Woh? he repeated raising an eyebrow and a half frown but smile on his lips. U mean shameless? ...he bit his lower kip with a smirk.
Kalpi did not want to say that word but nodded. Raghav laughed out loud! Kalpi you are so innocent! He left her waist thinking that she felt uncomfortable with his PDA(public display of attention)!
Kalpi cant deny she was disappointed the moment Raghav broke the contact and removed his hands from her waist. Then she felt his gaze on her and he came very close to her face. His nose almost touched hers his eyes piercing hers, his lips parted and then he leaned his forehead on hers. Oh Come on Kalpi! Why are you torturing me like this? Do you even realise how much you affect me? My life has taken a 360 degree turn. Ask Sammy how much I have changed since you have entered my life! You make me believe in things that I thought never existed! And now you are keeping yourself away from me by making the excuse of our classes. Please look into my eyes, cant you see what I feel for you? Cant you feel the emotions whenever I touch you, (he asked holding her shoulders and slipped his hands over her entire arms with a feather touch)? I need you Kalpi, I need you to make me become a better person! I need you to complete me. Never ever in my life I had thought of allowing someone into my life! But you just barged straight into my heart without even knocking it!
Head to head, they were very close that they could feel the breath of one another. Kalpi had her eyes closed as she had goosebumps all over her when he had caressed her hands woth his feather touch! They both were breathing heavily now! Was it the heat in the elevator or the sexual tension between the two, they could feel the temperature meter rising!? Kalpi was enjoying this proximity, this attention and all that Raghav had just said! Her eyes welled up with tears of joy to know that this someone who loved her to no end was none other than Raghav! She wanted to hold him, hug him, kiss him and declare her love to him but she remembered her baba's words. Trying to restrain the storm that rose within her with a herculean effort, she took one last deep breath and replied.
Sir! Please try to understand my viewpoint too. I am under a shock! I am not able to understand what do I do? All this is too overwhelming to me! To a person who had to always prove herself to get the love and attention that was rightfully hers all this love from you is too much too handle. Do give me time and I shall give you the answer!
Raghav smiled his eyes still closed. He moved back and said So it is not a No right? Which means is it a Yes? alright alright I will not force you. He opened his eyes and smiled. His smile which was the best thing Kalpi loved in him. His smile was so endearing and made him look 10 years younger and was so irresistible. He winked at her , another torture to her heart which constantly skipped beats and was beating irregularly sending her pulse rate rising and dipping!
She just lowered her gaze and said Sir I am feeling...and she felt as if the earth is sinking or slipping away from below her feet! She was feeling giddy! Raghav held her and patted her cheeks Kalpi. He saw her breathing was not normal! He panicked! Oh no she must be getting suffocated due to the closed lift! I hope she is not claustrophobic he thought! No else she would have panicked earlier! What to do? He tried to remove her dupatta that was around her neck and sat down. He himself loosened his vest and opened the first few buttons of his shirt! He made her lie on his lap and screamed out for help! The securities panicked they said they are trying their best!
Raghav cursed them and then the lift company and turned his attention towards Kalpi. He fanned her and felt he must loosen her clothing that were tight on her as it would help her breathe.
He was not sure how she would react to this but he cared a damn! He reached out to pull her strings at the back and then slid his hand under her top. He had to control his physical urge to touch her! He searched for her undergarment hooks and unhooked them upon finding them and rubbed her back and he made her sit straight his right hand across her waist and his left hand rubbing her back!
Kalpi started breathing normally and he was glad about it! He made her lean on the lift wall and searched her bag for something to drink and was glad that she carried a small bottle of water. He made her drink the water and she was coming to senses. He folded his sleeves and they both were almost bathing in sweat!
He felt nauseous too! He too gulped some water! He was so frustrated that he started banging the lift door. He jumped to cling on to the fan that wasnt moving and yanked at it! And it fell off with Raghav falling on the floor with a thud! Ouch he cried. He was hurt but the opening above atleast created some ventilation for them! It was a temporary relief but he knew that they could bear it no longer.
Finally the mechanics and rescue team had come and they managed to open the door from outside however the lift was stuck between the two floors! The building was abuzz with the news of the lift getting stuck and their boss Mr Singhania stuck in it! He yelled to call for an ambulance and he could hear Sammy! Sammy get an ambulance quick Kalpi is not well!
Sammy replied dont worry Raghav everything has been called for just hold on we are trying to open the door. They finally managed it and Raghav draped the dupatta around Kalpi and lifted her in his arms and held her upwards trying to push her through the outlet Sammy and others pulled out Kalpi who was half concious.
Then they pulled out Raghav too! Seeing too many people around Raghav barked, back to work there is no show going on here!
The took them both to the Mobile medical clinic. They were given the first aid and Kalpi and Raghav were made to drink rehydration solutions. Kalpi felt much better and relaxed now.
She looked at Raghav and said chaliye Sir lets go to the office. There is so much work pending! Raghav looked at her as if he was looking at some wierd creature! What? You almost died just a few minutes back n now you want to work? We were stuck in that God Damn elevator for almost 2 hrs!!! I will drop you home you just take rest! I will pick you up tomorrow!
Kalpi was so surprised to see Raghav so angry that she thought it was wise now not to open her mouth and just agree to whatever he said. She tried to suppress a smile and Raghav was wondering why the hell is she smiling? She came closer to him and whispered in his ears Thank you for every thing Sir! You really are very sweet! All his anger went down the drain and the boyish grin was back on his face. Oh that was nothing really Kalpi anything for you... Kalpi giggled and got out of the medical van.
Sammy was waiting outside and he wondered out aloud? Did Raghav tell you a joke that you are giggling? I have never seen anybody smiling and giggling in his company till date!
Kalpi blushed and went towards Raghav's car! Raghav stepped out too and was having that stupid dreamy look on his face which Sammy saw and could not believe his eyes! Sammy laughed and took his moblie to click a snap. Snap! and the clicking sound brought back Raghav to the real world! Hey what was that Sammy? Why did you take my pic? Sammy controlling his laughter nothing will tell you later! Go drop Kalpi to her home she is waiting for you! Raghav gave him a cold stare and then turning his face to a grin he went towards his car! He dropped her home and went to his home from there.
No one who saw them now would ever guess they had been through a life and death situation few hours ago! Because they both were so happy and lost in each others thoughts that they were actually happy about the lift incident that brought them closer!!! Love really has some funny ways thought Raghav!
Wierd Love thought Kalpi, the more we try to chase it away the more it pursues like the waves in the sea that keep coming back to us! She so wanted to scream her lungs out that she was in love! Should I tell baba? Maybe he will be able to help me!
