When the first time I heard the song play, I wasn't so impressed. Thought of it as "any other song" in "any other serial" that speaks of Love, blah.. Blah.. Blah! But you see how desperate the CVs and Makers of this show are! I had to change my view. Coz it's "Ek Duje Ke Vaaste" and not just anything! As of now, it's the best piece I've heard on Indian Television. Its a piece which is not only musically enriching but also fits in the story so well! And its been used time and again so resourcefully. Presenting it's dissection.
Hoton Pe Tere, Shikwon Ka Shor Hai
Usage: Literally, it means how a person has so many complaints about the other. Used for Shravan initially, it talked of his hidden, compressed complaints about Suman- The girl who broke his heart, let him down, disrespected his feelings and ignored him. All his complaints were justified. Sumo, on her part had her own sweet 'Shikayats'. Shravan left her without seeing her face, didn't message her in these years...Rather we began with these grumblings. So, there couldn't be a more suitable first line.
Note: The complaints lie only on the lips, not in the heart. They are very much superficial
Par Yeh Nigaahein, Kehti Kuch Aur Hai
Usage: As a study of psychology, one would understand that eyes reflect emotions of heart. One can lie from the lips, but not from the heart. Feeling embedded there are real, true and everlasting. They are pure. So, even though thousands of complaints lie on their lips, their heart always beat as one. Their eyes reflect the truth, which is, undying love. After a while, when the revenge was seemed, began the realisation of true feelings. Shravan, though fighting with her, always looked upon her with Love and Care.
Jo Hain Mile Yeh Lamhe Kahin,Choot Naa Jaaye Haath Se
Usage: Time is supreme and no one can fight against it, however powerful you are. How strong your love is, you have to bow down in front of Time...No matter what. After some feelings are evoked, Shravan and Suman want each other's company, to stay together, to be with each other. But alas! Time and Destiny play their dirty game and Shravan decides to leave for London. Sumo, at present, loses against Time again as he HAS to leave her. They only can cherish their small moments which they spent together. Its a warning line, to not waste time in differences and petty fights. Cherish the time spent.
Kyun Hai Dabi Si Khwahishein, Dil Mein Tere Bewajah
Jaake Zara Use Bol De, Chahta Jise Tu Raha
Usage: Whenever this line is used, either of them were leaving the scene, with the other struggling within to express emotions as words. A slight emphasis on "Bewajah". It's useless to stay mum, specially when Destiny has been cruel to you once. You should run, go confess, hug! And this line was stupendously used yesterday for Sumo. Perfect time, perfect line! It seems as if makers had thought of this scene and written it.
Kahin Teri Khaamoshiyaan, Jeet Naa Jaaye Pyaar Se
Usage: My favourite line from the entire piece. It's just so perfect, just so subtle! Speech is Silver but Silence Is Golden. Alas! Everything that's gold, isn't good. The Midas Story. Silence of the Heart indicates lack of communication. And howsoever strong your feelings are, IF they remain unexpressed.. They remain" Feelings", forever! Again a warning line to confess, before it's too late.
Note: We say Destiny has been cruel, but is it? Sumo asked for a second chance, she was given. She couldn't confess, so she got yet another chance as Shravan stays behind, albeit with a reason too, this time. London has been a hanging dagger since the beginning. It's a dreaded place. This time, Sumo has the chance and the reason.
Inevitably,
Mil Jaate Hain Jo Bane, Ek Duje Ke Vaaste
Note: Again emphasis on 'Jaate Hain'(indicates surety). I use this instead of 'Jaane De'(indicates probability). Tense advantage simply. Those who are made for each other are destined to meet, be together.
So, the point is-- This is not just a TT, it's a whole journey which encompasses all the feelings, emotions and stages of this show. It's a jist of the entire storyline, which makes it extremely important, beloved and cherished.
PS- Sorry if you felt this was repeated umpteen number of times. But I had to write this.
PPS- Sorry again, if I just bored you with too much detailing and unnecessary babbling.
