Hey Everyone!
So I know that I should probably be studying for my midterm exam on Monday but this has been nagging me a lot. I know that some people are really on edge about the whole marriage thing, so I thought why not make a post about some hints and symbolisms that CVs have given that they are meant to be. So I will try not to go into too many details and stick to the point because I seriously shouldn't be making any posts right now. But I just can't seem to resist seeing people disheartened around here.
Reasons Why I Think We got Nothing to be Worried About:
- He met Pakhi first, and CVs even gave them a grand opening scene, with him saving Pakhi and stuff, yet where are we today? We are looking at RagNa - our very dear couple winning million of hearts. Despite the fact that he had wanted it that way, his destiny didn't! His plans changed because his love made him do that.
- He intentionally brought up her status and insulted her for being a daughter of Kaam waali in her interview with him just to get a rise out of her and see what she would do - to see if she still had the same fire in her that she did as a kid. She also became the first person to refute him and tell him that he was being really rude! If he wanted he could have led her slide just like always but he didn't.
- He noticed her everywhere. He was waiting for her to give those guys that bothered her while she was studying on the streets, a piece of her mind. However, he waited to see that she would end up ok. He could've just left her there but he didn't. He waited.
- He Already knew that someone will be able to figure him out and would come to get him to come to chawl and was least bit surprised when he saw her there. He cared for her while she was there (i.e. called her in and left food out for her). Then he went with her to her chawl. Despite being harsh, he bought something to eat for her on the way because he knew that she hadn't eaten anything. He was slowly letting someone see his heart. He didn't intend for his caring nature to show but it just happened. She didn't see it but we did.
- Despite being so rude to Kalpi and wanting to keep his distant, he still watched over her from far, cared for her and became worried (i.e. silently observing in the car and recalling Kamla hugging Pakhi instead of Kalpi when he came to chawl to save the chawl). He was always interested in her - though the reason for interest may have changed by far but the interest was always there.
- He comes to check up on her when he hears for her result. Why go out of your way to do that unless you cared? I am not saying that you loved but I am just saying that you cared.
- Then the events took a different turn. Raghav, who always came to the rescue for everyone else, started being saved by her. The first noticeable instant was when she saved him from the chandelier falling. She was helping him out of humanity but he didn't want her help. He didn't like the fact that she got to help him and he owed her. That's the reason that he didn't take her help in tending to his wounds. He refused and she obliged. His shut himself off because he didn't want her near him. That's the reason that he didn't give her a ride after - he just wanted an employee, not a childhood friend who could see past those walls and break them.
- He provoked her so she won't resign and called her 'Bhagodi' so she challenged him back saying that he would be the one signing her promotional letter - and even wrote the days on the doors so he could see that everyday and remember. He didn't realize that he was already letting her in by letting her do as she pleases, just for his amusement. He constantly gave her work to test her, knowing that she was capable. She always did well.
- That's the very reason he got furious with her when he heard that she had betrayed him - especially for the Kapoors. He was used to the betrayal and wouldn't have probably been that harsh if it hadn't been for the fact that it was the Kapoors and it was HER. She was supposed to be on his side and he actually was starting to trust her. He was furious that he had let himself do that and that she had gone to his enemies when he was the one who helped her.
- When she saved his project, he felt a sense of pride. He couldn't obviously tell her or apologize to her because he didn't want to seem human to her. He liked the image that he had built of being absolutely ruthless in front of her and he didn't want to risk shattering it. He didn't know that that would lead to an even bigger exposure to his inner self lol.
- This is what led to the infamous Raghav drunk and guilty scene. He felt so guilty for not trusting her enough. He felt guilty for actually doubting her. He was the one who told her that he was her boss and not to refer to him by his first name because he didn't want any other relationship with her, yet he was the one who was holding onto those childhood days so dearly. It was so dear that his inner Raghav came and reprimanded him for his actions.
- He showed her his most vulnerable side. To Pakhi, he was always this cool knight in shining armor but to Kalpi, he was a human. She saw him at his weakest. She cared for him and reprimanded him of being careless. She understood that and respected him enough to not mention that ever again. She got the sign that he was a nice guy but she never brought it up. That's the girl he started getting attracted to - she didn't fuss or cry. She just was there for him when he needed someone, without even him asking her of that.
