Part 3:
That night Kalpana could only think about Raghav. She had thought she could see a hint of jealousy in Raghav when she was dancing with Mehta. Of course, she hadn't expected him to confess to her so soon. But oh, how much her heart yearned for Raghav to say those three magical words to her. She was thinking all this when a thought struck her. She was shocked by her own behavior. How could she think about Raghav like that? He was just her friend and that was it. But as memories of all the happy moments she had spent with Raghav came to her she felt happy.
Raghav wanted to confess to Kalpi and he thought a dinner date was a good idea. He called Paakhi and asked her to tell Kamla that they would be staying in Goa for one more day. Paakhi knew what was going on due to Sammy and she agreed. She told him that she would handle Kamla Ma. As Raghav hung up, he wondered if Kalpi loved him too. Of course she loved him otherwise why would she be so caring with him? And besides even if she didn't he had to confess his feelings to her. He didn't know for how long he could stay without confessing his feelings.
Morning:
In the morning Kalpi met Raghav at breakfast. "Aapne apni luggage tyaar nahi ki?" she asked. "Hum Mumbai keliye nikal re thai na?" Raghav shook his head. "Humeisha kaam kaam karti rehti ho kabhi fun bhi kar lo na." Kalpi shook her head. "Hum yahaan vacation keliye nahi, kaam keliye aaye hai, sir" she told him. "Aur Kamla Ma chinta kar ri hogi." "No worries, meine Paakhi ko bol diya hai voh Kamla Ma ko bataa degi" Raghav told her with a smile. "Toh aaj hum log ghoome ge?" Kalpi asked excitedly. Raghav nodded.
Her smile faded when she said, "Meine toh achi dresses pack hi nahi ki kya mein yeh formal office wear pehnoo gi?" Raghav chuckled and told her that they could go shopping if she wished. She agreed.
And soon they were standing in a mall. Kalpi looked around and a clothing shop caught her eye. Raghav followed her in there. He watched as Kalpi walked around examining all the saris. She seemed to be stuck not knowing which sari to buy out of the two she was holding. Raghav grinned and told her to just buy both. "Challo phir buy karo mere liye" Kalpi said with a smile. He nodded and told the store lady to pack the saris. As they waited for the store lady a silver sari caught his eye. Kalpi would look stunning in it. Kalpi who followed his gaze said, "Achi hai." "Hmm" Raghav said. "Aap par achi lage gi" Kalpi said while giggling.
"What are you saying Kalpi?" he asked while frowning. "I was envisioning you in the sari and you are-" Raghav shut his mouth realizing what he had said. Kalpi smiled and said, "Toh mein yeh saari try karoon?" Raghav nodded.
A few minutes later Kalpi came out wearing the sari and she was looking gorgeous. Raghav just stood there and gazed at her. Only when she snapped her fingers in front of his face did he come out of his trance. Kalpi smiled and said, "Mein hoon hi beautiful." Raghav grinned at her. She was so innocent. After they had payed for the clothing they left the shop.
For an hour long, Kalpi led Raghav from one shop to another. "Kaafi achi exercise hai" Raghav told her. Kalpi just glared at him which told him to keep his mouth shut.
In the evening, Kalpi was really tired and went to her room to relax. At eight Raghav offered to take her out for a candlelight dinner. Kalpi smiled. Was it Raghav saying this?
Restaurant:
Kalpi looked around the restaurant and no one was in it. There was a table in the middle of the room. It was simply beautiful. Raghav pulled out a chair for her and she sat down saying, "Thank You." Raghav made a show of bowing in front of her and sat across from her. "Aap prince hai?" Kalpi asked smiling. "Kutch aisa hi samaj lo" Raghav told her.
He looked into her big beautiful eyes. Kalpi saw him looking into her eyes and she stared back. They broke out of the gaze when a waiter came to serve them. Once the waiter had left, Raghav told her to start eating. All throughout dinner Kalpi noticed that Raghav kept looking at her.
