Agree! I liked Aarnav, even Asad for certain aspects of his character. But what I found refreshing about Shravan was that, even with Mummy issues I thought he was not your "Run of the Mill" angry young man MCP. But here they just want to make another one.
I watch a show on &TV about a Rock singer. One reason I like the show despite it's flaws is that the guy in it is really normal. He's not an MCP, he is not angry, he is actually really chilled out. His wife has more issues and attitude problem than he does. He is not a typical player type either. (which people assume is how all guys from the Entertainment field are).
Here again I was expecting something new and fresh. A guy who has a facade, but behind it, he is a normal guy. He does not do stupid things like get engaged to random women to get back at his high school sweetheart. But here we have the same old cliche playing out. (at least that it what it looks like right now).
TM: I loved ASR. I hated him too. But there can never be another ASR. So it's better they not try to copy him, coz that character cannot be replayed again. ASR's charm was in the way he was written and the way he was played. He was grey, but they got it right with him. It does not always work. That same PH just cannot copy that success again. But these makers need to come up with something new. Not try to clone ASR.
