I had asked earlier also in this thread. But what to have those questions answered, we have new questions thrown up.

- It's said doodh ka jala lassi ko bhi phook maar kar peeta hai. This Dev D suffered two attempts to murder him. He knew he was being chased and spied at. Still he didn't bother to investigate who did it?

He has been getting harmed ever since he started to dig info on Payal. Shouldn't he have worried for Payal's safety considering he was also being targetted and spied at?

Mera peecha karte karte kahin log Payal tak na pahunch jayen aur usey koi nuksaan na ho. Why didn't he think like that even once?

Why even after suffering attacks himself he is not vigilant enough to look at rear view mirror and see if he's being chased?!😲

- He knows Shaurya's nature! This is why can't digest Durga marrying a boy like him. But he doesn't know his nature when it comes to suspicion on murder attempts or rape case?!

- He suffered two murder attempts within weeks of Shaurya threatening him. Yet no suspicion on Shaurya let alone any action or prevention against him?

- He believes Payal can't lie or slap fake cases. But he doesn't collect proof against Shaurya or his friends. Nor suspects Goenkas despite knowing to what extent Rajnath can go for his reputation. So who is he with? Both accuser and the accused are right or "not wrong" for him?

- He cannot snoop on Shaurya maybe due to senior Goenkas or mummy's EB. But he cannot even go after Shaurya's friends? He can keep hounding a girl (Durga) but no guts to go after males?

- He finds inconsistencies in Durga's behaviour. Where is his observation when Goenkas obviously behave in a fishy way in front of him?

- He felt Gautam and his wife were so threatened that they should leave the city. But hypocrite took Payal's safety for granted? And wanted to take her out without Durga's permission and despite all warnings?

His own friend needs to be packed off to safety. A friend who was not even directly attacked. But Payal's house needs to be made a thoroughfare despite her and her family being ravaged completely! 😡

What explains these sheer double standards? 🤬

- Why did he never try to go after witnesses of Payal rape case? He was too scared to go after Shaurya or his friends. But no guts to even check witnesses? 🤢

Furthermore why doesn't he suspect foul play by Goenkas after seeing fakeness of witnesses exposed in public?

- What does he want?! Nitya? Justice for Payal? Well being of Durga? What?

- Where is his true love if he has started having feelings for Durga? (We know she is Nitya. But he doesn't. So why hots for a new woman?)

- Dev babu can believe something that has no proof - Nitya being alive. But he cannot believe or pay attention to obvious things before his eyes?

- Dev babu didn't want to discuss rape case openly. But can leave his room, drawers open and openly keep out files related to Payal, keep laptop also open? Are there more chances of someone barging into his room or more chances of being overheard at a mall? Why careful so selectively?

- He played along when Doc called him Shoumik. But couldn't write a bogus mobile number?

Why was he okay being called Shoumik? Why didn't he smell anything fishy in doc's crazy behaviour?

LAST but very pertinent question - Does he have a brain? Did he leave brain in US? Or he still has a brain but it is only partially working and defective/low battery?

Dev D has no answers. Just keeps throwing up more and more frustrating questions with his ultra idiotic behaviour!

I have only one answer Anu. He is APD😆😆😆. Because he displays all the characteristics of APD.

Let me tell you the general chara of APD

- Have only one thing in mind- their obsession what ever that is. in Dev's case it is Nithya

- Things click only if it is related to their obsession- In Dev's case Nithya, Nithya's diary, Payal connected with nithya

- Nothing going around matters to them. They are in their own world I mean with their obsession- In Dev's case always with Nithya, Singing, dancing , romancing with Nithya

- Eyes see only one thing and ears hear only one thing- Dev's case only Nithya is seen and Nithya is heard

So is a there a cure to this problem. Yes there is. Actually APD is a addiction like condition and what is the way to take away addiction.

The object of addiction needs to be made unavailable. Yes it will be terrible in the beginning, but slowly people get used to it.

So in Dev's case for his APD to go there is only one way. He need to know Nithya will never come back to him. Let him realize that. Other answer will follow.

If Dev has to be so dumb, why did the CVs bring his character in. I mean he was not shown as someone same like Kangana's character who only sees straight.

He came with all doubts in his mind, sets right Nithya's house and confronts Shourya and uses his friend's influence to get the case papers of Payal.

But then what. His feelings for Durga has changed in week's time. He only felt that Durga doesnt look happy with engagement with Neil. But he did not feel any kind of love for her then. But how come he feels for her now after her marriage arrangement with Shourya. He could only felt that Durga cannot trust Shourya when she is so protective of Payal. But he cannot develop feelings for Durga just because she is engaged to Shourya.

But past is past. What is Dev going to do next. Now that Payal's mental condition be worsened. would Dev even get to know about that or would be trying some other means of finding Nitya.

And keep wondering why Durga is getting married to Shourya?

If Dev truly loves Nithya, he should want to be in Nithya's place and take care of Nithya's sister and find out about the case and about who harmed her. And in this case, Payal is not some unknown stranger for him... all the fbs show that he was a close friend of Payal as well. But here, Dev seems to be obsessed with Nithya and her locket, diary, etc... I don't see any love but plain obsession.
