Chawl

Vitthal: Kamla, I know you have nerves going for Paakhi's ceremonies but where is your concern for Kalpi? She is a girl, she needs your attention. You get sad seeing her with her Ma but you don't see you push her to find comfort in someone else. Do you know she bruised her hand...I put ointment on it.

Kamla: Vitthal, what are you saying. I love both my daughters equally. It is not my fault she fails to understand me...She should understand that Paakhi has no one but me to do all this for her.

V(losing patience): She did not spend enough time with you to understand you and whose fault is that?

Kamla is about to retort but seeing Pakya and Kalpi stops.

Pakya: Aii, today was awesome...everything went amazing and you should have heard the compliments Kalpi received on her dressing sense and the way she decorated the hall. Kalpi, told you aii's choice in clothes is phenomenal.

Kamla for once in her life feels very guilty about her attitude towards Kalpi. She comes and hugs Kalpi..."Sorry daughter, I put so much pressure on you but you must know I love you so much."

K: Aai, I'm tired and have to go to office tomorrow. Also, Mehdi function is at night. Goodnight. She breaks free from Kamla's hug and gives a bear hug to her dada and baba.

Next Morning

Kalpi leaves for office early. Today they would start the 3^rd part of the act where they would blackmail Sahil with the confession video clip but hang up...making him go desperate and insane wondering who and why are they blackmailing him.

Raghav is in a joyful mood ever since the dance. He feels confident in the plan and they are successfully steering all projects from Prem.

R POV: How much my life has been changed because of Kalpi. She fixed everything broken and missing; even though I gave her hell but she always fought back and conquered. She is just so beautiful inside and out.

Gauri walks into Raghav's room and seeing him smile makes her heart content and eyes teary.

Gauri gives Raghav a hug and shuffles his hair..."Who are you thinking about and don't even dare to lie?"

R: Mom, how...well, I sort of...

R POV: what are you doing? This isn't the right time, Ma would tell us to screw revenge plan and would be adamant that I tell Kalpi about my feelings. I'm still not sure about them...Well okay so I can't stand any guy touching or even looking at her and I can't think straight around her but is that love...No..I have to be sure first... It is too fast...I probably like her...only that is it...

G: Go on...It would be nice to know this day not at the turn of the century...

R: I was just happy with the plan...Kalpi...I mean Kalpana is really smart...

G: Sure, if you say so...obviously she is a part of me...She has to be smart.

R(pretending to be hurt): what about me and puts his head on her lap.

G: You and Kalpi are both kids, so insecure...I love you both and show it to you both equally unlike others I have seen...

R: Who are you taking about and Kalpana and insecure...what a joke...she can make others insecure

G(in a scolding way): Raghav, you have to promise me never to make Kalpi feel insecure of our relationship...she...well between you and me...Kalpi didn't exactly have a loving supporting family as she does now...and so she has a lot of insecurities so please for me...never compare or make her feel that I love her less than I love you...because my heart and love for you both is and always will be equal.

R POV: Wow, mom protecting Kalpi with such lengths ...I want to know what has brought them so close together...Poor kalpi...I promise...You, me and Ma will always be each other priority with equal respect and love.

G: Now move, your big business brain needs to be at work and my legs need a breather...pulling Raghav's cheek...

R(grinning) So Kalpi told you the cheek story...I wonder if there are any secrets between you both.

G(grinning): finally, Kalpi...haan..Nope...no place for secrets... Now go to office or Kalpi will drag you with your ears. On cue, Kalpi called Raghav's cell to remind him of an important meeting.

R: Women...can't live with them or without them while shaking his head.

Office

Meeting goes great and they get the deal. Raghav offers to drop Kalpi home and she obliges. In the car, both talk and finally have a normal conversation about random things, favorites and intelligent debates. Much to their dismay, they arrive at Kalpana's home rather quickly.

R: I will see you at the function. Oh, ya mom said to keep your mehndi overnight and come visit her in the morning she wants to see it.

