Dear Raghav
Shadi is not just a rasam, it's a pyaar ki kasam
A rishta, that transcends all the other rishtas
And demands total and 100% commitment
Sindoor, bindi, mangalsutra, they adorn the bride
But they alone do not make a marriage
What are rituals, but a way to take a pledge of truth, trust and honesty
And in the absence of these, rituals are but a mockery
And a while the bonds of the heart are more important than any other bond
It's marriage that gives sanctity to this bond
A marriage, not half done, and in secrecy,
But one that bestows honor and pride upon the bride
Raghav, one has to walk in your shoes to feel your pain
A childhood snatched and lost to treachery
A mother who is found, but the meeting brought even more pain than the separation
Wounds were revived and pained again
Scars that were dulled, began throbbing anew
And revenge, the monster that destroys the one who seeks it
Raised it's head and consumed you
And all thought, caution, love, decency were killed
And you became the first victim of your own treachery with pakhi
When you allowed your hatred to rule over your love
Raghav, while it's not for us to judge you,
You did want to right the wrong you had done
You obviously could not walk over your mothers charred body
To walk the righteous path
And pakhi became the victim of cold blooded anger
And Raghav, we cannot entirely condemn you
For the act of a man in love
Cannot be driven by logic, or deceit
What you did last night
Was an impulsive act, of a man who thinks, feels, reacts only with his heart
When he is with his kalpi
So by filling her Maang with sindoor last night
Without any thought of its consequences
When you flouted all Social norms, ethics, conventions
Kalpi became the third and biggest victim
Of your deep and all consuming love
Are you a man to be despised?
Or should we vent all our anger on you?
Should we just walk away, cold and heavy
Mourning the demise of Raghav Singhania ?
Or, should we just pity you!
