How can one say that she is selfish ? If she is , then she definitely wouldn't have cared for preekar shaadi & her Maami mami , also she didn't take Shravan for granted , she have that blind belief, whatever she does Shravan won't leave her. I'm not saying that Suman is right, she is wrong, Shravan is wrong , both r wrong & both r right from their pov.
Coming to Aditya , I definitely don't agree , she non where entertained him .She gave him the right to drag her into the room, WHAT ????? She didn't know that he really is a fevicol & coming to condemning this act , she kept on saying him to be calm , but he did crossed all the lines .MY blood boiled seeing him announcing his marriage with suman 😡
How can one say her love is not pure , if not she would have not waited for 10 long years for his return & she made him to do all her work in childhood, Agree..but y did he do? Bcoz he loves to do that, he loves to be with her , whatever he did in childhood is purely his wish .
When Shravan said he cut all the ties with suman in PCT , she remembered only "kholki dosthi " coz that hurt her so much. Even same with Shravan, he too remembered many sour moments of suman instead of her hug , their friendly talks, that's the human tendency , when we r in pain definitely we think about all the painful situations not happy ones.
This is my pov, Shravan & Suman are Meant for each other in true sense.

I don't think it was "pure love" that influenced her to be interested in him when he returned 10 years later. Isn't it ironic that when he was the nerd, she never valued him. And when he turned into a hot rich guy, she waits for his arrival and acts like he's the most important person ever.

Even then, she expected shravan to return to India and to just forget all the pain she caused him in their childhood. She expected him to be all in-love with her. This seems to be Suman's most consistent trait - she hurts Shravan, and then expects him to forget all about it and propose to her.

Exactly! I wonder if he was still a nerd, would she have gone all head-over-heels in love with him? Her unconditional love was never shown. She was simply smitten by him after the case of Khosla. And infatuation came along after that.
Regarding her trait, it has been like that since childhood. I want Shravan to give it back to her equally. But not in a revengeful manner. He shouldn't stoop low to her level, he should just be happy with his life and move on. His "move on" from before should come into play now. He should show Suman that he isn't the same anymore, who she can simply walk over whenever she wants.

She didn't know about his feelings when he left for London, she waited for him to return so that she can sort out all differences, same time she developed feelings for him.
When she came across the letter which he wrote 10 yrs back , She did realize her mistake & agreed that Shravan's anger & pain is reasonable. She agreed her mistake what she was done long back , but the point is she didn't realize the same then.
This doesn't mean I support the actions of young Suman, no.

Yeah Suman does all thinks & expects him to forget all , coz that's how their relationship was from the beginning, and now she is changed , when Shravan avoided & ignored her , didn't she go to him to convince him? Didn't she make him understand what's his issue is ?
Maano ya maano Shravan chahe dhuniya ke liye kaisa bhi ho par Suman ke matters mein wo alag hai & same with suman too

This is what bothered me the most about suman's character to begin with. I wonder if shravan did not love her , would she have even bothered to be apologetic about her obnoxious behavior as a teenager. She only felt sorry when she read the letter. So it all boils down to everything being centered around her. So I think the CV's started out on a pretty wrong note with her character . Of course, they tried to bring some level of pathos by making her an orphan and having other family issues. But I think her consistently selfish behavior overshadowed the small element of pity or compassion that the audience would feel for her.

Agree with u Deb! Suman character showed most inconsistently in this entire marriage track!!
I loved her more initially than any other character... But now I am not relating her no more...I agree she selfish but only for Shravan.. She sacrifice her life for her family but not for shravan!!

How can she is not seeing shravan pain? first of all she ignored and avoided him for ramanath.. Next she didn't even bothered for shravan like how he misunderstood her.. Even after shravan told her about Aditya intentions fisrt she avoided but she didn't returned her lehenga.. That is most inconsistent and this is not the sumo i loved...

So she knows somehow Aditya have intentions but she didn't took care of that and used him for making jealous shravan.. Until now ok.. But again she did mistake by accepting papers.. Day before she lectures shravan and next day she accepted Aditya papers and in illusion of shravan gave that papers..

I don't know cv's have realized how inconsistent was sumo character...Story also gone down!!

How can cv's not shown sumo return that lehenga... How can they miss that... Nanu melodrama was too odd.. Just to show sumo as abla naari...is that necessary?? If I want to see ablanaari I can see other saas bahu shows na.. Why cv's made this beautiful show to nonsense illogical show.. Great cv's

I' m fed up of complaining about characters and this show!! Nothing changes.. They will show crap we will watch... I wish I can quit this show!! watching EDKV now for namik only !!

she is a kind of dumb when it comes to shravan's feelings.
nd her self respect drama goes on only infront of shravan.
takes him fr granted.. dnt know y bt she forgets that even he is a human and has a breaking pt.

I am more of a silent lurker here but I feel that mostly the hero gets some sort of a free pass to be a douche because he is so 'tortured'. Or Maybe the lines between the actor and the character get blurred or maybe its just that majority of us our females, we are obviously more attracted to the male character. But why is the heroine supposed to understand and put up with everything the hero throws at her ... just because ...

I have seen suman plenty of times before making the first effort after a fight while shravan was busy sulking. And Suman's "self respect" jaap actually has a very logical base. She grew up without parents with mama and mamis who did not treat her like their own. They didn't abuse her but I'm sure suman got the idea quickly that she had to whatever she wants on her own only. No use relying on someone for help. Nanu was there, but how much did nanu really know about the day to day going ons in the house esp when he was working ?

Shravan instead sees her need to be self dependent as some sort of a fault. He equates that with her putting herself before her family. How many times has sharavan seen suman go above and beyond for her family? Yet he still thinks her as self absorbed. If Sharavn has mommy issues and trust issues, suman has her own issues too. Why doesn;t he think before jumping the gun every single time?

And how could she refuse nanu in that instant? That was emotional manipulation of the worst kind. He literally was about to die. Trying to explain anything to nanu is really not an option.

I'm sorry but the shit shravan pulled off in the PCT (no matter what his hangups were), I would have kicked him out of my life for saying all the crap he said. There are lines you don't cross and he crossed them. Yet we never see him reflect for one second and think that - maybe, maybe i shouldn't have said all that much. Why should sumo always understand shravan? Even if she knows about ramnath's manipulation, shravan is not a child. How can he say all that stuff to her? Does he think before speaking?

If the PCT scene had not happened, I might have agreed to some of your points. But after that scene, why should sumo understand shravan at all? She has got a dozen problems in her life which he never understands. She is better off focusing her energy trying to make her life work better.
