Part 11

The weeks following Sammy's party were unforgettable for Raghav. It looked like his life had suddenly boarded a roller coaster. Everything appeared fast tracked. The detective had tracked down the goons. With both threatening and cajoling,he had got them to confess. With Saahil now impoverished,their income had dwindled. They had been involved far too long in illegal activities for anyone to give them employment. Anger at Saahil, frustration at their bleak futures and Raghav's promise that their families would be taken care of ,made them spill the beans.

Saahil was not going to suffer alone. After all ,even his present state today was because of Neetu and her greed for her crores. So too ,even his past sins. So why should she escape scot free? In a family where desire for money gains precedence over all, there is no love, no bonding...Kapoors were a living example. As the police handcuffed both of them, kamala vehemently protested that there had been a mistake. She told the police that the chawl residents would stage a dharna. As she sat down trying to block their paths, she realised she was alone. None of them even lifted a finger,not even Manda. The inspector warned Kamala that she was obstructing dispension of justice. Any further histrionics ,he threatened her, he would book her for abetting criminals and granting them asylum. For once ,Kamala was silenced.

Neither Paakhi nor dhaadhi felt sorry when they heard the news. For they too had

Suffered on account of them.

Raghav visited his lawyer for the final step towards uniting him with Kalpi. He was surprised by what he heard. The day he married Paakhi he had just walked into the registrar's office and signed a few documents. His secretary had taken care of the rest of the paperwork. What he was unaware was the fact that one had to file an application thirty days prior to a court marriage as per the marriage act. In his zeal to please the boss, his assistant had cut corners and paid heavy bribes to the sub registrar. The man was undoubtedly the most corrupt person who had been doing this for quite sometime. And it was a matter of time before the long hand of the law laid its hands on him. Vigilance hd found the paperwork wanting,data incorrect so those marriages conducted by him were declared void. Fortunately, they were only a few. With a letter of apology,they had asked such couples to apply for a fresh certificate.

Raghav cried and laughed simultaneously...at the irony of his life. Laughed because he was free to go to kalpi. Kalpi was his only wife as he was hers only. Cried because of his folly...if only he had taken these steps many months ago, he would have found this out earlier...he and Kalpi would have been spared all the anguish. Never had he felt happier,not even when Kalpi had told him she loved him. This was his most memorable moment,when he could walk boldly Upto Kalpi,catch her hand and proudly proclaim her his wife without any fear.

Apology Note

I know you might have felt the above update worse than the most dramatic twist in the serial. even I felt the same. But try as I might, my mind cannot accept a divorced Raghav for Kalpi. Why should she always accept Paakhi's hand me downs? It is now clear in the serial that there is no fake marriage, at least in my FF let it be so. Hence this unbelievable twist. After all ,if we can believe that they can get married in a jiffy ,the same can be declared illegal too, just like that...is it not?

Apology???Why?? there's no need at all. I enjoyed this so-2 much. In fact by showing this marriage void, you echo and portray our own sentiments!!! I so badly wanted it to be either fake/invalid in the show too! do wish CVs could have shown this in the show too! But alas...the show is getting worse day by day, saving Kalpi!

Kaash cv's get some akal and do the same thing as u did..
