The Bidaai scene was no doubt beautiful but yeh I expected more from it. Maybe a bit of a longer bye bye scene for the behnas? But then again...it never was a bye for them and there never will be <3

Hey Umz! I'm doing good...just lazing around on a lazy sunday!! 😃 Gulaal I remember getting hooked on to when I randomly came across that scene where Kesuda doesn't hit her back with the stick and hugs her instead. That was more than enough to melt my heart. Such an uinque relationship they shared and for once the 'angst'in an Indian soapwasperfectly justified. It wasn't for 'hawtness' at all...it was due to the deep bondGK shared before and how he felt cheated and betrayed yet still loved her like crazy. There were so much chemistry just on paper and then MP and NB were just beyond amazing!! That show will remain a masterpiece for me.

To be fair, though I am not hooked on to IPK, it is appealing in parts like sometimes the comedy is genuinely funny (ESP Khushi singing what the what the...LMAO) but yeh I'm not attached to the show as such.
Yes please do send me the article :) Will definitely give it a read.

So we don't go off-topic too much...regarding Jeevika-Manvi, once again they are so many relationships all packed in to one. Like Amii often says, they even have that romantic element to their relationship but it all comes down to the purity of their love. They have a long long way to go! TBH I don't even think their real story has started because they themselves don't know that they are mean to stay together and how many hurdles they will have to face because of this strong bond they share.

The shows are coming out with new ideas and different dynamics; their own unique treatment to certain scenes make it worth the watch. I didn't see Gulaal but was definitely hooked to Tere Liye, which ended out of nowhere; it had way more to offer! IPKKND is garnering lot of praises and awards ofcourse, I catch it in parts whenever its being played on tv; not an ardent admirer but it reminds me of the Geet show- both Khushi and Geet are hilarious!

But coming back to our discussion of Jeeman- the Bidaai scene was just too good; like Reemz they can never say full and final bye so whatever we saw was good- but I guess Manvi covered all of that before when she gifts those 13 presents to Jeevika unsure whether she would be there for the Bidaai or not. Great memories! Like I was just telling someone today that Jeeman chemistry (with all angles involved- sisterly, motherly, romantic, divine, ...you name it) can beat any other couple's chemistry (boy & girl) any day!!! I hope that becomes even more evident during the accident and cancer revelation tracks :)

I do sometimes wonder where Jeevika and Manvi's story is going...! Right now it still seems a far way off from it moving in the direction it's meant to.

Not sure...Hmm.

Hi everyone! I am priya. I have been reading many posts in the thread and it is a really nice change to see people appreciating the show for Jeeman. Recently there have been many posts bashing Jeevika and needless to say i am very frustrated. It is like banging your head against a brick wall... Some people just wouldnt understand, would they?
Anyways to a better note, I wrote a topic titled ' Jeevika : Villain or simply a Concerned Mother', which is well basically a post to defend jeevika. ill just cut and paste it here. Please do give your views :)
I think many people have pointed out the fact that no one is perfect. Everyone has their flaws. And so does Jeevika! Right now, i imagine her world is upside down... Yes she is being selfish, she is being overpossesive, she is being KMH (kabab mein haddi) for virman... But look at it from a different angle. Her behna, her mannu, her child is out of the nest now. She has always been sheltered, protected by Jeevika and getting a proposal from a boy is a clear indication that M is growing up. And then the overpossesiveness strikes. Virat may be her devar, but how does Jeevika know he is good for manvi? He wont hurt her, he really loves her, its not a mere infatuation like it was with maya? If you remember, Viren had to gain respect in manvi's eyes as well before she finally accepted him as her jiju. He proved that he loved jeevika and more importantly the care and love for viren from jeevika's side was enought to convince manvi. But manvi is still the child, she looks up to jeevika and if she sees J happy, she's happy. She wont question if jeevika is right or wrong. Jeevika is the elder one. She has a responsibility, she has to check and ensure that what manvi is doing is right. Yes often she does make mistakes, fails sometimes, but that is parvarish. How may times have we complained that our parents dont understand us?
She is the parent, she has to be extra careful with her child. Children make mistakes, they often tread on the wrong path and how does Jeevika know what feelings manvi has for virat? Even manvi does not know that yet! J would have been the first one to encourage and make mannu realise her love for virat had virat proved his worth first! I am not bashing virat, on the contrary i really like his character, however has he really proven his love yet? Love is not just about confessing! Love should have intensity, depth which virat's love for mannu definitely has but has J seen it? Has he ever proven it, there has neither been the situation or the maturity required... Virat has to stand on his own two feet, overcome the pain and sacrifice in love which i hope the cancer track will be succesful in. So I am back to square 1. Even though Virat is J's devar, she knows and likes him, she is not aware of the depth of his love... To her this plan of the VV brothers may hurt manvi and leave her mannu, her child permanently scarred. And she will not let anyone do that, be that her devar or her own husband. Till now, Jeevika's insecurities were being portrayed as comic. We havent seen her ferocious side yet. And the precap is avery good sign according to me for her character to emerge out as a stronger one.
VV brothers had not accounted the feirceness of the Jeeman bond in their plans, yes they had taken in account of manvi's nature and the fact she will never go against jeevika, but they hadnt planned on Jeevika's fierceness, her willingness to take a stand, fight tooth and nail, do anything and everything to ensure her sister does not get hurt or suffer, and most of all they hadnt accounted her turning against them. No one really has seen the wrath of jeevika have they? Well we are going to see it it in hopefully about a months time. , If not wrath, then atleast a heavy emotional outburst. Against cancer, and well against viren and virat as well , and swamini too hopefully in future :)
What do you think about the precap and the upcoming track? Thoughts??

uh oh I have 4 episodes to catch up on 😳 Will watch them tonight! It seems like the episode wasn't bad since they showed the family bonding. There is some sort of direction to the story but it's still unclear, maybe that's why I don't look forward to the show as much anymore?

@ Priya - I will comment on your post later too but probably discuss it more in this thread rather than your actually topic because well...you guys know why lol... I have given up on expecting anything sane from the forum.

@ Reema - Okay well that sucks, I guess if they showed some Virika bonding than that's improvement? I find them boring but then I still want them to have just as much screen time as Virman. Please when is Jeevika getting into that accident? *fingers crossed* by wednesday?

Priya I so wish to comment on your thread, but currently don't have time. I will in a few days, (I'm off for polling day! Yay!) I'll bring it back to life then lol.

Just watched today's episode, a filler episode to be honest, but wasn't too bad. Was waiting for the Jeevika and Maanvi scene from Friday's precap, hopefully that airs tomorrow. However, I did enjoy today's precap, we have always thought the Viren and Jeevika would disagree over Jeevika's protection of Maanvi in regards to her cancer and generally issues (which of course will come in time) but it looks like they will disagree over Virat and Viren's method of enticing Maanvi feelings and using her as a tool.

In actual fact, I don't know where this show is heading. Even though the episode today was not bad, there is a huge focus on the couples than anything else. How the sisters fit into things is the question. In what direction is the show heading off, is it the land of romance between two typical couples or where the sisters are the focus and the couples deal with issues surrounding that.
