The strength of one's character is defined by his emotions !!

His smile is enchanting, his suave makes heads turn, his words are charming, his conduct is endearing, his success is inspiring his intelligence is intoxicating...but beneath all these layers, today we were shown glimpse of the core of his character, which tugs our heart !! In specific I am referring to this moment ...

Till now he was the center of the stage... Shravan, Shravan, Shravan .. Shravan was looked up to, like a hero, with regards, he was adored, dotted, he was always the main focus, be it in Malhotra house or Tiwari house..but this scene said a different story all together.. For me he was always that practical intelligent bandha,.. I almost forgot that Shravan could be weighed down by emotions... but then I realized the strength of his character from young Shravan till now.. it's again built on these emotions in him ,

But it tugs your heart to see a desolate, out of focus Shravan standing in the background.. that one moment was subtle yet very poignant,.. I couldn't get that out of my mind.. we see him smile looking at the family taking selfie.. but the very smile is etched in loneliness and despair.. there is a void... in him .. yet he is happy for the family !! that moment was sooo symbolic ... for the family he is not there, but he is still there for them, behind them...when they stumble he will be the one to hold and support...

What he has and what he lacks is very well shot in that bit, words don't have to be used at all instances.. moments like these convey the deepest of the despair and despondency . He is happy with all his heart looking at them taking selfie.. but the very same heart conveyed something deeper, something which tugs your heart.. that is the void in him. If he wanted, he could have took couple of steps and joined them in the selfie.. but something stopped him...something pulled him back.. he was just smiling looking at the family and when the moment ended.. he couldn't control his feelings and instantly pulled Pushkar into a tight heartwarming hug.. that hug was more than hugging sibling for his success, it was mushy, his emotions were overwhelming... but he has amazing control on those emotions .

Just few minutes back when he was talking to Rishi and Riya, he had least intention or he had no plan on the horizon to go back .. as he said "honestly mazaa aana toh abhi shuru hua hain " he plans to take family for lunch , he genuinely wanted to spend more time with family and friends.. little did he know that the very same family is not really HIS family ..his wish to stay back and spend time with family and friends is really short lived ... he was deeply hurt, anguished,.. he was devastated to see this side of chachi.. despite knowing how chachi is ...he didn't expect this from her.. who always referred him as her son.. but does he hate her .. NO .. he doesn't ... that' not him !!

One who has lost everything will know the value of it,.. Shravan lost his family .. as in when his mom left him, his dad and him are there for each other, but a family is complete only when there is mom, dad and siblings ...which Shravan lost when he was a kid. His connect with Sumo and Tiwari's is much more closer to his heart as we always say, Tiwari family is Shravan's real family,, the warmth, affection, admiration, closeness, love, regards which he gets there is hardly seen here except for Pushkar and lalaji . Being devoid of family he knows the worth of it .. to keep that family intact .. he, has to be strong again in the background ,... as we see in the picture.. he will have to be out of focus, and that is how he can keep that family together and happy ,. as in while taking selfie.

When it comes to professional front, he always leads from the front.. when it comes to family members .. he stays behind to support them, when they stumble... such amazing dynamics and layers to his character.. and the intricate and precise writing in such scenes makes it even more poignant . here he is the emotional support, without actually being there but still there standing strong in the background.. ...

It is tough to leave something which you want to hold together, one needs lot of strength, lot of endurance to let go of anything which you never want to part with ,.. but have to !!

The scene of Shravan and Pushkar was again very intricately done ... with symbolism ... Pushkar says mom disturbed his closet .. which is true as Pushkar is disturbed by mom's zidh and not the closet .. Shravan in a much calmer tone says "disturb nahin arrange" he doesn't want mom and son to fight.. and tells him about accepting the person we love, along with all his/her flaws . while saying so, he arranged shirts back in closet...as in Shravan will fix/sort the issues in the family, from background, without anyone realizing it . Though he arranged the disturbed closet.. he is disturbed himself.. that the very confident Shravan Malhotra who could say anything to anyone , today was lost of words.. he didn't know what to share and how to share with Pushkar and hence the " bhool gaya "

and he has to move out of focus, to keep the family intact, to sort things between mom and son .. so he decides to fade out completely even from the background...for that he will be traversing from light to darkness and again, the very first person he has to share this is with "Sumo"... no matter what what she means to him is all over the place , Shravan's compassion, his love, his regards, how dearly he holds his family and friends, his warmth, his friendship, his affection is all bundled up into shaping his character, which is layered by his confidence, charm, success, intelligence, style and suave !!

Now his life, is like a unsolved rubik cube... he will sort it ...Great writing⭐️..., I have nothing against chachi, such characters are seen in every house in real life,, quite natural... but what we don't see is a character like Shravan👏👏 !!

Regards,
Munni

Very well written. Shravan just wanted to be a part of his family, just wanted to be accepted and loved.
That is why the Tiwaris hold so much meaning to him, he felt something there he could not feel at his own place.
Kaameni needs a slap in the face tbh.

The writers as a character has build Shravan so convincingly, so realistically. He has f ears and insecurities and his personality is not build up on that "one single major incident" ten years ago.
He has learned to live, yet his past weighs him down.
I was waiting for someone to make a post on this particular scene. The longing portrayed by Shravan is just heartbreaking.

Edit:- I just saw fero's hashtag and did not know it was your birthday, so Happy Belated Birthday😆

Thank you for drawing my attention to that moment
Yes, you're right! Sadly, he is there for everyone but not in the forefront. He is there, but actually not...

Perfect writing... Truly said!👏
Awww
How would I love Shravan to sometimes be like those self centred heroes who don't stop making others realise that they are HERE.
I could see that pain there...😭

Beautifully written.👏

That selfie moment perfectly captured the family dynamic - Shravan's an outsider in his own home.

I can't wait for the day he gets all the unconditional love that he deserves.🤗

Very nice post.

But the funny part is Sumo is also lonely in Tiwari house. Mami is not as bad as Chachi but still Mami and Mausi were ready to go their separate ways. Mami never used to leave any chance to put down Sumo or work get done by her.

These two are lonely inspite of Shravan having Ramnath and Sumo having Nanaji. It is their work which keeps them sane and their childhood memories.
