Finally you have become human and stopped being mahaan and forgiving,"screamed Disha,jumping on the sofa and hooting with joy and laughter.She told Vitthal that she had always been worried , when the push came to shove,Kalpi would back out.She dare not tell Kalpi ,but she would have given anything in this world to have seen Paaki's expression ,when she knew she had to shift to the chawl.
Daksh was sitting very quietly.Kalpi wondered why he looked so solemn.Daksh knew that Kalpi was doing all this to move on...she had the most important issue to solve, a choice to make...though he had appeared calm in front of Kalpi,he was all knots inside.Now after getting to know Kalpi,he knew he could not bear to lose her,to see her with Raghav would be torture.He closed his eyes and walked away ,lest somebody saw his anguish.
As he stood on the terrace ,a hand reached out and touched him on the shoulder."what is it,Daksh?What is troubling you?"
"Nothing,kalpi.I was just thinking about work.Looks like I will have to go back for a couple of weeks ."
Kalpi was dismayed.He had told them he would stay the next two months,but now hardly two weeks later,he was talking of returning."stop him ,Kalpi.You will miss him", said a voice."no,let him go.Give Raghav a chance,"said another.
Daksh wondered what had come over him.It had been a spur of the moment decision,Yet in retrospect,it seemed the right thing to do,given the current situation.He needed to give her space.If in his absence,she forgot him or chose Singhania,she probably was never meant to be his.When Disha heard the news,she accused him of being a coward and fleeing without a fight. But he reminded her of what his mother always said.if you find the right girl and she is meant to be with you,all forces would conspire to bring you together.If they did not ,you were never meant to be.
Disha purposely did not go to see Daksh off at the airport,feigning illness.So also Vitthal and Pakhya.They had all sincerely wished that Kalpi and Daksh would come together,but looked like their wish would never be fulfilled.Vitthal cursed the day Raghav entered Kalpi's life.The drive to the airport was in total silence.Kalpi's mind was in turmoil.She wondered why she felt so down, wanting to cry.Just before he got down,Daksh reached out and squeezed her hands.Kalpi returned the pressure.He then lifted them to his lips and kissed them.Kalpi' eyes filled with tears which threatened to overflow."i am going to miss you a lot,Daksh,"she blurted out,before she could stop herself.Daksh could bear it no longer.He scooped her into his arms and kissed her on her lips,pouring all his emotion to it.At first,kalpi was stunned.As Daksh continued the onslaught,her mind stopped thinking.Her heart took over.She felt indescribable emotions course through her.As suddenly as he kissed her,Daksh broke off.He was breathing hard.Without so much as a backward glance,he got down and walked off into the airport.
A week later,Raghav took Kalpi on a date.As she walked in gracefully,Raghav was proud of the way ,everybody looked admiringly at her.Handing her the bouquet of white roses,he said,"stunning,as always"Kalpi blushed
