i'v got no problem with Kalpi or Ragav. its nice that they love eachother. and marry for love.
my point is the story. it started with a mother wanting her child to Achieve great things with the education she gave her. i would have liked to see Kalpi achieve something on her own esteem.
that she rose to a position of higher status because she took risks, worked hard and made a name for herself in a professional world.
why make it a run of the mill love story, when they had a wonderful story to tell about the struggles of a young girl who achieved something through merit. rather the fall in love and marry a rich Guy and piggy back on his influence.
Just because Kalpi and Ragav are in love and want to marry, it doesn't mean that Kalpi can't achieve the great things her mother envisaged for her. A career dream should not be at the cost of happiness, love, and life itself. Dreams should be balanced and should be able to bend in its journey. The focus should be the goal she wants to achieve in life, the journey can be whether she does it as a single person or married.
As for taking a piggy back from a rich guy, if a person is not capable of touching the sky career wise no piggy back will help. Marrying a rich person will just enable you to lead a luxurious/ comfortable life, not give a successful career. No husband will welcome a dumb wife into the office to make or be part of business decisions. That is earned through your own merit and capabilities.
Marrying Ragav will give Kalpi opportunities, for those opportunities to become fruitful Kalpi will need to use her intellect.
EMA is about breaking the barriers society has created
- first one, a poor labourer rises above her station career wise
- second one, you don't have to be of the same social class to fall in love and marry (be equals)
Kalpi can decide after marriage wants to be known as Ragav's wife or create her own identity as Mrs Kalpi Ragav Singhania.
P.s. Even if you are rich, you still have to work hard to make good business decisions. You have to have your eye on the ball at all times, for the fall is longer one.
