Welcome to Ek Hasina Thi Forum. We sincerely hope you have a great time here. We take this opportunity share the rules and regulations developed specifically for this section with all our members to ensure a peaceful atmosphere.

General rules

Introduce Yourself - As more & more members will be joining EHT Forum, please avoid posting "New Topics" for your introduction ex "Hey i'm new" "Hi" "New" etc. Instead please post your introduction in introduction post. Any separate topic opened will be closed/trashed.

Archive mansion/Help desk - Please check the Archives, it will contains all important information/links for EHT Forum. For example - links like the Creation Gallery, Picture Gallery, Help Desk, past DOTW, past COTW, VM's, Video Clippings, Promos, Songs, FF's and so on.

If you have any Question / Query / Suggestion, please use The Help Desk Thread instead of opening separate topics asking for help. Members are also requested to check out the Help Desk and see if they can help others. Any help topics posted separately in the forum that should have been posted in the helpdesk thread will either be closed or moved by the Dev. Team to the helpdesk thread, so check there for the answers to your queries.

New Topics - Before posting a New Topic, please check the first 4-5 pages to see if there is a topic on the similar subject. If there is one then please continue the discussion in that topic. Do not open one just so you can get likes or if you're just changing few words. Please DO NOT turn the forum into a Fan Club of a particular jodi / character, try to post variety of topics.

Posting Articles - Before Posting an Article, Please check the first 4-5 Pages to see if there is the same article already posted. Do try and provide the source link of the article. Articles from "tellychakkar" are not permitted on IF and such articles will be trashed by the Dev. Team.

While posting articles from TellyBuzz, only give the link to the article. Do Not copy and paste the entire article here.

No CAPS - Please refrain from using all CAPITAL letters as it is considered to be the equivalent of shouting on the internet! In order to stress a word or a couple of words that can be written in Capitals or in Bold, but please DO NOT write the whole post in Capitals or Bold or large font size.

No Update Requests - Please be patient for the updates as the member who signed up for that particular day might be caught up in something. DO NOT open topics asking for updates, they will be posted as soon as available.

If you are not assigned to do the updates then please do not post updates. This is not fair as the updater spends time in doing the update and when they come to the forum they find it already done and posted, it puts the updaters work to waste. The schedule of Updaters can be found in the archives along with updates or each month.

Picture Gallery -Please Check the Picture Gallery before posting any pictures as they may have been posted before. Also remember that Picture Gallery is a No Comment Section so refrain from posting comments in there. Comments will be trashed from there!

Fan creations/Video mix/Fan fictions: Please use the creation gallery to post your creations and do not open a separate thread for that purpose. Please avoid quoting creation as it slows down the pages and do not chat there. We will not, under any circumstances accept morphed pictures and creations. check the link for furthermore details: Imp - Regarding to merging/ morphing

You can however, have your own video gallery where you update your video mix from time to time.

Fan fictions and one shot can be posted in the forum. Please check the rules about adult content.**Adult contents and the mention of rape in FF**

PS! Avatar/Signature/Fan fiction/Videomix/One shots including pictures, drawings and/or graphics that are sexually-orientated, vulgar, obscene, hateful, racist or encourages conduct that would constitute a criminal offense or anything that would be considered non-family, will NOT be TOLERATED! The maker will be warned and the content will be removed by the DT!

Organizing Contest/Activities/Games: Any sort of contests and activity threads cannot be opened without receiving prior permission from moderators. Do PM the moderators for permissions.

Appreciation threads: We have allowed appreciation threads to discuss about the respective actors/couples. NO AT can be started without the moderator's permission. AT has separate rules which AT admins will be PMed once the permission is given.


Moderation:

No Bashing: India-forums.com Code of Conduct strictly forbids members from bashing fellow members, DT members and celebrities. This includes the use of foul language, as well as any personal remarks, i.e. how the actor looks like, as they have no control over it! We welcome members to share their constructive criticism on the absurdity of the series's story line and character, as well as to discuss the actor's talents, however, please refrain from engaging in any kind of bashing, which may have severe consequences

What some of you are doing is breaking the COC.

