My understanding of EDKV

Thanks to Red Rekha darling Indrani and ms J I understood this show is not like the regular Romantic show.

This is my small rant 😆
90 plus episodes and if you still have not realised what EDKV is it's sad cause it means writers have failed to communicate their ideas properly or we are looking for what we want to see in the wrong place. This story as a friend said is the writers story his perspective not ours we don't get to choose how the characters should be or not be. The writers has not caught us by the throat demanding us to watch the show. It's his show please let him tell his Vision.also those people saying they own us this much for sticking around the reality is you stuck around cause you wanted to not that anyone made you to plus please don't tell whatever Trp the show has is because of the fandom no the truth is there are normal tv audience who are watching the show majority of us watch online

If you want a story like what you expected to see please feel free to write your own Story rather than ranting Wink

This is not out and out Romance seriously peeps there are other shows out there to whet your appetite

EDKV is out and out a show about the leads their journey to them being one or like you all say confession is the high point of the story anything like marriage and whatever that we say the cvs show will just be an epilogue to the beautiful story not a continuation.

Now if you seriously want confession and Ramnath exposure within the next two weeks there's no more conflicts for the leads and their love story
the story ends here weather we like it or not and please don't say Trp fell because of no Sharman scenes.
This is one of those 'And they lived happily ever after ' Kind fairytales we have heard from childhood

The fact is we are not used to such a beautiful depiction of a story 😳
No offence to anyone but atleast appreciate the writers efforts and guts to stay true to the story line
It's so easy for all of us me included to criticise but we are so stingy when it comes to appreciation.

For those people who want to leave the show in the coming days for whatsoever reason you are free to do but there are people like me who enjoy coming to this forum so please keep the negativity at bay and live in peace!

EDKV is a very simple tale...that it is on for 90 odd episodes is a testimony to the ability of the writer to engage with viewers with a simple plotline...

Red has said often the villain in the story is time...and tide will turn at some point...

Turning points in this story have come at certain points...if time had not intervened the confession would have been over and the two would have been busy with their marital life...😆

Having said that, the rant of less screenspace for Shraman is a very valid point...only issue to consider...why did the makers not do this if it was indeed such a foregone conclusion...

In my view..having more screenspace for the leads would have meant that the reasons for the separation would have long ago dissipated...U can't have two lovers love each other so much and yet not confess...unless there are strong reasons for the same...extraneous or intrinsic...This tale does not have that complication. All complications were solved after the Khosla track...the biggest angst was Shravan's reading of Sumo...Nirmala is a point but as we have seen, for Shrav it is Sumo who is the bigger deal...even though she thinks otherwise.

Having said that...I have loved the simple writing of this serial...The serial may have not delivered the high passion points which is a stock prerequisite for a romance serial but it has delivered a beautiful love story of teenage love maturing into hopefully a beautiful adult relationship...It is a tuf tale to tell in this genre without gimmicks...

I saw passion when Shravan knocked on Sumo's door to ask her to stay away from Varma, I saw passion when he held hands of Sumo while signing the case papers for Khosla case, I saw passion in every one of their encounters before they made peace about their relationship on the terrace...yes...it could have been more intense from then on too but I suppose the makers wanted to tell their tale in a way that focusses on the characters emotions rather than a sense of the stock scenes that a romance serial is expected to have.

I suppose there are lessons for the writers if their effort has been too subtle but personally have enjoyed this tale and look forward to the joint walk of Shraman into the sunset...whenever that is...😊

You were spot on.

I agree with what you said here.

I am happy with the show and I am totally positive about the upcoming track.

The only problem I face a little bit is that Shraman are getting low screen space and I agree that it is the writer's P.O.V but aren't they putting the show for the viewers?So sometimes its the viewers could be taken in too only if we are sensible,after all TRPs matter because of the audience.

For me I will stick onto the show,be positive,spread positivity and enjoy seeing the story.

Super post..

I agree with all that you said.. EDKV has been a fabulous journey of two individuals.. Their growth, their trials and tribulations, their joys and happiness and ultimately how they find their way to each other.. How these two wonderful individuals come together to become one entity that's made for each other only.. #EDKV

The only slight issue I have currently is the screen space for ShraMan.. I understand that all characters are important in the story but reducing the leads' screen time to merely 2 mins an episode isn't done..n that's according to me.. If ShraMan are given more screen space we will get better scenes, the viewers will be happier.. It would make for a more interesting watch..

I love the show n I love NiMik as ShraMan.. I have watched a lot of shows and this is realistic and beautiful.. I'm sticking to it and I'm sure I won't be disappointed..

Am I saying we are not supposed to rant hell no we all should but there's a limit of you want intimate and hot steaming romance in this tale we are not going to get it if they plan on being consistent with the characterisation. This is my understanding of the characters not necessarily be the same for everyone.

But frankly the way this forum demanding Nirnala back Ramnath exposure and Sharman confession tell me Mittu what possibly is left to stop them from having their happily ever after. Confession should be the end game

People saying post confession and post marriage track demand don't realise that is so not going to do justice to the story it's has been its always been about these two 😉 every fairytale had a wicked stepmother or somebody who played Cupid right!!

Here too it's the same in case of Ramnath Chachi Preekar etc.
as for you saying about Trp audience see when a story has almost reached halfway its journey Trp people should logically understand what the essence of the show is deserving to see what they WANT to see maybe it's me I have watched mostly English shows there so much of things shown that doesn't make sense I watch it if I want or switch it off as simple as that!!

Agreed!I am putting myself into positive shoes in here too,its not like I am demanding no screen space of any actor other than Nimik but a bit of it added would work for me(its a fan's heart who speaks here)

Agreed again. My characterisation is somewhat same. I believe that their real essence is their friendship. This friendship so strong that one doesn't need the three words to the other to tell or show the love and connection between them.

@boldFor me it goes 50-50 here. Somewhere I believe it should be but somewhere I see them being in love and fighting against all the odds just like they did once Shravan came back from London

See now this is to the audience. Everyone perceives the show differently,wants/expect something from the show so its just that everyone's idea about the show is different and thus this TRP game would go and on.For me personally the TRP does not matter but for the show/directors/cv's and actors it does.

See Mittu once the confession done what conflicts can really be shown conflicts that can make them part ways nothing don't you see these two can't stay away from each other once it's done they will be like fevistick 😆

See I accept that each can express but the issue is people putting expectations in the wrong place when I meant expectations what we need to realise EDKV will never be the intimate passionate kinda romance we are not going to get that 🤢 there will be passion but in a subtle manner. 😉

Trp is the channels and ph problems by the way rival channel has a certain Miss Gs show has started that's the cause for fall of the Trp there the show is a perfect recepie of the kind of passionate romance that people for some reason find attractive and not to forget bromance too no offence to any fan

am sure they all were expecting it

the way people hype about all this I'm surprised seriously there's life outside a television show 😆
