I'm back with an update
Off i know dont bash me if u ppl are doing so then coz its almost 3 weeks since i last updated so sorry to all who eagerly patiently waited for waiting's next chapter
So no further delay heres the next chapter ...enjoy!!
CHAPTER 4Her phone rang displaying 'HIS' name
She immediately picked up the call
Suman: hello? Shravan?
Ramnath's eyes lit up on hearing his son's name. He came nearer to suman
Suman: kya?
She said with a whisper and in shock her phone slid down before falling on the ground
Ramnath watched her and then the phone and then again back at her with a confused and worried look
Not able to bear the confusion anymore, he went to stand infront of suman and holding both her shoulders gave her a jerk.
Ramnath: suman!! Suman!! Hua kya bataogi??
She just glanced at ramnath without expression and tears flowing down her cheek. Seeing his concerned face for herself too, for a moment she forgot him to be ramnath and thought her father was standing there
She hugged him crying out hard and calling him papa!
She clutched him tightly ramnath was still confused but seeing her in this state for a moment he too considered her his own daughter forgetting everything and began comforting her like a father. Tears rolled down from his cheeks too.
Ramnath(while crying): kya hua beta?
But she dint say a word and just cried while everyone watched confused.
After realizing what she's doing she immediately pulled away and stared at ramnath with wide eyes.
Suman: i'm...i'm sorry uncle...vo...
But ramnath tried to nod in negative but before he could say anything she grabbed her phone from the ground and ran towards her car wiping the tears with her left hand and pulling her lehenga up with right.
Ramnath shouted her to stop but she dint budge to listen. Irritated and concerned for her ramnath went to pull out his car.
Pushkar(shouting): bare papa!! Mai bhi chalunga
Ramnath was amused to hear 'bare papa' again from his mouth after a long time he just gave a worried nod and this lalaji , varun and nanu too accompanied them.
Kamini and other ladies went in kamini's car with a driver and ralatives and friends/guests were asked to wait there itself.
In the car suman was remembering her conversation with the man a while back.
*FLASHBACK*Suman: hello? Shravan?
Man(in the phone): nai mai shravan nai bol rha hoon...vo kya hai yahan iss talaab k paas ek taxi ki accident hui hai and vahin paas mein se hume ye phone mila hai aur jab ise on kiya toh dekha aapke bohot saare missed calls thay toh socha call kr k bata doon
Suman: kya...*FLASHBACK ENDS*Suman:* aisa nai ho skta shravan tum apna promise nai tor skte*
She drove in full speed still crying and her heart sinking every second.
While ramnath was following her car without losing its sight followed by kamini's car.
Suman reached the lake and immediately jumped out of her car before running near where the man was standing and leaving the car door open
She came near him scanning the whole place. There were police jeeps and a constructor was called to pull out the taxi from the lake.
Man: ye lijiye ma'am unka phone.
And he gave her shravan's mobile. Suman with her trembling hands slowly took the phone glancing at it in utter shock. Tears were silently sliding down her cheeks
Ramnath and rest of the party reached too but they stood at a distance not able to calculate what the scene was in front of them.
Ramnath scanned the area filled with police and a constructor car pulling something from the lake with his eyes popping out every second.
His heart was sinking too with the scene he was watching.
Soon the taxi came into sight.
Half tilted due to hanging and water spilling out from the whole body as it was freshly taken out from the lake.
A hanging hand was visible from one of the door of the taxi and the number plate was hidden by the water grasses of the lake.
Suman stared at the taxi with numb body and mind, she dint know how to react and so was ramnath and rest of the family
As soon as the carrier gave a jerk to the holder the grasses covering the broken number plate fell off making it clearly visible
And seeing the number plate suman's eyes became blood shot red popping almost out of the socket.
She slowly started taking steps towards the taxi with initial whispers and nodding in no.
Suman: nai...nai...(shouting at the top of her voice) NAI!!!!