K(smiling): Okay, ask her to take medicines and drive safe.

R: Is your hand still bruised? Is it safe to put mehndi on it? (with concerned eyes)

K: My hand is perfect...thanks for asking...baba's haldi wala milk fixes everything (her eyes glittering with pride). "Thanks for asking...good night...My lord," with a smile . "Oh wait, there is something on your face and she wipes his cheek with her (black) napkin. "See you at night," says Kalpi smirking.

R POV: Someone is in a good mood..."GoodBye".

Raghav Home

Gauri opens the door only to find Raghav's one cheek black and laughs very hard.

Raghav is happy to see his mom laughing but wonders what is making her laugh so hard.

R: What are you laughing about?

Gauri drags him to the mirror, "See! Who did this? Wait let me guess Kalpi?"

R: WTH, ...but how dare she? I'm her boss. I won't leave her.

G: Don't forget I will warn her. Besides, did you play a prank on her? She would have done this only if you did something to her. She never initiates pranks, I know her.

Raghav huffs...You only take her side...I will see her tonight!

Chawl

Kamla still feeling guilty makes Kalpi's favorite food and asks her to enjoy herself with Mehndi rituals.

Kalpi is shocked but touched and voluntarily hugs Kamla, which she returns enthusiastically.

Mehndi Hall

Kalpi looks after the arrangement until she is forced to sit in front of the mehndi lady...She crafts a beautiful design on Kalpi's hand and asks what letter she wants to write on her hand...

Rahul intervenes and says R...before Kalpi could say no, the woman writes it grinning and congratulating Rahul on having such a beautiful companion.

K: What the hell, Rahul? This is not fair.

R: As if...I care besides... She doodled R and there are so many names with R like Raj, Raghav, Ramu, Rohit...not only Rahul so take a chill pill and enjoy the joke.

Kalpi breath gets hitched at the mention of Raghav's name.

K POV: Omg what will he think of me? I wrote his name...nope scratch that...he will think I like Rahul...oh but why am I so worried about what will he think...he is my boss and friend at most...okay maybe I like him a bit...okay a lot...shut up brain...God what will he think

Raghav watches this encounter and feels like crushing all bones in Rahul's body even when he is helping him..."How dare he", Raghav thinks, "she is mine!! He calms down when he realizes R can also mean Raghav and knowing the fact that Kalpi only thinks of Rahul as a friend."

Kamla escorts all the guys to go eat while all girls are complaining of hunger...Sammy being a sweetheart feeds Paakhi with his hands and both enjoy their meal; so does most of the married, engaged or dating couples. Rahul is this company is like a bee in midst of single flowers, feeding one single girl to another making Kalpi roll her eyes in disgust. However, Rahul texts Ma to call Kalpi and Raghav won't miss this opportunity to spend some time with Kalpi.

Kalpi's phone is ringing...she tries to get it by sitting, standing but can't find a way to reach it from her bag which is around her waist...

Raghav comes from behind and snakes his arms around her waist...

R: It is okay, it is only me...Don't go girly on me besides after the cheek prank I shouldn't be helping you but here I'm and you can't say thank you even...He sees the phone flashing Ma and puts it near her ear and doesn't allow her to mess her mehndi in trying to hold the cell.

Kalpi is so shocked to reply and breaks out of trance when she hears Ma's voice.

G: Kalpi, did you put Mehdi? How are you going to eat food? Give phone to Chintu...

Kalpi eye talks Raghav to take the call...

R: yes mom, Okay...fine I am...bye

Raghav drags Kalpi to the rooftop and brings food. He slowly and nicely feeds Kalpi under the moon and stars with light breeze and fairy lights...Kalpi is busy admiring his sweet gesture and the moonlight.

R: I ...umm didn't want you uncomfortable...so here..

K: Thank you...it is beautiful out here...I need fresh air anyways...Thank you for feeding me but you have to eat too...

