Chapter 12: Welcome home

Kamla maa sees tai comfortable in the guest room, fast asleep, she turns towards Ragav and Kalpi who are seated on the day bed which is several meters away from the bed, totally absorbed into one another, unaware of their surroundings. What she sees, she does not like for Ragav is caressing Kalpi's neck as they talk to one another softly. She calls their attention, by asking aloud "Kalpi, where will you sleep?" Ragav moves his hand away from Kalpi's neck and sits up as Kalpi smiles and responds, "Aai, I will sleep here with tai... I shall sleep in this day bed; so that I will be able to hear tai should she need me during the night."

Kamla maa feels slightly reassured about the sleeping arrangement; however, she is slightly worried, as she has sensed the passion smouldering between Kalpi and Ragav. Needing a private moment with Kalpi, she says, "Kalpi, beta, change into your night clothes and prepare for bed... it is quite late" She looks at Ragav expectantly, waiting for Ragav to either leave the room or direct them to where Kalpi can change. Ragav gives Kamla maa an innocent look and blandly states, "Kalpi can use the second guest room for her toiletries and personal needs while she stays here... I have already placed her belongings in that room." He gives Kalpi a sheepish grin and quickly he heads out, not wanting Kamla maa to suspect anything. Kamla maa and Kalpi follow him to the second guest room.

Kalpi is busy preparing for bed, Kamla maa looks on thinking how to phrase her worries, as it is a sensitive subject. She hesitantly starts, "Kalpi... Kalpi..." Kamla maa takes Kalpi's hand into hers and they sit on the bed, Kamla maa continues softly, "Kalpi, I know that you and Ragav baba love each other very much and will get married soon with Bappa's kripa... but I just want to say that... when emotions run high, the chances of people getting carried away are more..." Kamla maa looks at Kalpi, her eyes imploring Kalpi to understand what she is trying to say. Kalpi blushes and looks down at the hands that are grasping hers and guiltily mumbles, "Aai don't worry."

Ragav stands silently by the entrance of his aai's room, having just reassured Kamla maa and Vithal before they left not to worry about Kalpi and that while Kalpi is here; she is his responsibility. For how long he stands there, watching Kalpi flittering about the room in her pj's making sure that his aai is comfortable, unaware of his presence he does not know. Kalpi sensing Ragav's presence turns towards him and is taken aback by the heated passion she sees in his eyes. She turns away, suddenly nervous... she does not know why but tonight she is nervous.

Kalpi looks back at Ragav, she sees him walking towards her, she swallows nervously for with each stride Ragav takes towards her, his eyes voicing the words he does not say... the depth of his longing and desire he feels for her. Ragav caresses her cheek, takes her hand and says hoarsely, "come" leading her out of aai's room. Kalpi allows him to lead her out, reeling in the depth of his desire for her.

As Ragav and Kalpi head towards the entrance, Kalpi observes Sammy standing by the door with an aarti thali and a kalash is at the entrance. She stops, overwhelmed with emotions. Ragav turns to see why Kalpi has stopped walking. Kalpi gives Ragav a tight hug, her eyes expressing her love for him. She never thought that she would receive the traditional welcome home. They stand by the entrance, both in their pj's, gazing into each other with love as Sammy takes their arti and welcomes them into their home for the first time as a couple. Sammy then heads off as he is talking softly into the phone.

Paakhi runs towards Sammy as he enters his house, she clasps him in a tight hug crying as he says, "Sorry I am late, things took longer than I expected." He tried to release himself from Paaki's hold, but she would not let go. He tries reasoning with her, "Pakhi, you need to calm down. Please calm down." Hiccupping away, Pakhi releases Sammy and says, "I am so sorry... hiccup hiccup... I did not know whom to turn to, hiccup hiccup..." Sammy sighs and goes into the kitchen to get her a glass of water, thinking "What a mess?" He feels sorry for her. As he gives Pakhi the glass of water, he says, "Pakhi you need to go home." Pakhi looks at Sammy and says passionately, "I am never going home." Sammy sighs some more and says, "Pakhi you can't stay here, this is a bachelor pad." He manages to convince Pakhi that it would be best if she went home and behaved as if nothing had happened. As he drops Pakhi home, he reminds her that she must not let on what she knows. He says, "Pakhi I trust you. Please don't betray Ragav." Pakhi nods and reassures Sammy that she will never betray Ragav.

Ragav walks towards Kalpi, his gaze filled with desire, as he nears Kalpi turns around, her heart is racing, as she is nervous. Ragav hugs her from behind, wrapping his arms around her waist as his lips trail along her neck, placing small kisses along the path and whispers, "Welcome home."

Thanks for the double updates, they were brilliant.

Really loving your SS, it's giving us the much needed respite from the Ragna tension and also is helping tide us over the weekend.

So Kalpi & Tai coming to live with Raghav, that's amazing. You know I wish the CV's would actually show us your version in the real show
