Hey guys..hope u like this new OS of mine. I swear the CV's stole my idea😆i thought about this before they showed it on TV
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Virat tapped away on his laptop his mind whirling with ideas. It was confusing yet exciting at the same time to have so many concepts in his mind. He had been quite worried whether he had lost the touch due to the break in his writing. But all it took was a dozen old songs and one look at his private source of inspiration and he was all set to create a masterpiece. He took one more look at the most perfect wallpaper ever. It was him and her. 'Picture perfect' he made a note in his mind to photoshop the picture and add the words there. Don't get distracted Virat, he chided himself. He had a song to write. He had written it halfway and gotten stuck. Now for the rest.
"Haarke jeethne ka silsilaa mil gaya
Jannatein mil gayi ya khuda mil gaya.."
Suddenly his laptop slammed shut. He pulled his fingers back just in time and saved it from being crushed by the sudden force. He grinned and looked down at the various patterns on his bed sheet. There was only one person in this house who would even think of doing such a thing and that was his bhai's crazy Saali, his bhabhi's sister..He rolled on his back and looked at her face which didn't look a bit less prettier even from an upside down view.
The sight of her affected him like cool water on a hot summer's day. He felt calm, composed and more sure of his future with her than ever. Her intelligent and sparkling eyes were fixed on him. Her sculpted lips were now stretched in a wide grin. She bounced up and down on the bed. Not a good sigh. His Maanvi had got some crazy plan stuck in her head.
He knew exactly what he should do to calm her down. With a naughty grin on his face he moved his head so that it was now placed on her lap. He gazed at her. Her expression softened. She became still and her expression became..wistful. There was no other word for it. She also looked deep into his eyes and he knew she could see the wistfulness mirrored in his eyes too. They wanted to live, to laugh, to be happy like the other couples. He didn't want to be scared that something would happen to her. She didn't want to be scared whether she would have to leave him. She smiled softly and moved her hand towards his forehead.
He knew that she hasn't had any past romances and that this was the first time that she was ever so close to a guy. He closed his eyes trying to be perfectly still. He was worried whether she would come out of this trance if he moved. Her hands touched his forehead, light as a feather. He felt a shock which was nothing short of electric, run down his spine. She traced his eyebrows and eyes and slowly ran her fingers down his nose. Her movements were slow and deliberate. It was as if she was memorizing his face. She had just touched his lips when suddenly his phone rang. She jerked her hand and away and he opened his eyes his mind already screaming the choiciest swear words.
Maanvi was not exactly a romantic person. He knew that already and she had taken the effort to tell him that herself. She knew that he was a diehard romantic and didn't want to disappoint him with her unromantic ways. He had assured her that it was alright and that he loved her the way she is. And he was telling the truth. He was just satisfied that she finally admitted that she loved him too. Romantic or not was not important for him. But he hadn't expected that Maanvi was capable of being romantic too. There were these seldom moments in which that character of hers came out.
It was Aman who had dared to call him. He was going to strangle him the next time they come face to face. He vaguely remembered a friend of his telling him that Aman had disturbed a rather romantic moment for him too. Ugh!!. He dared to sneak a peek at Maanvi. She was fumbling with his bed sheet her cheeks bright red. Again he remembered that Maanvi was new to this. She bit her lips trying to find an excuse for her actions. He decided to help her and lighten the atmosphere.
"Any reason why you almost crushed my fingers to pulp?"
She beamed at him her eyes blazing with wordless thanks. "Woh..since we are a couple and all I was thinking we should go out for a date"she exclaimed.
"See Virat..Im not a a romantic person.." he said mimicking her voice. "In case you didn't know dates are supposed to be romantic Maanvi."
"Im not talking about the mushy candle light dinner wali stuff partner.i was thinking...maybe the beach"
"Are you crazy Maanvi? You know that Bhabhi is never going to let you go right? And that too with me.." he said, his face twisting into a frown. His Bhabhi didn't trust the unpredictable. No no..You are wrong. She feared not the beach but Virat. His bhabhi did love him a lot. But the problem was that she loved Maanvi more than Virat. Which made her a little apprehensive about leaving Maanvi at Virat's protection
.
"I already convinced her and everybody else, including Dabbu to let me go out with you, now only you are left Viru uncle" she giggled.
From her behavior he could understand that she really wanted to go. She had probably never even gone to a proper beach before. And he had promised her that he would fulfill her wishes. And he planned to, but not without pulling her leg first.
"Beach huh??"he drawled as if he was only thinking about it properly then. "That means a lotta girls. Im in" he said, arranging his face in what seemed like a dreamy expression.
He never expected it to work but it did. She became a bit paler and her lips twisted into a frown. She probably hadn't thought about the countless pretty girls that he might see. If only she knew that they had nothing on her. He promised himself that one of these days he would convince her that no girl in the world meant more to him than her.
"You wouldn't dare chep" she said making a move to strangle him. Then she decided against it and moved back."Get ready fast we have to leave soon" Saying this she slid out of his bed and made her way to the door.
"Ok fine. I wouldn't dare but what if some girl dares to come to me?" he asked.
"Well in that case..Im taking a can of pepper spray with us." she winked at him and left the room leaving him to ponder on the workings of the female mind.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He hurried down the steps whistling and twirling the keys of his jeep. He had reached the last step when he noticed that his Bhabhi was nervously staring at him while wiping a dusty vase.
He smiled at her, trying to tell to tell her that he would always take care of Maanvi. When Jeevika was told by a very nervous Maanvi that she and Virat were in a relationship now she had been apprehensive about it. But only because she felt that his family would blame Maanvi for ruining his life. It was only after his mother and Swamini Bua had convinced her that Bhabhi agreed. He knew that she had nothing against them and that it was just worry that had made her react that way. Now Jeevika smiled at him and gave him a slight nod as if somehow she had understood what he wanted to say.
