Part IV
Kalpana wakes up early in the morning and goes to temple. She is praying God to give her strength to face everything and to fulfill her aai's dream. she comes home, gets ready and leaves for the office. Dev is standing behind his car infront of chawl.
Dev : Pal, heer's marriage is fixed . Engagement and sangeet is on coming Monday and Marriage is on Tuesday.
Kalpana sighed breath of relief. She was afraid that her friendship may ruin Heer's life.
Dev : Mr. Raghav singhania is getting married to Miss Pakhi kapoor on same day
But the very next words of Dev have pierced her heart.
Dev is happily blabbering about wedding preperation but Kalpana can sense his sorrow. other hand, Dev had already seen aglimpse of pain in her eyes when he mentioned the marriage of Raghav and Pakhi.But they never forced each other to share their feelings. They always allow each other ample of time to come out with their feelings. It is the beauty of their relationship. They are best buddies.
Dev drops Kalpana at office and tells her that he will pick her at evening. Kalpana waves goodbye to Dev and enters office. Sammy and Raghav looks at them. sammy can see Raghav is hurt and angry. sammy always liked Kalpana.He always believed this girl can bring best out of his friend. BUt is this the same Kalpana who loves Raghav.Or she was just pretending it.He knows
Raghav is hurting Kalpana but he also knows that Raghav loves her madly. Sammy dialed heer's No and invites her for lunch. He wants to know the relation between Dev and Kalpana.Otherhand Raghav is pacing restlessly in his cabin. He just can't believe he loves this two timing girl.
In the Restaurant, sammy and heer are having their lunch. Heer is bubbly and chirpy unlike kalpana. sammy had fallen in love with her for her innocence. she is like a child, so full of life. he heard about pal from her mouth many times but he could not imagine pal is kalpana. Sammy is adoring Heer who is blabbering. He casually asks Heer is kalpana dev's girlfriend.
Heer started laughing uncontrobally : oh sam, Bhai and Pal are boyfriend-girfriend. oh god it's so funny. Even jealous suhana will laugh on this joke.
Sammy: who is Suhana.
Heer : Bhai's girlfriend. She is the kind of girl who doubts every girl who talks with bhai but she will laugh on ur joke.
Suddenly Heer gets serious : Sam they are best buddies. They share a very beautiful friendship. they are related by their loneliness, their sorrow.
Sam looked at Heer . she is crying : Sam, U know bhai always wants to keep me away from every pain but he had faced it alone and then pal came in our life. She was as lonely as my brother in boarding school. she was so caring that we became friends. Bhai and Pal share a special bond. U know why we call her Pal. it means moment. she is a beautiful moment of our life.
Sammy is feeling ashamed of his thinking. He is a mordern 21st century guy but can't accept a guy and a girl as best friends. His respect for Kalpi has increased. But he is not gonna reveal this to Raghav, Raghav should also learn how much it pains when u see ur love with someone else.
He hugs Heer.
The week has passed and it was quite eventful . on one hand Kalpana was helping aaji and Dev for Heer's marriage preparation and other hand, she was sending Mr. Singhaniya's
love gifts to his would be bride Pakhi. Raghav had forced her to order, pack and send every gift and Kalpana had wonderfully done her job..She was hurt but she would not let Raghav know this. once or twice she had even suggested Raghav to write personalized note for Pakhi on behalf of him. Raghav got very furious when she dared to suggest it.
It is monday . Kalpana is helping Heer to get ready for Sangeet ceremony.
Heer is looking stunning in pink lehanga and Kalpana is luking ravishing in white salwar. Heer is feeling sad for leaving her brother. She is also very much worried about their plan. Aaji comes from behind and says their plan is going to be successful and asks her to enjoy this moment. Three ladies hug each other affectionately.
Sangeet ceremony starts.Kalpana's family has arrived. Kamla Bai is very happy as her one daughter is getting married to her prince charming but she missed to see her othe daughter's negligence in taking meals. she also missed to see Kalpana's smile which never reaches to her eyes this days. But Aaji has noticed everything and She and Dev have a doubt that it is related
to Raghav.But Aaji is very proud of this girl who is facing everything with so much strength. She is pretending to be happy for her one best friend and Planning to fix other's life.
