Hi Malika,
It's nice to see you again after BV forum here. I am not much in forums these days but the closure of this show and most importantly the way it's shutting down wrt storyline is something I felt like expressing. I have been following edkv from the very 1st epi. Found it so refreshing! Nikita got me hooked to this show. Her personality and her portrayal as Suman, her confidence ! I don't know when shravan happened to overtake Suman in my liking. I guess his deep rooted love for Suman which could almost be read in his eyes all the time until of course the Aditya track. I am simply amazed at how namik nails the scenes!!
I somehow stopped connecting to Suman on emotional level.( remember BV days how we were connected to anandi and her pain more than anything else... So yes we r totally feminists) . When the show started Suman was absolutely independent as well as self respecting girl. But I guess the self respect chant was a put off since nirmala's entry. The dal track started to bring down suman's connect with me. There were in between a little glimpses of the old Suman that I liked but really could never bounce back like original.
Anyway, shravan... One heck of a well written character. Well written and even better performed! It's sad how his character too like you mentioned in your post is brought down to this level that all the pain and scars from his childhood which changed his life are now a joke. We thought that Suman and shravan bring ek duje ke vaste is what will bring shravan out from his low esteem and bring Suman out of always compromising for her family coz that's what we were promised when the show started. But it never happened!
I really don't know how they managed to ruin this beautiful tale but anyways good luck to namik and Nikita. Wish their chemistry was utilized. Btw, for the first time I noticed that any lead pair with this kind of amazing chemistry was wasted in such a way. I don't know if I can even hope for season 2. But if miraculously it does happen with namik and Nikita then that's one thing writers need to absolutely work on.
