That was where it all started...Rubik cube...Young Sumo challenged Shravan to complete the puzzle of the cube in one and a half minutes and Shravan did it ...throwing a challenge to her...that he will wait for her to show off her mettle in solving that cube...Ten years passed, yet Sumo never managed or rather, I would like to believe, she never tried to solve it ...Because the cube awaited the return of its original puzzle solver..Shravan...
And the wait was worth it...because, Shravan did return and it was this cube which initiated the opening of the pages of history...Daboo's innocent query are you Suman didi' s Shravan? The answer was in the negative...But, as Rudyard Kipling once said...Lying is the greatest of Truth...and thats what it was...
Khosla case, again that cube made its appearance...and again, Shravan chose Sumo over his family...Sumo ka Shravan..
When the first PCT drama happened, they had a fallout, Daboo spoke to Shravan over telelphone...regarding the solving of the cube...and he explained...not simply because he wanted to resolve the child's confusion but, because he wanted to hear Sumo's voice...feel her presence...
And as Lalaji once said to him...this cube is a part of you ...so, shall this journey of their marriage announce..how Sumo is part of Shravan...Suman didi ka Shravan
The cube is not simply a prop but, a manifestation of their love which seemingly has to bear many odds and conflicts but, solved it shall be...😳

👏

🤗 Thank U.

Shravan could not, despite repeated attempts, solve the puzzle that had always come so easily to him. I was waiting to see when it made its way back into the story, and here it is... Thank You Dabboo... You are such a sweetheart... For that and the line about "Suman didi wale Shravan", you deserve an extra scoop of ice cream 😃.

I hope this is a hint that Shravan will soon start solving the cube (his life's puzzle) again, and start his journey toward rediscovering the Sumo ka Shravan...
Good feels 😆
Naacho saare jee phadke...

PS: At least the cube did not suffer the same fate as the memory box!

😆 Memory box!

The cube will lead him to the memory box! 😉

Wow, Ansu! Indeed, those were the times he struggled with the cube...
And also yesterday...he finally seemed at peace.

Not because he got what he wanted...at least there would be no more battles! 👍🏼

Soup, I told you Daboo is the most sorted char in the show. 😆

He shows up when needed and puts people in their places and finds a way to have fun while at it too. Love that kid. He is a natural.

This scene and Sumo's monologue bg gives me positive vibes.

EDKV delivers when it matters!! Bas bol diya!!

If we leave aside for a moment of how this came to pass, the marriage announcement and post celebration scene by the family was an absolutely fantastic piece of writing. Hats off to the writers for this great job!!

To be able to narrate in a couple of scenes the intention of a track in as subtle a manner as possible...I am speechless. Again I quote Emily Dickenson

Hope' is the thing with feathers

that perches in the soul

and sings the tunes without words

and never stops at all

Yesterday, it was a day to remember her for her quotes on Love

Shravan comes and does his duty. Mausaji exhorts them to feed each other with sweets such that it will spread sweetness in their lives. Shravan is forced to feed a sweet to Sumo who partakes in the offering a little bewildered yet welcoming of whatever this brings for her. When Sumo is asked to feed him, Shravan resists it ; that has been his nature, being circumspect always, not believing that the sweetness of life was meant for him. Sumo is asked to feed Shravan again, there is pressure to accept and acceptance is not easy for him. However, he is gently reminded that this is like a rite of passage. Yet he does not take it from Sumo. A man as deeply conflicted in his beliefs in life as Shravan is, must take the first step for having clarity in his life. His resistance showed that he wont value it until he gets it himself. That is the voyage of discovery he must embark on. He will have the opportunity to reflect on his actions and gain insights about himself and the one he claims to have loved deeply.

There was a beautiful thing that Nanaji said to Ram the other day, that the very time that forces them to stay apart can also chide them for their childishness and get them to appreciate the love they feel for each other. He used the word "Nadaaniyan"...well who does nadaani?...children.

Little Daboo making that appearance was a masterstoke by the CVs to hark back to the situation that Shravan and Sumo met for the first time after a gap of 10 years and then the use of the rubik cube was again an even greater masterpiece of writing on display to take us back to the genesis of their relationship. Try as they might, these two cannot ignore what they have shared. Daboo calling him out on his lie was a gentle reminder to Shravan of who he is and how his conscious identity has been shaped by this girl he has lived all his adult life for. His bond which is now getting formalised with the person whom he said he did not belong to in his first meeting. He was lying then and he is lying now. His ignoring of this identity as Sumo's Shravan when he first met her at TK and now when he is to be married to her therefore is as good as a lie which Daboo called him out for.

The interesting thing about this scene; the situation back then and today similar yet not the same. These two have traversed some distance, some steps forward and many steps backward too. So, the young Daboo brings the rubik cube to Shravan to help him solve the cube, again the significance of the cube in their relationship not lost on us. Shravan is not immediately ready as his current state is in a state of constant denial. Yet there is the promise that he will help solve it some other time. This is a game he plays well. When his cobwebs clear, this game will come to the fore as he cannot lose this game.

A special doffing the hat for that scene..CVs...great piece of writing.

One of Emily's famous poems that sits pretty on Sumo...

"That I did always love

I bring thee Proof

That till I loved

I never lived_enough

That I shall love alway

I argue thee

That love is life

And Life hath Immortality

This dost thou doubt

Then I have nothing to show

But Calvary

Lovely post Chick...I am yet to finish my other post on your thread...the one I lost...the fairytale one...will try to post it today

Thank U for this absolute classic piece of analysis, Rekha! 🤗

Who can add anything more to this! I can't describe how exhilarating this piece was...😳

Thank U for the mention of Nanu's dialogue on Nadaniyan.

I watched Thursday's episode and went back and watched Wednesday's...

Shravan becomes so very clear now...The way he was looking at Suman while they went for the sweets and Daboo ran for the cube- He is searching...Still searching for some signs from her. Those are pure unadulterated moments when he cannot judge her! ❤️

And that last conversation...That sounded like two mature adults talking finally...even if that is not what Suman had in mind when she went to visit him the previous night!

But she is not complaining...

That poem dedicated to Suman...They must have written her based on that! 😳

Indrani...master of the Rubik cube symbolism...I bow to thee...

Awesome post...
@underlined..what a beautiful thought and when u connect it with yesterday, it all falls in place. The story really has found its way back to the point where it started...with an added bonus...with a journey to look back too for clues... If they had not traversed the distance from the last time Shravan refused to call himself Sumo's Shravan to the point of yesterday, when again he refuses to be acknowledged as Sumo's Shravan, the two would indeed be lost, especially Shravan. If this story had to start at the first point, Shravan had not even courage to articulate his thoughts, he did not think himself capable of love, Sumo did not know that she was loved by Shravan...So among the various negatives, there are positives too...this guys will be fine...

Yeah, Kamini's dialogues! 😆 Sweet Revenge! 😉

At one point I felt she even felt bad for Ramnath and then she seemed to be relishing that too.that she had brought this pitiable state on him!

Thanks to Kamini, not only did Shravan agree for the marriage- he even had to make it look like it was HIS DECISION alone...He didn't even give Sumo a chance.

If he had agreed for Nanu's sake, he still could call it a decision taken FOR HER...But now he agreed for his dad- that changes the game a bit! 😉

Thank U, Kamini!😆

Soup, i was amazed and was really impressed with Kamini.👏Such a manipulative lady she is!!😆
She proved that she's more intelligent than Shravan n Ramnath put together😆. The way she manipulated both the chaps was commendable👏.