Personal attack - Each and everyone are entitled to having their own point of view, likes and dislikes. Differences in opinions are bound to exist in a forum like India-forums.com. However, this does not permit one to attack their fellow members for not sharing the same point of view. Let us respect our fellow members and refrain from making any provocative statements, which may only lead to unnecessary quarrels.

Members come here to relax and unwind. Quoting some one's post and making a harsh comment begets displeasure. You have no right to post any abusive, derogatory, insulting or sarcastic comments which is enough to hurt the sentiments of your fellow member. All these fictions are not worth hurting a fellow IF ian. Please do remember this.

No Moral Policing Please refrain from engaging in any moral policing around the EHT forum. If you find anyone breaching rules, please Report the topic and or contact the section DT . The section DTs will deal with the issue at the earliest possible.

India Forums is a platform to allow everyone to express their opinions freely within the COC and respectable limitations. Members have the freedom to express their own perspective, which may disagree and or contradict someone else's point of view. Everyone is welcome to express their opinions within the EHT rules and IF COC. Hence moral policing will NOT be tolerated.

Character Bashing/Real vs Reel:Everyone has a favorite character and some people prefer unpopular characters due to the actor playing such characters. And for them its incredibly offensive to see bashing of such character to the extreme. The act of depicting a character in a negative light for the purposes of blatantly showing fans and viewers how bad or terrible the character is but not to restore filthy or abusive words. Filthy language and cheap words leaves a bad taste in people's mouths and creates unpleasant environment for the members and fans. We have NOT asked anyone to worship the negative characters or praise them. All of you are more than welcome to criticize the character and use words to express your feeling without crossing the line between criticism and bashing. You can criticize the character in the context of the storyline. Its a big difference between saying "XYZ is cheap" and " I think XYZs act are cheap because...". The last one is more friendly than the first one so a little effort goes a long way!


Real/Reel: Members at times cross the line between real and reel by going personal on the actor who plays the negative role and also the fan groups who likes the characters. Note, real does NOT equal reel. So if your character bashing entails bashing anyone who likes the character ("XYZ fans are stupid, hypocrites", "XYZ phankies are blind worshipers") , that will not be accepted or tolerated!


Adult content- Adult content, either in pictures or words is STRICTLY NOT ALLOWED on IF. The DT does not want to restrict the creativity of the members but even creativity has limits for an open forum in a family-friendly site. If the scene is described graphically with body parts described and named along with explanation of what's going on between the characters at that moment, you'll be warned and the content will need to be removed. After all, this is the Internet and you always need to be careful of what you post here! For further info, please check the FF forum rules!

Plagiarism - Posting someone else's work as your own and taking credit for any creation (written or graphic or any layout for posts) that isn't yours will NOT be tolerated at all. Plagiarism is a serious offense and will be treated as such. Anyone found to be taking someone else's work and passing it off as their own will receive an immediate warning level raise. If you want to use someones layout for anniversary, birthday, NL etc then please seek permission and give credit.

Personal lives & Non EHT Topics - This section is only intended for the discussion of the show EHT topics related to it. Any topics or posts about the personal lives of the actors or makers outside the show will NOT be allowed unless it has a clear and direct relationship to the show. Any topics or posts judging or commenting on the personal life of the people who play the characters will not be allowed. While certain issues are related to EHT, if you want to discuss issues like morality, censorship, marriage and relationships on a broader scope beyond the limitations of the show please take it to other appropriate discussion sections.

No Chatting/Spamming/Quoting - Please DO NOT chat or spam in the forum. Do not start chatting in topics as they have been posted for discussions purposes. Please try to stick to the topic when replying and do not go off topic.

• Spamming: Please discuss the topic or responses in the topic related to the topic. Non topic chatting makes the threads look unimpressive and also the continuity of the discussion gets lost. If you want to chat then please visit the Chat Clubs Section. Posting comments like "TFS" "Thanks", etc. is considered as spamming. Kindly use the button instead. Do not type a message or post reply full of emoticons only. That is considered as spamming and that post will be trashed. Also refrain from posting just Hello's and Good Byes.

• NO COMMENT - Please DO NOT post comments in Topics labeled as "NO COMMENTS". They will be trashed by the Dev. Team, and you will be sent a Warning PM.