- He realized his mistake and he knew that she was coming dangerously close to him. So, he did what he could to push her away. He asked Pakhi to come to Alibaug trip with him with the hopes that he would make his plan successful. Alas, destiny wasn't with him and he again ended up going with Kalpi. His feelings for her had become more than they were previously because of how she was. He didn't want her to come close but she just had. He had started to care for her because of how she took care of him when he was weak. So, when those goons touched her, he was furious and he actually felt what he hadn't ever felt before - Fear! He felt afraid for her safety and actually gave everything up for her. At first, he didn't want to get mad at her but then he saw her berating herself and he got furious at his impulse to make her feel better. So, he did opposite of just that. He compared her to Pakhi, knowing that there was some war that was going on between them. He knew that would hurt her but he did that to show her that he was not human and was ruthless like she previously thought. But then what happened? A Kaata - a freaking tiny Katta - that brought out pain in her distracted him and he went to her aid. He wanted to stop himself but he couldn't help it! He just had to. This continued on until she fell in the water. He saved her, knowing the risks. He just couldn't help it - he couldn't let anything happen to her.
- Ahh Destiny is beautiful thing, isn't it? This trip brought them closer because both of them took care of the other. Where Raghav jumped in the water to save her, she took care of the leeches and shielded him from the rain that could give him infection of sorts and make his condition even worse. She didn't know him that well as a grown up at that time, yet she didn't think twice in giving him body heat and covering him from the rain. Not only that, she supported him and was right by his side the very next day. We all know that what that led to.
- He got mad when he saw her leave from the room when she saw him with Maya and even followed her out. He didn't want her to think any negative things about him. And also for the fact that she appeared out of nowhere right when he was thinking of her. You know what we all say to that right? It means that she will live many years and his heart had called out to her. He confronted her and asked 'Who are you?' more to himself than her. He wanted to make her feel insignificant thinking that that would help him but it backfired and he ended up feeling even worse since she had decided that he hated her. The look he gave her before going back into his room was priceless and so vulnerable.
- She was all set to pursue her EMA through her work and didn't want anything to do with love, and he was all set to focus on his goal for revenge. Yet the girl started feeling subconscious towards him and seeing him as a man whereas the guy started to see his inner feelings surface, much to his disappointment. He started comparing her to Pakhi to show himself that she isn't the one for him but he still was lost at words because of her. He just couldn't yell at her out loud anymore. He was in denial.
- Much to his disappointment, even when he set up a date with Pakhi, he was came to the office hoping to either catch her or drown himself from work because she wasn't leaving his mind. He was imagining her everywhere and it was bothering him. Even though he was given Pakhi on a silver platter, he didn't take the lure and went for her instead. Not only that, he freed her from the office. Let's not forget their first hug and the frustration helplessness he felt for his condition when it came to her (I already talked enough about this scene in my other post lol). It was just marvelous!! The more he tried detaching himself from her, the more he kept on getting pulled towards her. He was getting pulled him.
- Every attempt he made at getting away from her was futile. Every move he made to get a step closer to the Kapoor backfired - she always stopped him from committing a mistake that he would later regret. She always came in his way and he hated her for it. He wanted to ignore her, yet followed her all the way home to make sure she was safe. She saw that and was confused at his personality. Next day, she tried to be nice to him but he berated her for being low-class and again, she told him off in her own way. She didn't fight but she was firm. He felt like a child for doing that but he had to in order to keep himself away. Just to enforce her status in the office, he only invited Pakhi to prove to himself that he will follow through with his plan.
- He saw her in the temple while a baba told him that he would find what he was looking for (or something like that). He saw her there. It was such a symbolic moment, indicating that the destiny wanted them together despite any MUs or people not wanting the same thing!
