I guess she was with Dev in US.

She was not in the city during the case. On one hand, she really trusts that Shaurya is someone who would never rape and that the other Goenkas are really good. On the other hand, she has never been able to really believe that Payal would accuse someone like this falsely.

She is EBed by Rajnath and Sakshi easily and more so by using her deceased husband's name as shown in today's episode. Rajnath has taken care of her and her son after her husband died so she is also inclined to believe him out of indebtedness.

I am not convinced that Suchitra Goenka is evil.
I think she is too naive, trusting and in debt of Sakshi and Rajnath.
Clearly, she is not ambitious, competitive or ruthless like her SIL and BIL.
I suspect that she knows more about the evil pair than she lets on.
Sometimes the mind's eye does not see what it does not wish to see.
She is a solitary figure, living in her own world, very removed from the rest of the household. She is very vulnerable to harm from the rest of the Goenkas. She needs to remain passive and out of their radar in order to survive. Her staying out of the Goenkas' path is a survival strategy for her. Only some one who is single minded and strong willed like the Goenkas can take them on. So it is a good strategy for her to lie low.
I would be very interested to see how Suchitra responds to the events as they unfold- especially when Shaurya' crime is brought under the spotlight once again but with strong supporting evidence this time.

Who ever tires to mess with the Goenka's ... They make their life worst then hell. o maybe she didn't just jump into the issue because of fear. She already has no husband. And she was alone. What would have that poor lady done.

In yesterday's epi it was shown that she can be easily blackmailed taking her husband's name. It was that EB that made her stop Dev in US.
