Part 10

They heard a gunshot.They didn't have to turn back to know it was Panther.He had found out.Pakhi and Kalpana looked at each other.Pakhi turned back to the steering wheel and pressed on the accelerator and began driving fast.Kalpana held on to the dashboard with one hand and her seat with the other.Pakhi kept her gaze firmly on what was in front of her and the car but another gunshot caught her attention.She kept driving through the crowded forest.She looked into her rear mirror and widened her eyes.Another car was following them.Most likely Panther.Even Kalpana noticed.She got worried "Pakhi he's behind us"

"Lets just hope not this time" said Pakhi also worried.

After zig zagging through the forest many times,they slowed down.They had lost Panther.The girls sighed in relief and smiled at each other."I can't believe we escaped" said Kalpana grinning a bit.

Kalpana smiled.Suddenly the car jerked forward and stopped.The girls looked at each other and stepped out the vehicle.Looking around they noticed two of their tires were punctured "How did this happen?" questioned Kalpana.

Pakhi shrugged."Luckily I have two spare tires..I'll go get them" Pakhi walked over to her trunk and opened it.Taking out the two tires she dragged them to the front.She looked up and frowned.Kalpana was nowhere."Kalpi...Kalpi" she yelled.She was nowhere in sight.Pakhi panicked.Had Panther finally caught up to them and kidnapped her? 'But if he took Kalpi then why didn't he take me?' she questioned desperately looking around for any clues of Kalpana's trace.

Pakhi had gone to get the tires when Kalpana had a knife near her neck with a man,obviously not Raghav,threatened her if she didn't come with him and be quiet,he would kill her.Kalpana reluctantly followed gazing back at Pakhi,who was busy getting the tires.The man blindfolded her and took her to an unknown destination.Kalpana followed him blindly.He pushed her in a dark room after taking her blindfold off.Kalpana looked around adjusting to the only small light from the lamp hanging from the ceiling.Kalpana heard the door open and turned around.A woman and a man stood side by side looking at her.They walked up to Kalpana and just stared at her.Feeling uncomfortable she said "What?Why did you kidnap me?"

The woman said "We need information"

Kalpana sighed "I don't know where Panther was before 2 years ago"

The man and woman just stared at her confused.The man said "We don't want to know anything about Panther.We want to know about Aarze"

"Aarze?" said Kalpana recalling she had heard that name before.It sounded fairly familiar.She recalled her parents names 'Vitthal Jhadav and Kamla Jhadav'.She knew she had heard that name a lot when her parents were alive but she couldn't tell who was the person.

"Aarze is dead now but his information is still valuable.Tell us everything you know about him" said the woman getting impatient.

"Look you little girl..we have no patience so just quickly tell us what you know!" yelled the man.

Kalpana flinched "But I really don't know"

The man took out his sharp knife "A criminal is never patient"

Kalpana gulped and took a step back.The man took a step forward but stopped hearing a loud crash.They turned and saw a car crashing through the door and stopping in front of Kalpana.Kalpana yelped stepping back but the car didn't immediately stop.It kept driving around them.The door opened and an arm shot out,grabbing Kalpana by the wrist and pulling her into the car.The car then drove out the building with Kalpana.

Kalpana struggled to get out of the anonymous man's arms but he wasn't letting go.He had a mask on which made it difficult to tell who it was.Finally getting an arm free,Kalpana ripped off the anonymous's mask and gasped.The man had a long scar going down his left cheek which looked old.His face was rusty,almost looked like it was made of stone.Kalpana leaned back,trying to keep her distance and accidentally unlocked the door.The door flew open making Kalpana fall out.Kalpana fell and kept rolling on the ground until she hit her forehead against a rock.Kalpana winced and fell unconscious.

Kalpana winced and slowly opened her eyes.Her forehead hurt a lot.Kalpana blinked trying to get familiar with the surroundings.The room looked oddly familiar.Kalpana slowly sat up and leaned against the head board.She held her forehead feeling a soft bandage wrapped around.She looked around once again.There was a huge cupboard with a huge desk next to it.Near her bed was a black nightstand with a lamp.Then she realized it.She was in Raghav's room.Kalpana closed her eyes and smiled.She sighed in relief.She knew she was now safe but she wondered how she got there.She wondered why she wasn't in her room.All these thoughts made her head ache. "Looks like you're awake"

Kalpana snapped her eyes up and saw Raghav in a nice light blue shirt with black pants.He remained expressionless but she knew he was angry at her for escaping.Kalpana was so happy to see him.She got up from the bed and ran towards him,wrapping her arms around him tightly.Raghav took a step back from the unexpected hug but nonetheless hugged her back.Kalpana pressed herself to him not wanting to let go.Raghav caressed her hair "Thank you...thank you so much for saving me" said Kalpana gratefully.

Kalpana smiled and finally broke off the hug."I-I am sorry for trying to escape but where is Pakhi?"

"No..I suspect you two will try and patch up another plan to try and escape and I can't allow that" Kalpana nodded understanding and slowly made her way to the door "Where do you think you are going?" asked Raghav,making her stop.She turned to face him

"This is your room" She looked at him confused.Raghav took a step towards her "Remember when I had warned you that if I catch you trying to escape again,I will either lock you in a room or get you to share a room with me.I decided to get you to share the room with me"

"Rest" he commanded.

Raghav picked her up.Though she struggled a lot,he didn't budge.He layed her down gently on the bed and covered her with the blanket "It's late..sleep...I'll come in a while..I have to do something important..so good night"

"But where are you going to sle-" He left before she could complete her question.Kalpana sighed and decided to rest,happy to know:Pakhi is safe and she herself is safe.Within a couple seconds,she fell asleep.
