But to be honest, he is not the one totally at fault here. It was destinys ploy that he never got a chance to see her once ziddi n arrogant Sumo grow into this beautiful woman she today is. He never got a chance to be so close to her that he could find reasons to consider her self respect as important as his own. He never got any reason to respect her so passionately that a single blow to her respect can make him squirm in pain and angst. And this is what exactly Pushkar also said. Shravan does not know what all she has done all this while. Somehow for him Sumo is just a rebellious extension of the stubborn girl she was in school. Coz though he got a glimpse of how much her self respect matters for her during the Khaunsla track but now after feeling the heat himself, he is getting the real taste of it.
And thus I feel that if really this accident track is for Shravan to find his sweet reasons to respect Suman, I am more than ecxited for it!! And I think this is exactly where his guilt comes in picture too. This guilt ought to do a lot with misunderstanding her fighting spirit/independence as her arrogance and letting her fall.
I just hope that during the accident tracl when he will be closer than ever to her, he finally learns to not just love but respect her too. For him he has always been a savior to her, her knight in shining armor but he needs to learn that if she needs him to save her or not is her decision and in case he really loves her he ought to respect her decision. He needs to learn that Sumo of today is much more than his childhood friend who was always in need of some rescue. She is her own hero and until he learns to respect this about her, even his unconditional love shall fall short for her some day.