Raghav and Kalpi eat food while slightly joking about Sakhi's marriage and their upcoming nok-jhoks...

R POV: It is actually fun spending time with her, she is so lively and sarcastic. Kalpi I wish I could tell you how beautiful you look in this green/yellow dress.

K POV: He fed me actually, who knew this ziddi, akroh and Khados boss could be such a different person...He is so Mr. Darcy (from pride and prejudice type).

Raghav indicates he should leave first and she should follow later...He leaves when Kalpi phone's rings again.

Prem on the other hand is grinning like a Cheshire cat, he somehow convinces Pakhya in a dare to say, "Could you come outside towards XYZ street near the hall?" and records this...He then takes Pakya's cell phone and dials Kalpi...

Kalpi is worried about her dada calling her and in hurry she leaves without informing anyone. She reaches the street only to see a group of 4 guys with Prem.

K: Where is dada?(scared for him)...Did you do something? What do you wish to gain from hurting him Pre..Prem?

P: dada...oh stupid useless Pakhya you mean...I mean he led me directly to you...see you came her without me lifting a finger...You surprise me Bai ki beti...Here you should be scared for yourself...not your brother.

Prem signals the guys to surround her when Kalpi tries to run away...

P: Kalpana...you should know when you are defeated...your guard dogs aren't here...Nice job on the leash...I mean a chawl girl has 2 elite rich guys wrapped around her finger...alluring I find it...how cheap of you ...

K: Enough, yes because they understand giving and taking respect...you call them dogs... then that would make you a snake...no a disgusting chameleon ...Don't you dare say anything bad about the people I'm friends with... Kalpi being smart dials a random number (luckily Raghav's) and yell, "what do you hope to accomplish by getting me to this XYZ street, Prem?"

R POV: what is she yelling? Omg she is in trouble...he runs to the street only to find 4 guys loathing after her in lust and Prem smirking...

P: Samrat was right girls like you yell about respect, respect...Well, you won't have any left...Guy take her, do what you wish and then kill her...or dump her...who care she would be dead anyways morally, socially and functionally.

Raghav is in fuming anger hearing this and starts attacking the guys...

One of them touches Kalpi's hand and is knocked unconscious by Raghav...Soon all the goons run along with Prem who wet his pants seeing this side of Raghav.

Raghav grabs Kalpi roughly and hugs her with all his might...

R: Kalpi...are you crazy? What were you doing here? Don't you know how worried I became when I heard you yell Prem?

Kalpi was equally finding comfort in Raghav's arms; she was listening to his heartbeat.

K: I'm okay... I know I say this a lot ever since I met you...but thank you...I ...he tricked me into thinking dada was in trouble...We have to be smart and not undermine our enemy...learned that lesson.

R: But I'm not relieved by this experiment...He is insane...He belongs in jail...that is it...screw this...

K: this...this is payment time for them(grabbing Raghav's cheeks in her tiny dried mehndi hands)...It was my fault...but Ma...I have to do this for Ma...please (crying)

R: Okay...but any close call like this...we go to police...promise

K: pinky promise but promise not to tell Ma or anyone about this...It is our secret Okay?

R(mimicking Kalpi): Pinky promise causing a smile on Kalpi's face.

Raghav kisses Kalpi's forehead and engulfs her in another hug...

Rahul calls Sahil after the function to blackmail...causing quiet a havoc in their bedroom...each jumping at slightest movement and blaming each other...

S: This is all your fault, someone recorded our conversation when I was trying to calm you down...uugh..stupid woman...I should have stayed single...women are responsible for destruction.

N: This is her...I bet...it is her ghost in someone and she is doing this to get even...First, her son ran away so we couldn't claim his property, then your stupid minded daughter had to fall for Sammy and now Gauri is back...I will do pooja from tomorrow...God save me from that woman...It was all Sahil's fault.

S: Shut up and you were 50% partner in everything.
