that Ronit came out of coma like a miracle. His mind and body which are not showing any sign of improvement healed in an instant like a magic. Kalpana is very happy to hear it and asks Mrs. Lawrence did he ask about her? Mrs. Lawrence answers in negative. kalpana feels bad for a moment but then again asks abou Ronit's address and she is informed that he had left without leaving any forward address. Kalpana feels bad and tears are about to betray her facade but she closes her eyes.
' I know you will never remember me.
But I still can't forget u.
I know You had never heard my words.
But I can still hear ur heartbeats.
I know it is hopeless to love u.
But I am still in love with u.

Precap :
After 3 years, Mr.Raghav singhania wakes up from his sleep in midnight. He feels restless not bcoz he has seen some nightmare. But he again fails to see her properly but her words which are not more than whispers soothes his heart -
' I know it is not worth waiting
But I still wait for u.
I know I am none to u.
But still you are my everything.
I know you are not in love with me.
But I still love u.'
I know it does not matter to u.
But I still love u'
