I am back with 2 chapters back to back. I hope you all like it. The PMs shall be sent to you all soon. All you need to do is, send me buudy request and Like the first post.

Chapter-4 - Chasing the assent

"Fine! If not here, then somewhere else. You cannot run away from me so easily. Just be ready for me as I will be back anytime. "He said and left the place.

His tone was alarming. She knew that his eye was on her and he would go to any extent to get her. He wasn't a man who would spare her so easily. She needed to rescue herself from him otherwise he would spoil her life, but how?

A few hours later, Suman was lying on her bed. Her eyes were stuck at her childhood photo which was hanging on the wall in front. She was just one and half year old then - smiling loud and her eyes were filled with joy and she was scar free then as that picture was before the accident which made her Daagi - he made her Daagi. Though, she had refused the offer but a piece of her heart wanted to give the offer a try, maybe, it would change her life, but it involved a lot of risk. What if, he turned out to be total monster after the marriage and crush all her hopes, that would be the end of her and her parents' life.

She kept on twisting in her bed when she heard her father calling out for her. She sat up and ran out of the room.

"Suman! Seema! Where are you both?"

Suman came out with Seema and they were both stunned to see Shravan with him. They both looked happy together. Shravan had wrapped his arm around her father's shoulders which definitely caught their attention. The two ladies scowled looking at the two men together like this.

"Sahab, Ayiye, bethiye. ", her father welcomed Shravan by offering an old rope woven chair. Shravan sat on that chair and looked at stunned Suman who was gawking at him. Her father sat on the floor and asked her mother to get some water to which Shravan refused.

"What is going on? "asked confused Seema in her loudest whisper.

"I have a good news for you all, Shravan Sahab wants to marry our Suman. Thank you so much, Sahab, you have no idea what you have done for us, it feels like I am travelling through my most beautiful dream," her father wiped his tears.

Both the ladies got the biggest shock of their life. Suman knew about his intention already but he would go straight to her dad and put the proposal in front of him, that wasn't expected at all. She thought that he would meet her somewhere else blocking her way or would try to chase her everywhere but he was a step ahead of her. Seema on the other hand, was standing like a statue. The news had paralyzed her body and even senses. This cannot be true' her brain was screaming loudly. She was gawking at her husband and wanted to know what was cooking in his mind.

Suman had started shivering. Her father agreed to this marriage, but how? He was the one who was strongly opposing this marriage and now, he has agreed to it. She was breathing heavy, the sweat buds had started covering her forehead. She was on a verge of crying and her heart was thumping inside her chest, she gulped.

"How is this possible? Are you mad or what? How can we sell my daughter like this and put her into in such contract marriage, which is actually not a marriage? " Seema yelled.

"You shut up! Shravan Sahib genuinely wants to marry Suman with no contract, a real marriage. The story of the contract was made by this Suman, she doesn't want to get married to him."Her father said completely a different story. Shravan had put all the blame on her and she had no clue of it.

He was looking at stunned Suman and was smirking. He could see the tinge of moisture in her eyes and was completely aware of what she must be feeling right then.

"What is going on? I am not getting anything," Seema spoke in confusion.

"Seema, you come with me inside, I will explain you everything. Let the kids talk." Her father dragged Seema inside leaving Suman and Shravan alone.

Suman was looking down searching words to speak whereas Shravan was looking at the lady. He got up from the chair and she immediately took steps behind in reflex which didn't go unnoticed by the man. She was nervous and scared.

"So, are you now ready? " He asked without wasting a single more second.

She finally looked into his eyes. His eyes were confident and dark whereas hers showed fear and tears. He was smirking at her waiting for her answer whereas she would cry any moment and didn't have words to say anything.

"What was that? " she finally asked in a low voice.

"What? " he pretended as if he didn't know the direction of Suman's question.

"The story which you told to my Baba, that I rejected you and there is no contract,"She finally gained the confidence to let out what she wanted to say and with each passing word, her confidence level was increasing.

"Who said that there will be no contract? Of course, there will be an contract and everything would run between us as the way we have discussed." he said mischievously and she could sense the victory in his tone.

"What do you mean? " she sounded confused.

"I mean Suman, I lied to your father that we are getting into an actual marriage, I did this on purpose," he shrugged.

"What! Did You lie to him? Why? What if he gets to know the truth? " she raised her voice gaining some more confident.

"Easy, Suman! Lower down your voice." He didn't like her tone. She was still a maid for him and she couldn't raise her voice on him anytime. Period.

"Wait let me explain you everything, Suman," he continued. "Your parents are worried for your marriage, even you know that! You want to study more instead of getting married. Here is the deal for you, marry me, I am accepting you with everything and I will let you study and fulfill your dreams. I will also pay you and your family money in return. Just think about it, it will solve everyone's problem. " he explained everything all over again.

"So, you are purchasing me and my father is selling me. Is that what you mean? " She spoke in rage. She was hurt and tears finally escaped out of her eyes.

"NO WAY! And don't you dare say that. If I have to buy a girl then I would have bought many others too, I am paying you as you will be working in my home that's it, don't take it otherwise," his was serious this time.