- Alas, he was wrong. He had to tell Pakhi that he liked her yet he ended up saying her name. This was the major turning point in his life and the show. His heart had over-ruled his head again and those feelings surfaced. Destiny had played with him again because it was actually Kalpi there. Ah! When Kalpi ran away from him, he wanted to go towards her but was stopped by Pakhi. When Pakhi herself had come and confessed, he could've accepted and gotten his revenge. Yet, his heart had told him that was not the way to go. He had rejected her when he should've been accepting her. Sammy had warned him about this and he didn't realize the depth of his feelings until that very moment. This moment when he was stopped by Pakhi while going towards Kalpi actually reminds me of today. RagNa finally confessed to each other and are in the process of coming even closer when Pakhi again interrupted. But my heart says that Raghav would reject her every attempt when it becomes clear to him what she thinks and tell her straight that he loves Kalpi instead. That's how his revenge plan flopped and this is how the marriage plan would flop.
- Now it was Kalpi's turn to realize what he felt. He started approaching her and she just didn't know how to react. As much as she wanted to bask in his love, she was apprehensive due to his initial and her initial experiences with the things she liked. She didn't want to get close to him. This was his time to make space in her heart. She liked how he was trying to hard. She wanted to give him a chance, yet her brain had reprimanded her and made her see reality. She was reminded again and again of the wall that he had built between them. If she took one step towards him due to the confidence his love gave to her, she again took two steps back due to the society. CVs showed this phase as the understanding phase of RagNa. They showed so many misunderstandings betweem them. If they had wanted them to split up then they would've done that but they didn't because RagNa are the end game!
- She accidentally put color on him, indicating that she would bring color to his gray shades of life. He wasn't shown to be the nicest character on TV, but he definitely transformed into a nicer human being because of her. She had started showing him the positive side of his life. First he didn't like it, but then he accepted that change. He was mad at her for Holi but came anyways, hoping that she had been waiting for him. She was. Despite being a realist, she hoped that he would come. she wanted to be grounded yet her heart was floating to places. When he had come, she had lit up and wanted to rush to him. Then her apprehensions came again and she guarded her heart and hid her feelings. He understood of course because of no colors on her. Then he was the one to put color on her. You know what that means? He was also the one to bring happiness and color into her life. Kalpi also put color on his kurta as well, indicating that even in subtle ways, she had and will always bring happiness for him. Yes, at the end of the scene, he was taken away by Pakhi but he was only looking at her. What does that mean? No matter who takes him away from her, he would always be hers. She doesn't need to be besides him to make him look at her. He is hers, always.
- Despite the MUs that followed regarding the cop, Raghav was relentless to prove his love to her. That's when she realized his significance to her. He had made his way in her heart without he realizing it. When he ignored her, she felt bad. She not only wanted to apologize, but she always wanted to stay beside him. She slowly started opening up to him about her fears and vulnerabilities. She started considering him her apna and doing things for him, caring for him. He liked when he did that because he finally felt like he had a family. CVs showed that to give him that. Raghav loves her way too much to let her go because she gives him way too much happiness in his initially very sad life.
- Let's also not forget the bond she shares with Raghav's mother. Why would CVs show that bond of mother and daughter (that she didn't have with Kamla) if they weren't going to end up together? That's too much waste of screen-space and CVs would be stupid to do that.
- She has finally accepted his feelings, seeing how he was willing to accept the darkness in him and how she has given him the light to hope. He had bared himself to her, knowing that he could've gotten rejected. She only cried at his fears and mistakes and accepted him with his vulnerability and past. Not only that, she had gone onto comfort him. This is what CVs are trying to show. CVs are showing hardships and MUs only to show another side to their budding relationship. Kalpi would not let him go that easily either. He has made her feel loved. Remember the flower scene? I loved that because it showed that she was sad that her mother wasn't by her (she was with Pakhi instead), yet she realized that there was someone else for her who saw her as his first priority. I liked that scene so much because that has so much significance. It gave me hope that she would fight for RagNa. And her father would eventually come to support her as well! Just wait guys!
- I love how CVs showed a similar pattern in all of their major interactions. Introduction of new sensation, then frustration for the new sensation, then denial, then seeing the positive, then trying to live with it, and then finally being happy with it - That's how their love developed guys!
Phew, sorry for the long post. Someone had asked me to make a post to explain my view on things, because I wasn't that worried about the MUs so here it is. Sorry about the long read though!
P.S. - I hate complications in a show and too many tangles but I love the cute scenes we get from these MUs in this show lol
