Ok, then...
So much for my work related diligence😛
Just had to make this post after the conclusion of the episode today
Am I the only one
Sticking out like a sore thumb
Who is not exactly over the moon
After the proceedings of today!!
The first episode of EKDV in over a month's time
Which left me with
Mixed Feelings!
So, here goes...
My take!
The pace of the developments seemed a little rushed for me and my comfort
As if Shravan is in a desperate rush
To wrap up the case
Confess his love for Sumo
And leave for London, with a wife in tow!😆
In short,
IT WAS AS IF NOTHING HAD EVER HAPPENED
In these ten long years
The GRAVITY of...
The prelude
And
The afterlude!
Weren't Shravan and Sumo just beginning to rediscover each other??
Just about
The REAL Shravan and Sumo
Coming to the fore!
Finally
Free from their trappings
Their blindings...
What a beautiful pace it was last week
How seamless everything seemed to be
How effortlessly things fell into place
Almost surreal...
Like a dream...
Full marks to the follow-through...
As is always the case with EDKV
Whether it was Shravan's hold over Suman
Both literally and figuratively
Or the farm house joke
Totally SPOT ON!
LOVED Namik's straight-faced expression in that one, BTW!👏
But soon thereafter,
The "Tumhein apni chinta ho na ho, mujhe to hai"
Kinda felt abrupt
The moment needed to linger...
With the awkwardness of its matter-of-factness
Much awaited
And,
Much missed!
The only saving grace
A hint of a smile on Sumo's face!😊
LOVED the bonding of the Tiwari sisters over "mosquito repellant" and more...
I mean that's where the beauty AND uniqueness of EDKV lies
The most simplest of situations
Beautifully handled
And the deeper message
Communicated therein...
This moment was also no different
LOVED the subtlety of the "friend in deed" moment
And the enormity of the message therein...

Have to mention here...
English or was it Italian classes on Pizza
Have sure never been so entertaining😉😆
Shraddha really plays the dimwit Vandy to perfection!😛
And now finally...
To the more serious piece
My main area of concern
The appearance of Shravan Malhotra, THE lawyer, Shravan Malhotra
Both "Onscreen" (read: in court) and "Offscreen" (read: outside of court)!
Was I the only one
Who found Shravan's concern for Sumo
And his expression of it
Very unlike the Shravan Malhotra I know??
I mean, absolutely loved how he gesticulated to throw Varma off guard
As he meant business
With those glaring eyes
And a demeanour to boot!👏
But after that
Felt his "possessiveness" of Sumo was just going a step further
And the completely easy-going, not to mention nonchalant
"Come on Sumo, we're getting late!"
I mean THIS is not the Shravan Malhotra that I think I had begun to kinda know!!!
Where is the pensive Shravan?
Where is that inward-looking man?
Who will take his time
To let go of his trademark STOICISM
Least of all, his GUARD??!!
Have to mention, here, on a lighter vein, couldn't help but think...is this a new ploy...a crazy, nonsensical, sinister one at that??!!😆
CVs, PLEASE TAKE NOTE...
The change in the ShraMan dynamic needs to be nurtured
Needs to grow...
You have done an AMAZING job thus far
In the character sketch of the leads
YOU are on the verge of creating history!!
So, why this hurry??
Why this rush??
As if nothing ever happened!
Human emotions are difficult to understand
Even more difficult to grapple with...
You guys have set a BENCHMARK
We are in absolutely no hurry
To see ShraMan falling in love!
As Pritha summed it up so beautifully
When Sumo's coyness thinking about Shravan seemed anything but natural

On the aside, thought Namik looked like a MILLION BUCKS in just the lawyer's coat (outside the premises)...totally, totally DROOL WORTHY!😳😃

Didn't think much either of the lawyer's robe or the proceedings
Seemed rather pedestrian
Was a far cry from the epic writing that EDKV has come to be associated with!!
In conclusion,