Suddenly his Toofan express came into the room at top speed. She crossed the room making her way towards him. Just when she had almost reached him she slipped. He quickly moved forward and caught her just in time. He looked up to see his Bhabhi's tear streaked face, frozen in shock, her hand upraised as if to catch Maanvi. Yeh Maanvi bhi na, he thought. There were days when she was like this. Energetic and bubbly. No one could guess that she was suffering from Cancer. And there were also days when she would be too tired to get up from her bed. But what she didn't understand that there was only a line's difference between the two kinds of days. A perfectly fine day could turn into a disaster if she wasn't careful.
He opened his mouth to scold her but before he could utter a word Maanvi snatched his Jeep keys away from him and threw it on the couch. "What the.."he started but she shh-esd him and covered his eyes with her palms. "Walk" she commanded and he followed, smiling to himself as he knew she loved discipline. Never when it came to herself but other's had to follow her orders. As she had said once in his daydream, use ache bache bahut pasand hai. She made him walk forward. Knowing his house he guessed that they were now moving towards the front door.
"Mannu" he heard Jeevika Bhabhi utter faintly. They were moving away from her.
"I know Di..Il be careful and won't get into trouble. Don't worry. Yeh Chep hei na? He will take care of me?"
He didn't hear Jeevika's reply.Suddenly her cool palms left his face and he blinked trying to get used to the sudden glare of light. His eyes adujsted and he saw it. A brand new pulsar 220 bike. Seeing his dumbfounded expression maanvi explained to him that this was her jiju's gift to them. He hadn't ridden a bike since a long time and he couldn't believe that he was going to. And that too with his Maanvi. He stared at the bike in awe.
"Ab chalo Virat..don't tell me your going to change your clothes to compliment the new bike"she said placing her hands on her hips.He laughed in reply and got onto the machine. She followed him keeping her legs on either sides of the bike, and putting her hands on his shoulders
The first half of the ride was pretty boring. He drove slowly worrying whether Maanvi would feel giddy if he dared to drive faster. It was only when Maanvi threatened to jump out of the bike that he decided to increase his speed. He jerked the bike on purpose causing Maanvi's hands to slip from his shoulders. She wrapped them around his waist in alarm. Virat stiffened. Would she move her hands back? She didn't. Instead she tightened them and leaned against him placing her head on his shoulder. Virat's ecstasy was beyond words. He sped up causing her to shout in delight and other's to look at them. Virat didn't care. All he cared about was the girl behind him who was clutching his shoulders in excitement like a 3 year old who had just seen her first balloon.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Both of them sat down on the sand watching the waves crash against the beach. The setting sun provided the perfect ambience. There were less people there than usual thus driving away Maanvi's worry of Virat looking at pretty girls. There were just a few couples who were watching the sunset and some kids who were having fun splashing each other with water. Maanvi had wanted to join them but Virat convinced her to sit down with him. He wanted her to take a break after all the excitement of the bike ride. The air was salty and refreshing and he watched as she relaxed, enjoying the scenic beauty.
"You are jealous of me na Virat? Sach kaho.."she said not taking her eyes of the waves.
"Jealous of you? Y? because you have longer hair than me?"he said trying to break her serene expression but it didn't have any effect on her.
"No..just look at the sea. Its been here for a really long time right?"
"Yeah" he said trying to understand her point.
"The waves have gotten dirty over the years due to various reasons. That is what happens to humans too. The longer you live the more you get polluted. Even if it is not your fault you see things, learn things which are not right. Things which hurt you, torture you and even do wrong things. So obviously it is better to have a short and sweet life and go to heaven. Im sure god is pretty pleased with me." she whispered. She laughed softly and glanced at him. "So your jealous. Im going to heaven while you are on the highway to hell"
He stared at her for some time and said "Yes your right" He tried to control his anger at hearing her talk like this. There was only one way in which he could make her see sense. He looked up at the sky and directed his next words towards god. "Hello god..I know that im a recent addition to your worshippers but I still think that this is unfair. I also know that Maanvi has been talking for you for quite some time while I haven'nt. But please help me. Maanvi and I are partners right? So while you hear one partner's prayers and wishes you must also hear the other's. Maanvi here has convinced me that a long life is not a good one. So can you just take me u.."
Suddenly a hand clamped on his mouth preventing him from completing his words. He didn't give up and tried to continue but the words came out muffled. He gently grabbed her wrist and forced her to move her hand away. He turned around to look at her with narrowed eyes, seething with anger. She was looking at him wide eyes and didn't look any less angrier herself. Her cheeks were bright red and she was breathing heavily.
"Don't even think about saying such stuff again Virat! Don't ever... I won't let..." she said, trying hard not to shout. More than anger, it was fear and desperation which clouded her voice.
"Kyun Maanvi?"he roared. "You were the one who told me that it isn't worth living a long life here right? Then why do you care if I too want to leave this place?"
"Kyunki I love you ok?? And I want you to live and be happy. Because I can't even think of something like that happening to you Virat!"
He remained silent for the next few minutes in an attempt to calm himself down. He tried not to notice the tears which were streaming down her cheeks. It had gotten darker and they were pretty much alone there meaning that nobody had heard their shouting match.
"Good to know..and breaking news: I love you too."
She blinked and didn't answer. She looked down at the sand and seemed to be pondering on things. Good, thought Virat. All he knew was that he never wanted her to talk like that again. After sometime she tapped him and showed him something which caused him to smile and forget his anger. They walked hand in hand towards his bike.
Maanvi had written something on the sand.
"Maanvi and Virat
FOREVER..."