And began running towards the taxi along with crying hard but the police men held her and prevented her from going any further
She cried and shouted and screamed that let her see once the taxi and that hand. She knew it wasn't shravan's she just wanted to confirm her confirmation but no one let her do so.
Finally feeling tired and weak she slimped down on the ground crying hard .
Seeing her in this devastated state everyone's eyes were flowing tears even ramnath's shock broke when he saw how helpless suman was.
Suman(looking up closing her eyes tightly and screaming at the top of her voice): SHRAVANNN!!!!!!!
Suddenly drops of rain fell on suman's face . It started raining. The drops started to smoothly caress her face.
Suman slowly touched the drops which were now mixing with her tears
Preeti(whispering out of her cry): di...
Pushkar hugged her tightly while she cried hard making pushkar's shervani wet.
Ramnath slowly ascended his steps towards suman
He came just behind her and was about to put a hand on her shoulder when suman spoke still looking constantly at the drop in her hand.
Suman(half crying and half smiling): shravan...mtlb saavan... Jab saavan mere paas aa skta hai toh tum kya cheez ho mr. Shravan Malhotra... Tumhe aana hi hoga sun rhe ho tum?? Aana hi hoga apni sumo k liye tumhe apna promise poora krna hoga!! Agar promise tora na ...toh mai tumhari taange tor dungi!!
She said and both ramnath and she silently chuckled.
Suman(making serious face and crying again): shravan jab tkk meri saase chal rhi hain i know...i know ki tumhe bhi kuch nai hua hai aur tum mere paas vaapas aaoge! Kyuki jis din tumhe kuch hoga tumhari saaso se pehele tumhari sumo ki saase ruk jaayengi! Your every breath is mine toh tumhe koi hakk nai hai use control krne ka do you understand!!?? Koi hakk nai hai (whispering) jab mai hi nai rhungi toh (increasing her volume while speaking in one breath) jo mann mein aaye krna abhi nai!!!
Saying this she again broke down badly which faded ramnath's smile away.
He slowly put his hand on her shoulder and made her stand up
As soon as she stood up she hugged him tightly and cried out huge and loud sobs which broke down every members even kamini and specially ramnath
He tried consoling her
Ramnath(controlling back his tears): sshh nothing has happened to shravan i promise you suman...i'm sorry suman...
After this she dint remember what further he said just on thought arose..."sorry? For what? Why is everything turning black? I cant see anyone cant hear anyone..."
And then she collapsed in his arms unconcious and not responding.
Everyone was feared to death
Suman did not gain her conciousness back for one whole week. Nanu had an attack after watching his granddoughter not responding for more than 2 days but rhe attack was minor so he was saved.
ONE WEEK LATER..."Sumo i promise you kuch nai hoga mujhe trust me i will return to you i promise"Their hands slowly gets apart and as soon as he leave her hand a sudden blackness dawn on her and SWOOSH!!! ...he's gone...nowhere to be seenShe panicks and looks here and there scratching her hair and forehead helplessly "Shravan!!! Tum mujhe chhor k nai jaa skte!! Tou cant leave me alone!! You promise me!!!"She shouts but she's surrounded by darkness. Suddenly she feels suffocated and grasping ruthlessly for air to breathe she collapses down "Shr...sh...shrav..." She tries to call out but only whispers blurt out. She tries hard..."SHRAVANN!!!"Shouting his name she pops up suddenly on her bed and hearing her screem ramnath hurridly came inside to sit beside her followed by the rest of the family members except nanu as he was sleeping after much insistance of ramnath
Her breathing was laboured as if somebody tried to choke her to death. Beads of sweat were advancing down her forehead till the neck
Ramnath slowly shook her
Ramnath: su...suman??
Suman slowly glance at him and breaths in a deep breath in thereby having full control over her breathing
Her eyes were blood shot red after watching her death so near. Tears were flowing uncontrollably down her cheeks but had a rough and cold expression on face.
Ramnath(unsure): what happened??
