Chapter - 4

Tic! Tic! Tic Tic Tic!! Tic Tic Tic!!

Shravan and Suman woke up with a jolt. Good morning smiled Shravan pecking her forehead as she smiles back. "What time is it Shravan"? It's 5:30, I turned on the alarm just in case I doze off. Let's go I'll drop you home, said Shravan still staring her intently, as he still cant believe his Sumo is with him.

How can I? If you don't let go of me. Shravan smiles and loosens his grip on her. Sumo gets up slowly and gives him a hand as he had been stiffed sitting in the same position holding her the whole time. She pulls him hard to make him stand, he decides to play with her and asks her to pull harder and when she does he pretends to fall on her and hugs her tight.

"I love you". "I love you too".

Shravan...I have to go? "I know, but can't I hug you once?" , this is all I ever wanted, to wake up with you every morning. "Me too, but we need to leave before anyone wakes up."

Sumo tries to leave but he holds her wrist and stops her, wait here..., he turns around and picks up the maang teeka and puts it on her forehead and places a kiss on it. Someone might question you if they see your blood filled forehead, he winks. Thank you Shravan says Sumo hugging him again.

I can't find my phone Shravan, she says as she was looking in the living room. It was here last night, can you ring on it? "Someone might have put it safe, I'll get it later". Ok that's fine.

What are you thinking about??? Sumo asked as he was in deep thoughts driving her home. Sumo why did you come in the basement last night, did anyone tell you to? And where was Aditya back then?

"I saw you hurt yourself, tried telling Kamini Chachi about it but she was talking to Aditya, then the power turned off and Aditya went to check what happened. Vandy Bhabhi gave me a candle for you, I thought this would be the last time I can do anything for you, so I took the first aid box and came in. Shravan had a painful smile thinking how close was he to lose her forever.

Shravan can I tell you something? Hmmm... "Please don't ask anymore questions, I won't be able to answer". He understood she was talking about his dad. Ok, I won't said Shravan determined to get to the bottom of this by himself.

"I thought you were dropping me home" she asks confused as Shravan takes a different turn. Our first official date, let's have tea at Tom uncle's stall. She smiles.

"Ruko"!!! I'll open the door for you says Shravan as she was about to get off the car.

She comes out of the car thinking how much he cares about her.

"So now we are officially together ", but for me I was always dating you, the time that we spent together was very special to me, something that I always look forward to", he said taking the first sip.

"Me too"... Smiles Suman. "You know last time we were having tea here, when the Googlu picture fiasco happened, I thought you would confess that you love me but you friend zoned me".

"At that time your being your friend again was very important to me, I was in denial about my feelings for you, and didn't want to lose your friendship. I thought you would not be comfortable". We wasted so much time Sumo, I cannot take that chance anymore, I'll talk to Nanaji today".

Ok then I'll change and get something for you to eat. Stay Sumo!! Mere liye. "I'm always with you Shravan, but I need to go check downstairs, I didn't come home last night, wonder how will everyone react". You go freshen up I'll get something to eat. Sumo runs to her room to change when she looks herself in the mirror, she takes her maang tika off to see her hairline filled with blood. I'm yours Shravan and I cannot stay away from you now, she thinks and blushes before rushing to the bathroom. She quickly gets ready and goes to make breakfast.

"Preeti kaisi hai Suman, tum mili usse aaj"? Suman was confused, "woh mamiji bas raat ko hi mili thi", "koi baat nahi, woh to acha hua ke Vandy ne bata diya ke tum subah aaogi warna Babuji to baar baar pooch rahe the ke tum aayi ya nahi". Suman is surprised.

Kamini finds the basement door open and is very curious as to where Shravan and Suman are. She asks Ramu kaka if he have seen Shravan, and he tells her that Shravan asked for food at 4 am. Kamini smirks thinking she had succeeded in her plan.

Suman makes breakfast and quickly rushes upstairs, she finds Shravan in deep thoughts. Are you Ok Shravan?

He just nods.

Have breakfast, Nanu will wake up soon, he has sedatives in his medication.

I don't want to eat right now. "You have to, we have another wedding to plan", she winks.

This makes him smile. Sumo will you always be with me? he questions quietly.

Of course I will. Now eat, if not I'll change my mind, this makes him furious, don't you dare think about leaving me, I will be finished Su... She puts her hand on his lips to make him stop. "I'm sorry I will never say that again not even for fun". Please forgive me.

Suman, tujhe Kya kehna hai?

Nanu Mujhe Shravan pasand hai Aditya nahi.

Mujhe maaf karde Suman, meri zid ki wajah se tujhe shaadi ke liye haan karni padi.

Nanu please aap maafi mat maangiye. Jaldi naashta karke davaai le lijiye.

