Now, yesterday's episode (5Th May). This is in continuation to the first Chapter (4th may)
First scene our madcap has planned everything to make this day count. She explains all the details. But, Shravan tells her he cannot go along with the plan because he would have to attend Chachi's extended family wedding function. Sumo was hurt palpably... there was hardly any disguise... she was the little Sumo here...🤗 but, answers were again in the negative. She prayed to God that something happens to the groom or the bride of that family... Viola, something does happen but to Shravan and he stays back not for her but because of the accident. So, our Hottie is not in love with her, he did not sprain his leg by himself (I wanted him to act, myself.. .does that make me a child? A selfish one at that😉)
Anyways, the moot point is he did not stop for her but for his family.. particularly for his father... whom he shall be leaving for ever now. Yes, he would get to meet him but as his father pointed out it shall come with a deadline. So, did Sumo not at all figure in the scheme of things? She did, again go back to that phone convo between Sumo and Shravan. Shravan patiently heard her, listened to all her planning for the day and also, felt her happiness.. see the way he was glowing.. yet he could not allow those dreams which he fervently wanted to share and experience himself hamper with the dreams of an old man, his father. Or, even that of Chachi.. who was a mother to his dear brother.. not his and never shall be... yet a mother. And also, when Sumo rebukes him that yeah and go enjoy yourself with someone you find there at the wedding... he negates it as softly and as reassuringly as he might have done during their umpteen interactions during their childhood (remember when he makes her laugh while she is upset on looking at those jewelry of her mom).
Next scene, he calls up Sumo and tells he is not going. Sumo realizes he was really injured and supports him (the eyelock here.. most of us did miss it😆). They relive their school experiences and few childhood memories. Many of us had complained that it was going very fast, few scenes from the OLV had been cut. (I haven't seen the OLV... so will not comment about it). But, more than the scenes were rushed, what I do feel now is that they should have shown the childhood version of Sumo and Shravan during this scene... well, I am not going to deal what was wrong in those scenes.. but, rather I shall concentrate what I felt was right. 😆😆
There was one scene when Shravan told Sumo that he seen her dance to the movie they were watching. A dance which he was not supposed to see and he requested her or blackmailed her to dance for him again. She in spite of her misgivings agreed (Sumo, my baby🤗). But, he refused to see her dance. Refused her to be manipulated by anyone.. even if that person be him. He laughed wildly... happy and shocked that she had agreed to do this for him... calling her chudail or something. Letting it go. But, see this scene in its entirety and you will know whether Shravan loves her...
And then there's passport scene.. Sumo hides it. Why? I guess today she will place it back... not only because he refuses to acknowledge his feelings for her now ( I think so, shall wait however) but, on account of knowing ever so strongly that she was once loved by him (and also the contents of the letter also does figure... remember he said he would go forever where she would be and even give up on his dreams...)
Next, Sumo is arranging his suitcase (isn't it sweet.. that he was arranging his brother's cupboard while she is doing it for him😳). While arranging two objects are revealed... inane in themselves but is it so? One, a razor.. he says his first one. (I am pretty sure this was given to him by his father) Second, keychain, must have been given to him by his mother. They are not so important because they represent antiquity but because they contain the touch, the feelings of two people who were the most important in his life. Father, of course a constant presence in his life and a mother whom he loved once and probably again, in a convoluted way does now as well. Taking these two things in mind.. now read the connotations of the letter. Is the letter only reminiscent of a time when he foolishly wrote it down? Or is the letter resplendent of an image of a girl which he carries till date in his heart? An image which he does not want to be broken or exploited by anyone, least of all by himself... by the declaration of his love. An image which he doesn't want to share with anyone..not even with his father and also, not with his present self.
I will not discuss and bore you with what is going to happen. For that, there is still time.