After they were done eating, the waiter took the dishes away. Kalpi kept tapping her fingers on the table not sure what to do. Raghav went off to the rest room but came back holding a small box. "Issme kya hai?"Kalpi asked curiously. He just put his fingers to her lips and told her to close her eyes. She agreed and shut her eyes. Raghav went behind her and pushing her hair out of the way put a diamond necklace around her neck. Then he went in front of her and told her to open her eyes. She immediately opened her eyes and looked down at the necklace. Oh it was so beautiful. Tears immediately filled her eyes. "Raghav isski kya zaroorat..?" Raghav just shook his head and clapped once.
Kalpi was surprised when she heard music coming. She watched as he came down to his knees and offered her his hand. She was really happy thinking that he would confess today. The song 'Tum Hi Ho' played in the background. Both of them were having a lot of fun dancing with each other.
Raghav watched as she danced along with him. Just like a real partner would. She was the right person for him. He watched as she kept looking down shyly. He told her that there was no need to be so shy. She just smiled and looked into his loving eyes.
Kalpi noticed that Raghav's face was really emotional. He was a partner anyone would want. He cared and loved her so much. She really wished that he would confess his feelings to her.
Both thought that they would be able to confess during their dinner date but destiny had something else in store for them.
After the dance ended, Raghav wanted to tell her his feelings. He was about to tell her. "I-I..." he started. Kalpi looked at him hopefully. "I-mein.. tumse.." Raghav broke off. He didn't have the courage to tell her. How would she react? He just shook his head and told her that they better get going. Kalpi was disappointed that he hadn't confessed to her. Maybe he didn't love her? Possible...
They got in the car and were driving back to the hotel when suddenly a whole gang of guys on motorcycles blocked their path. Raghav got out of the car and asked, "Kya hai?" The goons told him to hand everything over to them. "I will.. Not" Raghav replied firmly. By now, Kalpi was standing behind him. The goons looked over at her diamond necklace. "Theek hai sab kutch rakh lo bas voh diamond necklace humme de do" a goon said, his voice greedy. Kalpi clutched her necklace. This was such a special gift Raghav had given her.
A goon headed towards her and was about to grab her necklace when Raghav punched him. "Meri Kalpi se door Raho!" He yelled in anger. How dare that goon take Kalpi's necklace away from her! How dare the goon even go near her.
The goon stood up and signaled to his gang. They all took a step toward Raghav. "Seedhe seedhe dedo nahi toh boht maar padegi" one said. He lifted his hand to punch Raghav when he grabbed it. He twisted his hand with so much force that some of the bones may have literally broke. He swung his arm at the goon. He jumped up and kicked two goons at once. One by one, he hit each goon with so much force that one cried out,"Mama!"
Thinking that this was not a good thing for them the goons immediately ran away.
Raghav turned to Kalpi. "Tum theek ho na?" he asked her. She was crying and hugged him. "Haan, Raghav" she replied.
After a while they broke apart and Kalpi said, "Aapne apni jaan khatre mein kyun daali? Aap necklace de dete na." "Koi bhi meri Kalpi ka kutch nahi bigaar sakta" Raghav said. "Mere hote huy toh bilkul bhi nahi." "Par Kyun?" Kalpi asked. "Kyunki..." Raghav trailed off. "Ab bolo bhi, Raghav!" Kalpi said.
Raghav noticed the hope in her voice. Yes, he would tell her now. He couldn't wait any longer. "Because I love you!" he said. "Mein tumse apni jaan se bhi zyaada pyaar karta hoon!" He watched as she smiled widely. "Sach?" she asked. He nodded. "Aapne pele kyun nahi kaha?" she asked. "I was scared.." Raghav said.
Kalpana felt as if she was the queen of the world. He prince charming had finally confessed to her.
"Lekeen tum aise kyun keh ri ho jeise tumme mere yeh kehne ka intezaar tha?" Raghav asked. "Oh sheesh, Raghav. Obviously because I love you too!" Kalpi replied. There she had said it.
Raghav was surprised. She too loved him, He was scared for no reason at all!
He took her face in his hands. "Tumne bol diya na? Aaj se mein humeisha tumaare saath rahunga" he told her. She nodded. Raghav opened his arms wide for her and they hugged. "Sir aaj mein boht khush hoon" she said. "Lekeen mujhse zyaada nahi" Raghav told her. Pulling away from each other they gazed into eachother's eyes. They could only see love in each others eyes. Taking her hand in his they drove off. Today even the moon seemed brighter. And so this was a wonderful trip for the both of them...