Sammy and Heer exchanges ring and then dance performance starts. Heer and sammy dances on bahon ke darmiyan passionately. Pakhi performs on Mera Mahi boda shona hai. Raghav does not dance and No one dares to ask him to dance.Dev starts dancing on 'gori gori' and Pulls kalpana on the dance floor.Dev and Kalpana dances so enthusiastically that they set stage on fire. Everyone claps for them but Raghav is burning in anger.Nettu Kapoor dances on'Banno Rani' and Kamla bai sings 'Betiyan to babul ki raniyan hai '.Kalpana suddenly notices that Dev is missing from the party. she asks Aaji about Dev but Aaji informs her that she has not seen him after the engagement. She goes on terrace to find Dev. She sees Dev's back and called him Dev turns to her .Kalpana looks at Dev. he is crying.Kalpana knows very well that how much Dev loves Heer. she is his only family. Aaji is there but Heer is not just her sister, she is like a daughter to him. Dev's mother died during birth of Heer. Dev had raised his lil sister as his father
could not cope up with his wife's death. Kalpana hugs him tightly and tells him to be happy for his sister's sake and informs him that Heer is asking for him. Dev goes down to share his sister's happiness.
A person seeing them togather is burning in rage. After Dev leaves, Kalpana is staring at stars and thinking about irony of her life. After a while she turns to get down but a strong hands pulls him and at a very next moment, Raghav pined her to the wall and moved closer to her yelling Ms yadav, I never knew you are so cheap that you can do anything for money. Raghav tightens his grip on her arms. Kalpana winces in pain but Raghav is not in his senses. He is continuously throwing insults to her. Kalpana gathers all her courage and tries to push him away. Raghav again tightens his hold on her arms saying he is not interested to touch her and pushes her on the floor and leaves the terrace. Kalpana sees her broken glass bangles on the floor.Blood is flowing from the wounds of her hand. But kalpana is not feeling any pain in hand as it is so small infront of the pain of her heart. she is sitting there as a statue.
In Party, another drama is going on. A girl rushes to stage and snatches microphone from host's hand and is shouting I love u Dev. how can u marry someone else. how can u do this to me. I am sorry for everything. Don't be angry love.Dev was busy in conversation with event manangement team. He heard the words and rushes to the stage. He can't believe his eyes suhana is standing there. He goes to Suhana and asks what is she doing here but Suhana is franatically repeating her lines. Dev holds her and tells he is not getting married, Heer is getting married. Suhana is shouting why Kalpana had told her that he is getting married. Dev: Pal had said u that I am getting married. they realizes Kalpana's plan. Dev is angry on kalpana but he sees Suhana who bends on her knees and proposes him will u marry me Dev. I am sorry for every thing? Dev nods
in yes and hugs her infront of all.
Raghav has entered into hall when this drama is going on. He is feeling ashamed for his behaviour with kalpana.
Don't know how long kalpana has been sitting there.She is not crying. Heer comes to terrace to give her the news that their plan is successful. She sees her sitting on the floor. Her hand is bleeding. she jerks her off and asks what happens to her?
Kalpana : Mistakenly stepped on stone,So fell on the ground and my bangles got broken.
Heer : Pal your hand is bleeding. Can't you feel the pain.
Kalpana : Maybe broken glass piece has pierced in the skin.
Heer helps her to stand and takes her to hall. she asks a waiter to bring First Aid box.
Kamla bai and Aaji come running to Kalpana and ask what hapens to her?
Heer explains everything to them.
Pakhi also comes running to them and hugs Kamla Ma seeing blood in Kalpana's hand as she can't stand blood.
Kamla Ma is reassuring Pakhi while Aaji is bandaging kalpana's wounds.
Raghav is seeing her from bar. He is hating himself for hurting her. he tightens his grip on glass and it breaks. Glass pieces pierced in his skin and his hand starts bleeding.
He has given himself punishment for hurting her. Seeing Raghav's face and Kalpana's condition, Sammy understands everything. Then he notices bleeding hand of Raghav and tries to bandage it.
But Raghav sternly denies to put any bandage on his wound.
Sammy : Raghav don't hurt yourself. Just stops ur game.
Raghav : I have come a long way Sammy. I don't have any path to return.
Sammy : Please Raghav don't be stern.