Suman(a bit loud whisper): uncle...(she gulps down the nervousness forming in the form of saliva) uncle...shravan kahan hai...?
She was again going to collapse feeling weak when ramnath held her and made her lie down properly covering her by the sheet of cloth
Ramnath: abhi tum araam kro hum baas mein baat krte hain
He was about to leave when suman caught hold of his wrist
Suman:uncle mai...
But he cuts her off in the middle
Ramnath: tum abhi kamzor ho suman aur isiliye abhi tum tayar nai ho vo sunne k liye jo mai tumse kahunga...i promise you mai ek poora din baith k tumse iss baare mein baat krna chahta hoon...hmm? Now be a good girl and take enough rest.
He said with a smile which ensured it should not be a bad news. He planted a kiss on her forehead and caressed her head while she closed her eyes to take some rest . She felt a bit wierd but felt loved a father's love.
Ramnath looked at her peacefully sleeping face for a minute longer and walked out of the room stariaght to nanu's room to wait for him to wake up so that he can discuss the matter briefly.
After 2 hours nanu woke up and was surprized to see ramnath sleeping on a chair beside him.
He tried to straighten up in his place when ramnath blink opens his eyes
He quickly run beside nanu helping him to sit straight.
Ramnath: tiwariji sambhaal k...
Nanu coughed a little
Ramnath(concerned): ab kaisi hai aapki tabiyat?
Nanu nods in positive to indicate he's fine now and ramnath understood
Ramnath(little hesitant): tiwariji...vo..darasal baat ye thi...mujhe aapse suman k baare mein baat krna tha...
Nanu gets tensed but then nods for him to go ahead
Ramnath(a lot more hesitant): vo darasal...mai chahta tha ki...suman ko...suman ko aap mujhe saup de!
Nanu's eyes widened on hearing this...
Ramnath enters suman's room whem she was having a hot cup of garlic tea made by preeti
He stands there a bit hesitant looking to and fro from suman's face to ground
Preeti understood and went outside to give them some alome time
Then ramnath pulls out a chair and seated himself near suman
Suman got worried sick seeing him this hesitant and quietly placed her cup on the bedside table
Suman: kya baat hai uncle?...aapne kaha tha aap poora ek din mere saath baith kar is baare mein baat krnge toh kya abhi krnge? Aur kis baare mein?
She asked tensedly
Ramnath looked into her eyes
Ramnath: haan mai abhi hi karunga aur isi vakt
Suman(now hesitant herself): ha...haan boliye...
Ramnath: suman...tumhe mere saath malhotra mansion chalna hoga but...
Suman(worried): but kya uncle? Boliye na?
Ramnath: but meri ek shart hai...
Suman(afraud to ask): kaisi...shart...?
As soon as ramnath told her whole thing her eyes widened and she wasn't able to believe what she just heard.
She just then holded the cup before hearing him out and after hearing the news her hands started shaking tears started flowing down the cheeks. The cup was about to fall from her hand when ramnath caught hold of it
Ramnath: sambhaal k suman! Dekho beta mujhe pata hai tumhare liye ye kitna shocking hai par mera vishvaas kro beta jab mujhe ye baat pata chala aur ehsaas hua toh mere liye bhi kamm shocking nai tha...par maine accept kiya toh ab tum bhi kr lo...please beta i'm sorry...
Suman closed her eyes tightly letting the tears flow...
She was ever ready for this 'shart' but forgiving ramnath for what he did was not so easy.
Suman(eyes still closed): uncle mujhe kuch vakt akele rehna hai sochne k liye...
And nodding understandingly ramnath left her alone
She lied down in delima staring up at the cieling thinking hard!
Precap: "sumo..." She heard a whisper and turned around in the direction smiling but her face fell as she found no one and then she sees somebody's shadow coming from behind her. She turned around to see the person but stood there tensed and horrified staring with wide eyes...So this was it the long awaited chapter hope you all will love it do hit the like button and drop your well wishes for me