"I really don't know what to say? Sahab, honestly, I cannot trust you. " she replied honestly.

"I know! But I cannot do anything else to win your trust. Just say yes and live your dream. Okay, think like this, if you marry someone else in your community, your parents will have to pay dowry, plus what is the guarantee that they will allow you to study? They will indeed ask you to work at their home as a free maid, don't mind okay, but this is the reality, mostly of the men marry women as they want them to work at their houses and in a direct language, I call them free maids. All their dreams and wishes are killed by their men. I am not going to do that, Suman. I believe in equality. Indeed I have my own motives behind this marriage but I will never kill your wishes. " he sounded very convincing to her.

She was very confused. She didn't know what to say. She knew what he was saying had logic into it. She was looking here and there but at him.

"Say something Suman, just say. ", he demanded an answer.

" Sahab, I...I..." she was about to say something but till then Seema and her father came out smiling.

" Thank you so much, Chote Sahab, for accepting my daughter. Her father has told me everything that how you want to accept my daughter. I know whatever happened in the past cannot be removed but I liked the fact that you want to rectify your deed. You are repenting and I appreciate the fact you came forward to accept my daughter. We are ready for this marriage. " Seema said without looking at Suman who was gawking at her in shock.

"But Maa!" Suman tried to oppose.

"Shut up, Daagi. Let us talk." Her father yelled but her mother glared at him as he called her again Daagi that too in front of Shravan.

" I like her, Kaki, I am happy that you all have agreed to this marriage. " Shravan said joining his hands.

"But your parents? I hope they will... ", Suman's father was saying further but was stopped by Shravan again.

"Don't worry about them, Kaka, I will tell them after our marriage, nothing will happen to her, trust me. Also, I don't care what they think of me and her. I see my happiness in Suman, one more thing, marriage would be a court marriage and I will take her to my home.", Shravan assured.

" Oh! As you wish, Sahab. "Her father said.

"Kaki! Now you don't have to work in Haveli, you should rest now. Never ever think about the money, I am always here. " Shravan said making everyone happy.

Suman's expressions changed when she saw her family happy. She too was somewhere happy, he was giving her hopes, he was doing everything that she and her family needed and wanted, in return he just needs this marriage that too for a name, she would be free after 2 years, two years would be enough for her to complete her studies and pursue her teaching profession.

*****

"Sahab! I need to show these papers to my friend who is studying law," Suman said to Shravan standing outside her college.

He rested himself back on the car behind him and crossed his arms around his chest. He was amused with the lady, she was the only lady who was still not trusting him. If he would ask any other woman to marry him, she would immediately say yes to him, as he was rich and good looking but this girl, he was offering her good amount of money, a proper place to live, her dreams, everything, but she was still not satisfied. Somewhere he was happy that he had made a right choice of choosing her for his plan - she was smart, intelligent, honest and above everything she would never ditch him.

"Go ahead, make sure that she doesn't leak it. " he said smirking at her.

"She won't. ' she smiled at him for the first time since the time they had met each other.

"When will you answer me? he asked her again.

"In a week. ", she said and left the place leaving him staring at her till she got disappeared out of his vision.

Part- 5 finally hitched!

The days were rolling and Shravan was anxiously waiting for her answer. She said that she would answer him in a week - What would be her answer? He was hoping a yes from her side as he had done everything to convince her and her family. Suman's family was already on his side but She...he did not want to force her anymore now. All that he could do was already been done by him, now it was her time to take decision. On the other hand, Suman's dilemma was still on as she was still not sure about this proposal.

Next day she was studying in her room but could not concentrate on anything, as she was quite frustrated with herself as her mind was lost in his thoughts. The man had stolen all her peace and had captured her mind. Only three days were remaining and she was still at point zero. The more she tried to put stress on her mind the more she was drowning into the pool of dilemma.

Her chain of thoughts broke when she heard her mother's screams. She left her books and came to her mother's room; she was lying on the floor with her head bleeding. She panicked. She ran out of the house to call someone for help. She was roaming on the street, searching for a rickshaw or auto but nothing was available at that hour. She could still hear her mother cries. She turned around to go back to her house and froze when she found Shravan walking in from the other side of the street. His gaze fell on her and found her crying. He scowled and walked close to her at his maximum speed.

"Suman, what happened?"

"Maa! She fell down and got herself hurt, her head is bleeding, please take us to the hospital, please! I...I am not getting any rickshaw or...Please help. "She pleaded.

"Get her out of the street fast while I take my car."he ran outside to fetch the car.

***

He parked his car in front of the most expensive hospital in town. He removed his seatbelt and found Suman was staring at him.

"What?" he asked.

"Sahab! We cannot afford this hospital. "

"Don't worry about the money, just take her out fast, she is bleeding a lot. " He diverted the topic and without even wasting a single second, he came out of the car and pulled Seema out of the car.

They both took Seema to the emergency ward. She was medicated and treated by the doctors well and they asked her to take rest for some hours atleast. Shravan had arranged a private room for them.

