Part - 6

"Baba I am getting late for the office, where did aai go early in the morning" asked Kalpi. "Beta your aai went to meet Pakhi baby, she called in the morning" replied Vittal. Kalpi's face fell down hearing Vittal's words; though she quickly composed herself it didn't went unnoticed by Vittal. "I don't understand why kamala always ends up hurting my rajkumari" Vittal murmured with irritation. He tried to cheer up Kalpi by drawing her into small talk and eventually she gave in sensing Vittal's efforts to lighten the air.

After a while Kalpi got up to leave as she is getting late for the office and Vittal volunteered to drop her at the office. On their walk to bus stop the duo bumped into Kapoor's car; Kamala got down from the car seeing them. "Kalpi beta I thought you would have left for the office by now, you can't be late to the work on first day itself" said Kamala. Before Kalpi could reply, "what made you to take so much time for reaching home Kamala, my RajKumari was waiting for you from a long time" said Vittal. "Beta why are you waiting for me ?? I kept your dabba ready before leaving home" asked Kamala. "Nothing aai I was waiting to take your blessings before leaving for office, that fine" she said and left to the office wishing bye to her parents.

"Kamala why you always hurt my RajKumari...today was a big day for her and even today you made her feel low" Vittal asked with irritation. "Why are talking like that Vittal, she is my daughter too. Pakhi baby needs me, she wanted to visit temple so I left early in the morning to take her for the darshan" she said. "So hamari Kalpi doesn't need you" Vittal asked coldly. "I made everything for Kalpi before leaving" she said. Vittal looked at his wife with exasperation. Unknown to them a pair of eyes have watched the entire conversation and seeing Kalpi's gloomy face they turned red with anger.

"Oh no, I can't be late on the first day itself, that khadoos will eat me alive", Kalpi hissed with irritation climbing the staircase to 8^th floor. Seeing the huge queue at elevator she decided to walk though she has only couple of minutes in hand. "Quick Kalpi don't give him a chance to irate you" she spoke to herself taking huge strides in the freshly mopped lobby and loses balance. With the fear of hitting the floor she closed her eyes franticly letting out a small scream. " Oh no, don't tell me that you doesn't know to walk properly" Raghav hissed with anger. He was coming out of the elevator and saw her falling; he rushed to hold her from hitting the ground. Feeling a strong rough touch she opened eyes in shock to find Raghav holding her protectively. His face is just inches apart from hers, his breath caressing her face a slight blush crept her chin... She felt goosebumps all over her body with his intense gaze piercing through her body... "Ye Jerk stop scanning me"...her mind yelled at him while she stood agape. Raghav was about to yell at her negligence and stopped seeing her eyes open with shock. A strange feeling crossed his mind seeing shock and surprise in those eyes and couldn't help admire her beautiful eyes. Kalpi quickly composed herself and moved away bringing back Raghav into reality. "What are you up to Ms.Jadhav... Breaking the furniture?? ... Are you making me to pay for hiring you" he spoke sarcastically. "Congrats Kalpi, you started the day with bang, nothing can go worse than this", she murmured to herself and left to her desk mouthing a feeble sorry and thank you.

Kalpi's excitement and enthusiasm to work with the Khadoos is short lived as Snigdha informed her she'll be working closely with Pakhi, as assistant. Though a part of her is happy for not working with Raghav, Kalpi felt humiliated with the turn of events and the thought of assisting Pakhi hurted her more than she thought.

Three weeks have passed in silence and Kalpi is still struggling to adjust with Raghav's mood swings. Raghav was strict disciplinarian in the office and with Kalpi he was extra bit strict and least approachable. She couldn't understand a bit of him; sometimes he is very understanding while the next moment he treats her as trash. Kalpi made peace with Raghav's varying moods yet times his insults are too much to bear. Constant bickering, ranting and taunts have become their way of interaction. However hard she tried to impress him with work, he stayed indifferent towards Kalpi; her hard work showed in her performance...her presentations, analysis and reports are generously appreciated by all the interns, Staff and Sammy. Though Kalpi wasn't a person to take his crap silently Raghav being the boss enjoyed the edge and often Sammy has to step in to handle the situation.

Hmm it was a nice update...I think rags was watching kamla and kalpi convo...lol I just love lhadois rags and jungli Billi kalpi..hahah

really nice update...the flow of the story is very good...let's see what's ur Raghav planning regarding Kalpi,Paakhi n Kamla😛...show mein toh kuch nahi ho raha🥱...
