Actually Gauri's character here is more believable and makes more sense.

I could not relate to her in the show cause why would a mother sacrifice her son's happiness for revenge that too after her son was alone all these years

Also how could she justify hurting the very people because of whom she was alive & well.

I wish the CV's had written her character like you did

I was so desperately hoping that Gauri wud be the one to unite RAGNA!! but nooo she is one of the characters preventing them frm coming together!! Its quite natural to be blinded with fury...but the mere fact that she sees her son suffering yet has the audacity to ask him to continue with revenge-that is unbelievable!! If the cvs had initially portrayed her as being "bad"...ok that would explain her actions!! but this gauri ---not at all relatable!! Hence, I made Gauri more like a "mother" in my update!!