Haan par Mujhe Aditya ki maa se us rishte ke liye mana karna hai

Shravan gets restless at the thought of his mom being Aditya's mom. Mujhe pata hai ke woh Nirmala Ahuja ka beta hai, says Shravan with a sad smirk.

Nanu please let's not inform anyone about me and Shravan, and just cancel the wedding. Let Aditya and Nirmala Aunty leave then we will discuss our wedding. Ok Suman, smiles Nanu. I'm happy for you both, this never crossed my mind that both of you might love each other.

Ramnath woke up with happy and content smile, today finally Suman will be out of Shravan's life, he thought. He quickly got ready and went to Shravan's room, and called him when he didn't find him there.

Yes Papa, said Shravan

Where are you beta? I thought we would have breakfast before you leave.

Sorry Papa, something important has come up so I postponed my flight, I will leave next week.

What happened?? Now Nanu has agreed to our relation, why are you so quite?

I don't know Sumo, I don't feel like talking.

Ok then you sit quietly here and I'll be right back, she gets up only to get pulled right back to him. I told you not to talk about leaving me. Just stay with me.

I'm just leaving the room to get coffee. Not even the room, he insists. She knew he was just scared about the truth of his Dad getting revealed. He was running from it. They sat together in quite for little while

Shravan please sleep at least for an hour you'll feel better. No Sumo I need to go to office for little while, I'll have coffee now". "Ok"

Just then Aditya comes in and sees Suman in the kitchen, Suman your phone, says Aditya to which she turns around.

"Hi, and Thank you". Aditya is surprised to see that she's wearing the same pendant that Shravan had yesterday. This makes him more furious.

When did you come back Suman? And with whom? he asks

Where were you last night?

Aditya woh actually main... Woh Kya Suman, he tried to hold her hand but was stopped by another.

Don't you dare touch Sumo again, said Shravan standing in between Suman and Aditya.

And why is that I can't touch my would be wife asked Aditya knowing the answer very well.

"She is not". Sumo was always mine and will always be mine. This wedding is off.

I'm sorry Aditya, I can't marry you said Suman.

Just then Nirmala enters and freeze seeing Shravan. "Maa aap".

"Kya hua hai", she asks. "Aap ke bete ki shaadi toot gayi hai, aur ab aap apne is bete ko lekar chale jayiye aur wapas kabhi hamari zindagi mat aana".

Shravan!!!! Screamed Aditya.

"How dare you talk to my mom like that". Nirmala started crying.

Just shut up and leave "I don't want to see her face".

He has the right to be upset at her said Suman, apparently more than the right you have on her. He is a part of her.

"Hey it's Ok. I always felt a strange connection between you too and last night when I saw your pics with him in your phone, I knew it. But my mom is Shravan's mom that one who he hates so much, didn't know anything about it".

It's very complicated Aditya, but I'm sure when Shravan gets to know the truth everything will be fine.

Ok then I'll meet Nanaji before I leave too. All the best.

Shravan was restless in the office. Seeing her as Aditya's mom brought back all the painful memories he had. Suman tried calling him but he didn't pickup.

Thank God you are here Shravan sir, said Rakeshji, I needed the Mulchandani case file for the deposition tomorrow.

I gave it to Dad after referring a few changes, let me check if it's in his cabin, replied Shravan.

Here you go Rakeshji. But as Shravan got the file out he found a blank check with Suman's name on it. Any problem sir , he asked.

Shravan was pacing around in his cabin with the check, constantly running his fingers through his hair in frustration. He was checking the date again and again, it was when Pushkar's wedding was fixed and after he had confessed to his Dad that he loves Sumo.

Suman was worried for Shravan, she decided to go see him, she picked up a box and was leaving out as Mamiji and others came with Preeti.

Where are you leaving Di??

I'll be back soon, did Shravan come home?

No. I didn't see him, said Preeti.

Ok listen, I cancelled my wedding with Aditya, sambhal lena said Suman before rushing out of the door.

Pushkar what are you doing here?? asked Shravan. You got married just yesterday.

I know Bhaiya but Preeti went to her mom's home for Pagh phere. I'll pick her up in the evening. But I'm happy that you didn't leave. Any special reason winked Pushkar.

Bhaiya I really need your help in Mulchandani's deposition tomorrow, can you please come to my office once and check all the claims we are defending. Sure chote lets go.

Suman smiles entering his cabin, she goes to the other side and holds his chair thinking about him, just then his office phone rings, she hesitantly pick it up.

Suman!!! She turns around and drops the phone. What are you doing here"...

My wish for shraman to bring them together is playing here😃. Kamini of your version is really intelligent. She did great job. They are together and shravan started to doubt. He has got the blank checque as well.

Wish the love story could have actually unfolded this way. ..it's beautiful...Shravan and Sumo together...nothing is more blissful...Am waiting for Ramu to pay for his deeds.
