A Twisted Tale Part 18

Singhania Mansion

When Raghav reached home Sammy was reading newspaper. Raghav sat next to him on sofa.

Sammy: (still eyeing newspaper) you look very happy? Did she give up on killing you anymore (grinning)

Raghav: (in same tone)... may be! Why are you so bothered... is it spoling your plan?

Sammy: (asked in serious tone) Do you really think I would make any such plans?

Raghav: haan bolun ya sach bolun???

Sammy: (smilingly looked at Raghav) tu kabhi nahin sudhrega na.

Raghav: not until you ask me to... Sammy you never complain about my behaviour?

Sammy: I don't have any. We are brothers; I want you to be safe and happy.

Raghav: (getting little emotional) sorry my phone's battry died so couldn't call you..

Sammy: hey it's ok yaar... I was just a little worried... vo prem pe mujhe mujhe bilkul bharosa nahin ...hai

Raghav gave him what are you not telling me kinda look

Sammy's POV: goddd!! I shouldn't have said that... now I have to tell him everything.

Sammy: Look Raghav, I wanted to tell you that before but you were not ready to listen anything about Kalpi..

He took a pause to look at Raghav's reaction.

Raghav: carry on... m listening!

Sammy: you know I get to know through my reliable sources that Prem Kapoor is the man behind all attacks on Kalpi. He is targeting both of you, and that is why I was worried for you and Kalpi.

Raghav: (shockingly) why didn't you tell me this earlier? I would kill him..

Sammy: I tried to but you were busy with ... (hesitatingly) Princess Kapoor!

Raghav: (feeling guilty) Ohhh god Sammy I'm so sorry about that... we need to clear this confusion right now..

Sammy: what confusion????

Raghav: confusion that Pakhi and I are together... there is nothing between us, it was only a misunderstanding! I'm sorry I hurt you but trust me I never mean too.

Sammy: arey don't say sorry. U said na it was a misunderstanding. (hugged Raghav)

Raghav: So are you gonna ask Pakhi out?

Sammy: (disheartened) of course not... & Raghav if u r not with her that doesn't mean she can be with me.

There was a pain in his voice. He was hurt and Raghav could feel that in his eye.

Sammy: Chal m leaving for office.. see u there... bye

Sammy drove off to office but Raghav was still lost in his thoughts.

Raghav's POV: this is my entire fault. I was so busy thinking about myself that I ignored my best friend, my brother... but I promise you Sammy I'll fix this.

Office

Pakhi was so depressed and Kalpi was trying to cheer her up.

Pakhi: Nothing will be fine Kalpi, vo nahin manega.

Kalpi: so that means Pakhi Kapoor is giving up... look Pakhi don't lose heart, keep trying.

Pakhi: I can't, it's so painful.. and I deserve that for hurting Sammy. I don't exist for him, he hates me (with teary eyes)

Kalpi: (consoling her) listen to me... don't presume anything. Trust me, you may be annoying sometimes but he doesn't hate you, he is just angry and hurt. So, just try to convince him, show him how you feel for him.

Pakhi: you seriously think, he would understand.

Kalpi: (confidently) take my words for that... and Pakhi Kapoor I'll help you every way possible.

Pakhi hugged her in excitement.

Pakhi: thank you Kalpi... you are the best J

Kalpi: (freeing herself from her hug) smile now and go do your work, everything will be fine.

After Pakhi left the cabin, Kalpi went to the receptionist to enquire about something. She heard footsteps behind her, she knew it was Raghav. He was coming towards her.

Kalpi's POV: Kalpi chal yahan se, you are not going to talk to him... not right now.

She rushed off to her cabin without turning back. Raghav was shocked. Suddenly he heard a voice saying, "There is something unique and interesting between you both."

Raghav rolled his eyes and turned around to see the man carrying a evil smile on his face.

Raghav: I don't know what you are talking about, Shabad...

Shabad: (sarcastically) I'm sure you don't Raghav... so let me help u... logon ki girlfriend unhe dekh kr ignore karti hain but tumhari girlfriend to tumhe bina dekhe bhi ignore karti hai... (trying not to laugh)

Raghav: (in mock anger) you surely don't want to die before telling us the reason for your untimely arrival Mr Shabad Mahra.

Shabad: (raising his hands in give up action) no way... not now at least...

They both smiled and hugged each other. Kalpi saw Shabad and moved towards him.

Shabad: (to Raghav) I can't say about you, but someone is very happy to see me (looking at Kalpi)

Shabad took a step forward and before Kalpi could think, he hugged her. Raghav turned red in anger. Kalpi was looking at him with what can I do kinda look.

Shabad: (wisphering to her without breaking the hug) Just because tumhara boyfriend yahan hai iska mtlb ye nahin k tum mujhe smile bhi na do.

Kalpi gave him a meek smile and broke the hug. Raghav took him to his office. Kalpi also followed them.

Raghav: So what's the occasion?

Shabad: Shadi!!

Raghav & Kalpi: (surprised) what???? Raghav: You must be kidding, right.

Shabad: No I'm very much serious... I'm getting married...

Kalpi: (excitedly) to whom???

Shabad: you know her Kalpana

Kalpi: (thinking of something) are you serious, you are marrying Natasha!

Shabad: yes, Natasha & i getting married.

Just then Sammy entered the room and saw Shabad. They shared a manly hug.

Sammy: woohooo so you are getting married to the simple primary teacher (teasingly)

Shabad: yeah thanks to Kalpana... she helped me finding my mate.

Raghav: (trying to take the attention) so when are you getting married Shabad???

Shabad: You look very happy with this news Raghav... why... (grinning)

Raghav: why?? can't I be happy for you

Shabad: of course u can, and I'm here to invite you all personally. The wedding is on this Friday.

Pakhi: (said ebtering the room...) this Friday... you mean the Valentines day...???

Shabad: yes miss Kapoor... & I wan't all four of you to come... No excuses (in stern voice)

Raghav: we will come, btw congrats

Shabad: shaadi Panchgani mein hai...

Pakhi: (almost screaming) Panchgani... omg... it's a long time since I have been there... yaad hai Kalpi last time hum sath gaye the... I can't forget that day... hum marte mar,,,

Kalpi didn't let her speak further. Her face went pale hearing that word... all pictures from the past, were running in her mind. She could never forget that day, the day she lost her aai to Pakhi. Raghav was trying to figure out the reason of sad expression on her face.

Kalpi: I'm so happy for you Shabad, we'll definitely come.

Raghav noticed the uncertainty in her voice... Shabad took the leave from everybody. All were happy and excited except Kalpi.
