This guy does not let go ... the amount of times he has mentioned MOVED ON .. shows how desperately he is trying to convince himself ... he has moved on ... but while his mind says that his heart holds on ..

Red...a much needed post...A wine shot...and a heady concoction...

The keyword...Obliteration...in fact, its the one thing I guess we need to keep in mind when we look at the character Shravan Malhotra...

Personally, when the promos came up, I was not keen to watch the show as I was not keen on a tale that i thot was on a reformation theme...But the first episode i saw was the homecoming party of Shravan and well He had me at "Kaun Sumo?...

From that day onwards...this character has my complete attention and honestly despite the lack of monologues I could understand the character rather well..the layering nuanced but also easy to understand

The daal did have me in a tizzy for a while..esp its repeated use and Indrani and I did pick each other's brains on that...😆😆I wondered why an evocative memory should become a cause of so much deliberation.

I mistook the brief moment of reflection that Shravan showed on eating the daal as a "keep a thought at bay moment". It never struck me that he has buried, weeded out the actual memory of eating the daal in happier times with his mother, even as the taste has permeated his soul, a typical behaviour of someone in a post-trauma situation.

The use of the daal as a plot device for this manifestation is rather unique, I now accept wholeheartedly. As JJKKL said..Daal the pulse of meal, life. Got the pulse of the plot...Thank Youagain Red for the use of the word "obliterate"...powerful and succinct...to explain the scene...Thank u Indrani for your prodding that got us all here...