• Quoting - Please refrain from quoting long posts and/or multiple posts at once, as it lengthens the posts and may also alter the codes, making it difficult for the readers. If you wish to reply to a post by someone else, simply quote the member's post and delete the parts other than the ones you wish to address. You may also use @ followed by the member's name (for example: @Username: your point)

Comparison Topics/Instigating posts:There is a lot of comparison posts on the forum as of late so we would like to point out what is allowed and what isn't. Comparison to do with episodes or the track itself is allowed, for example if there are two dance off on the episode if someone makes a posts stating which of the dances they liked best and why, this discussion will be allowed. But general posts which states who is the better dancer, who has the most fan following, which couple look better, who is more supportive etc are not allowed as these are more general and would ultimately lead to arguments. But whilst making such a topic the member has to be sure that their posts is without malice or bias and would enable all parties to out their case forward, but whilst doing that another character is not put down to make your point.


Counter-Posting: Refrain from making counter posts on the forum, for example if you see a post which you feel you do not agree with in believe to be insulting/instigatory or abusive, DO NOT then go an create another topic in relation to it counter arguing the post maker, this only leads to further disrests and more arguments breaking out in the forum. If you come across any posts which you believe are not in accordance with the EHT COC just REPORT and let the moderators of the section handle the situation.

Past Shows, Productions and Comparisons: No discussion on past shows that the actors and actress of this show have been in can be discussed. Furthermore, NO COMPARISONS will be tolerated in regards to comparing shows that the production house has produced. All such thread in regards to the above will be closed or trashed!


Editing Titles: When a title has been amended by a Dev Team or a note has been put into a members posts, please refrain from editing such posts, this will be seen as going against the code of conduct and the members will be reprimanded.

No Advertising - Advertising other websites/ forums/ blogs is strictly prohibited on India-forums.com. Such topics will be trashed and a Warning PM will be sent to you right away. If you choose to ignore the warning, your Warning Level will be raised or you can get banned right away.

External Content Discussion: Please do not bring in issues from Twitter/Facebook and other social networking sites to IF. This refers to bringing in member discussions from other sites, that are not actual updates of the actors/CVs/channels themselves, and discussing them on IF, and creating issues here. Any such topics will be closed. Please refer here for further clarifications: External Content from Social Networking Sites

Multiple ID's- India-forums.com Code of Conduct strictly prohibits members from having multiple IDs. Please refrain from making MIDs, especially to bash celebrities, characters, DT members and/ or member. If ever convicted with having MIDs, all except the most active ID will be inactivated, followed by a raise in W/L to the active ID.

Sharing Personal Information: Do not share your personal information with others on the net. If you are sharing any information with an unknown person you are doing that at your own risk. The conversation that takes place in private messages, face book, messenger, twitter etc, between two people is between them and not to be shared in the open forum.

Additionally, Privacy and safety of members is of the prime importance in IF. If anyone is found sharing members private and personal content from other social networking site on IF, they will be held responsible for breaching privacy and should be prepared for the consequences.

Reporting an Issue: Please do not report the same post more than once. Member reporting the same post multiple times will receive PM warning and if it continues there will be raise in Warning Level too. This rule certainly does not intend to discourage the members from reporting but often same post is reported multiple times from the same member. Please do understand that DT needs at least 24 hrs to work on the reported post and simply pressing the report button multiple times will only delay the process. Some situations demand the time and consultation of people and hence take time to get back.

Report Button/DTs response time to reports and PM:- If you see anything inappropriate on the forum then please do not take matter in your hands and let the Dev. Team handle it. Please use the REPORT button on the right hand side of the post. If you find anything inappropriate in any thread / post please DO NOT retaliate or argue or start a fight. Make use of the 'REPORT' button and let us know. We are here to solve the issues, please allow us do so.

Please keep in mind that the Moderators are also members like yourself. We would also want to have the time to make posts like yourself and discuss with our friends; and we also have a personal life. Meaning, we cannot be around to babysit the forum 24/7. Please allow a reasonable time frame of 48 hours before creating a hullabaloo and/or escalating the matter to the CMs/GMs. We try to address issues and respond to PMs and Reports as soon as we can get to them, but we request you to grant us some leverage as well. Instead of mass PMing it would appreciated if one person PM's the concerned DT with regards to the issue.
