Part 21:
Next day, Kalpana keeps fast and refuses to have breakfast. Kamla is happy that her daughter is giving a chance to her marriage. Seeing Kamla's smile, Kalpana realises that her fast will give false expectations to her parents and Raghav. She is keeping this fast only for Gouri aunty's sake. she had noticed her happiness when she told that she would keep fast and also the disappointment when Raghav told her not to keep fast. But in deep down her heart, she knows that she is keeping this fast for Raghav's well being also. She wants to see him happy.But she does not want to let others know this. So she asks kamla to pack her tiffin for lunch. Kamla feels bad as Kalpi is not ready to give Raghav a chance but it is waste of time to make her understand. she is stubborn and egoistic. But she prays to god to give her daughter some sense.
Kalpi leaves for the office. On her way to office, She goes to temple and sees the married woman are performing rituals for the fast.
She prays to god : 'I don't know the exact rituals but Please Keep Raghav happy. If my fast will keep him happy, then I am ready to keep any fast for him.'
In office, Raghav is waiting for Kalpana impatiently as Kalpana is late. Kalpana comes to office and goes to Rahul's cabin but does not find him. So, she asks a collegue about Rahul. Her collegue tells her that Rahul is not well. so, he is not coming office today. Kalpana gets worried for Rahul and tries to Call him but his phone is unreachable. Raghav approches towards Kalpana's desk to talk to her and seeing lunchbox on her desk, He gets sad as his last hope that she will give their marriage a chance shatters. He himself would have feed her if she would have tried to keep this fast as he knows she is still weak. But he wanted her to keep this fast to respect their relationship. Then he listens Kalpana's conversation with her collegue and Her concern for Rahul makes him restless. He start burning in jealousy. He calls Kalpana into his cabin.
Raghav ( in anger ) : How many times, I have to say u Kalpana that stay away from Rahul.
Kalpana (too in anger) : He is a friend and I don't need ur advice for making friends.
Raghav : Kalpana, You believes people easily but he is not a trust worthy person. The way he looks at you. I can't explain it to u.
Kalpana : No need to expalin it to me. I am no more the girl who used to trust people easily. Now, I know whom to trust and whom to not.
Saying so Kalpana goes out of cabin leaving behind a hurt Raghav.
After coming out of his cabin, She recalled her harsh words to him and regrets but it is too late.
And Raghav knows the exact meaning of her words. She is not ready to trust him again and give their relationship a new start. He is hurt beyond limits.
At night, Kalpana is ready to leave from office , she gets a call from Rahul and he asks her to meet him as he is not feeling well and he is alone in the home.Kalpana feels bad for him. Kalpana leaves the office and takes an auto. Raghav sees her leaving and he is shocked to hear the address which Kalpana gave to the auto driver. Raghav self thinks it is the address of Rahul's home. why is she going to his house at this time, I can't trust Rahul. and He starts following Kalpana.
Kalpana reaches Rahul's home and knocks on the door. Rahul opens the door. Kalpana is surprised to see him perfectly alright. Rahul asks her to come in and she enters into the house hesitantly. Raghav is watching her from a distance.
In Rahul's house,Kalpana is shocked to see whole house decorated with flowers.
Kalpana(in anger ) : what is all this? you are perfectly alright. Why did u ask me to come here saying that you are ill?
Rahul(smirks) : So that I can tell u my heart's deepest desire. I love u Kalpana..
Kalpana is shocked to hear this.
Kalpana : Mr. grewal, you are thinking wrong about me. I don't love u.
Rahul: You will start loving me in some days. Just give me a chance Kalpana and I will fill ur life with love.
Rahul tries to touch Kalpana and Kalpana shrugs him off.
Kalpana : I will never love u. I have loved only one person in my life and I always love him.
Rahul (in a furious tone ) : No one dares to reject me. And don't tell me that U love that loser
Singhania. U need someone like me.
Kalpana : Don't u try to compare yourself with my Raghav. U are nothing in front of him.
Rahul : Great Mr. Singhania who can't control his wife is better than me. U had came here leaving him.
Kalpana : I had came here for sake of humanity as I don't know that u are devil. I am regretting that once I saved ur life.
Rahul : You have called me devil, Now see what can a devil do.
Rahul tries to misbehave with her and Kalpana runs from there and unlocks the door after struggling a lot and run out of Rahul's house and clashes with Raghav who is waiting for her. Kalpana hugs him tightly and cries. Raghav sees the distraught condition of Kalpana and Rahul who is following her.
Raghav removes his blazer and wraps Kalpana in it and starts beating Rahul. Kalpana is too shocked to understand anything. Rahul and Raghav are fighting like they will kill each other. Raghav punches Rahul hard and rahul falls on the ground. raghav is ready to hit Rahul again when Kalpana stops Raghav.
Kalpana : Leave him, Raghav.
Raghav holds Kalpana's hands and make her sit in his car and starts driving car in full speed. Kalpana tells him to slow down car and he increases speed. Kalpana fears his rage and Says : I am sorry, Raghav.
Raghav stops the car and looks at her.
He is angry and hurt and he starts shouting on her
Raghav : Sorry for what ? You are perfect Kalpana. You can't be wrong. It is always me who is wrong. I had broken ur heart and trust. I had broken ur dreams. I had married u forcefully. I had hurt innocent people in my revenge. and you are always the victim of my plans. I am a devil in your eyes. Did you ever try to understand why I did all this.No, Have u ever tried to understand how does it feel to lose ur loved ones becoz of someone's greed. Have u ever tried to understand how does it feel when U had to live alone though your Mother is alive. Do you know how much it hurts when you hurt someone whom you love more than your life. Do you know how you falls low in your own eyes when you hurt innocent people becoz of ur revenge. No, you don't know and you will never understand. Do you know how much it hurts when u have to choose between revenge and love. How much it hurts when u falls low in the eyes of the person whom u love more than yourself.No and you never know. You can trust a stranger but not the person whom u claim to love since 11 years. I have warned you many times about Rahul's attitude but you did not bother to listen to me as you trust Rahul more than me. I had lost my last hope today. you claimed to forgive me but you are not ready to accept me back. I will free u from this forced relationship.You wanted this, right.
Kalpana tries to say something but Raghav gestures her to stop and he starts driving the car.
Kalpana is hurt to hear his sudden outburst. Today he had opened up his every wound to her. Though, she always knows it but hearing all these from his own mouth is heart wrenching. she had hurt him so badly. She is feeling guilty for not trusting him.
Raghav stops the car infront of chawl and takes Kalpana to her home. Kamla is shocked to see Kalpana and Kalpana hugs her mother tightly and starts crying.
Kamla asks Raghav about Kalpana's condition and he assures her that she is alright.
Kamla asks Kalpana not to cry and be strong. says that she is going to make tea for her and Raghav baba.
Kalpana goes to washroom to wash his face and Kamla takes Kalpana's lunchbox to the kitchen and surprised to see the food untouched. Raghav notices the same.