Shravan and Suman were sitting in the waiting area whereas Seema was resting inside the room, she was so happy that she was for the first time in her life getting VIP treatment. She had never imagined that she would ever be able to even enter such kind of hospital. Moreover, she was happier because Shravan had brought her here and paid for everything. Suman was lucky to have him who was so caring and loving.

"How much did you spend? " Suman asked.

"15000 around. " He spoke softly.

"You did this to get me, right? But I still need time. " She clarified.

He kept his leg over another and adjusted himself properly on the chair looking at her with amusement.

"Who said that I did that all to get you? " he asked with a smile on his face.

" it is obvious. "

"Well, it is not. I have not helped you to get you, I did this all out of humanity. You still have 3 more days, decide and let me know, no pressure, Suman, seriously! And these 15000, they are nothing for me. Still you can return them whenever you can return them." He made his point.

Suman felt guilty inside. She was drawing a wrong picture of him inside her mind. He always managed to prove her wrong. She scolded herself for thinking like that. He was completely a different man of what she had thought of him. She had always thought that he was a devil who had spoiled her life, but no, he was not like that. Since the time she had met him he was just helping her out and taking out of the darkness. Her feelings for him were changing, they were becoming soft, but it wasn't love or something else, but surely, he was building a soft corner in her heart.

***

Three days were over and as expected, Suman had agreed to marry him. He had no bounds of happiness. She also had signed the agreement and they had a registered marriage next month. After getting married to her, he took her to AnandBhawan. She was clad in a red plain saree, wearing red glass bangles, hair tied in a plait, vermilion on her forehead and garland around her neck, which Shravan was also wearing. She was very scared. She knew that no one was going to accept her in his family. Shravan was very happy, as he knew what impact their marriage would leave on his family. They would all be shattered when they all get to know that he had married to their maid's daughter.

"Suman, don't be scared. As you know that there is going to be a big chaos when my family will get to know about our marriage. They would be harsh on you but don't let them affect you. I am always there for you." He assured her.

She pressed her lips inside and nodded. She was happy that at least he was there with her. She shouldn't be bothered about anything else. All her life she had bore all kinds of taunts and curses, she was now habitual of it.

They went inside the house and everyone got shocked looking at them as expected. His parents started cursing Suman as told by Shravan. She was very well aware and prepared for everything but still, those words were like daggers, which were stabbing her heart deep. She kept quiet with her head bent down as there was no point of replying or saying anything. Then he took her to Abhimanyu's room, the real show was yet to begin.

"Dadaji, see what! I am married now that too to Seema kaki's daughter Suman. ", he smirked shamelessly at his Grandfather.

"...and you are so shameless that you brought her here and standing here in front of me, " Abhimanyu said in disappointment but didn't lose the softness in his tone.

"Oh dadaji! Won't you bless us? " he teased him again.

Suman was very scared looking at the scene in front of her. She was not able to figure out what was happening in front of her eyes. His family was hating him as he got married to her and instead of getting sad, he was enjoying it all. She somehow got the hint that he did that all intentionally, but why? She was still unaware of a lot of things which he was hiding from her. She needed to find them all.

"I know Shravan, you married her to take revenge from me, son, it's okay, I will be happy if you stay happy with this girl. " He said smiling snatching away Shravan's smile.

Abhimanyu's words caught Suman's attention. Did he get married her to take revenge from his own grandfather? Why? Now a train of questions ran through her mind. Somewhere she started doubting him again. The person who can go to any extend to take revenge from his family can harm her too. Her throat went dry and her heart was in her mouth. The only thing she wanted to do at that moment was to run from everything, but the contract! She regretted her decision of marrying him, no matter he was paying her well, no matter what all promises he made, but now her faith in him was shaking.

"Dadaji, I will always be happy with her, Suman, go and take his blessings. " he said looking at her.

She gulped and nodded. She started moving towards Abhimanyu who was glaring at her. She bent down and touched his feet but Abhimanyu pulled his feet back, didn't let her touch them. For him she was an untouchable as she belonged to a particular community and no matter what, he could never let her touch him.

"Daagi! You will always be Daagi, I know my Shravan very well, he will never give you the status of his wife, but I am more scared for you, be careful, lady. You know nothing about him. " She immediately moved her head up and looked directly into his eyes. He was giving some hint, as his voice was alarming. He showed his right palm to bless her.

" God bless you, Daagi."

Her heart was beating very fast. The moment was very weird for her, indeed it wasn't giving her a good feeling. He was again and again was calling her Daagi which somewhere irked her. Shravan came forward and grabbed her hand. She looked at him, directly into his eyes which were darker than ever. They were filled with pride as if he had won some sort of a battle, they were filled with anger, ego and revenge... They were scaring her more now.

"Let's go!" he said pulling her out of the room. He dragged her out of the house. His parents were standing there disgusted.

"YOU WILL NEVER BE HAPPY, DAAGI. YOU HAVE STOLEN MY SON, YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY FOR IT ONE DAY. REMEMBER THAT!" She heard his mother cursing her from behind. She had lost her control on her tears; they started rolling out of her eyes.

"Do not pay any attention to them, Suman. Let's go."

And that was it for her. She had no option but had to go with him to his hell or to his heaven.
