But aren't you contradicting ur own point regarding the main lead fans?? Barun has more fans n his previous show was a huge hit...still couldn't save the new one...I think it's not just the fan base...but every actor being true to their role...or perfect casting is the reason...also 10 o clock is an experimental slot!! Sony experiment on sth compared to star plus and colours who stick on to family dramas
And romance is less cheesy according to TV standard...they don't have wind blowing 24/7,no bangles stuck on kurtha,it's dramatic but not cheesy!!
And vyoom does nothing much other than plotting...let's face it it's the story...I guess there is no point in further discussion,it's simple as that Sharma is showing a story...peo people are watching it,he is happy with the hype n trp...he is satisfying both "fandoms"...

I didn't contradict my point, I was pretty clear that fanbases neither bring in TRPs nor make a show hit. I was talking about IPK3. Also, make no mistake, actors don't make a show popular, shows make actors popular. Vikram and Namik became immensely popular because of JND and EDKV, respectively. This popularity gave EDT the privilege of enjoying a good social media presence before it even started. But sadly enough, TRPs aren't dependent on that.

Even the perfect script and casting cannot bring in TRPs if the viewers in question aren't interested with the perfection. They prefer vamps putting memory cards inside iPads over watching something meaningful.

@Red Bold these tropes are only used by Gul Khan nowadays, everyone else have moved on, even Ekta Kapoor.

I have lost all love and respect for Vyom too, but I still comment on him- be it on IF or on Twitter. I never fail to mention what an absolute Monster he has suddenly become. I repeatedly asked Sharma to give explanation of the rape attempt because they seem to have forgotten about it. Despite losing respect for Shiv, I never failed to mention how absolutely brilliant Namik was in the hospital scene or the scene where Shiv came to rescue Sharanya from Vidyut.

But since I have been pegged as a "Shiv hater", I guess you all will choose to turn a blind eye to all these. 😊

TV shows doesn't run on script...then how come some shows with plastic surgery plot can gain a lot of trps! Plastic surgery, random doppelganger, unrealistic time leap in which lead her mom n her daughter looks of the same age...it's the audience!! High trp shows has an audience of different age group...
That's y ekta experiments with web series but her TV shows have shitty plots!! Trp is the business side!!! Which brings down the quality of what we watch on tv...but can't ignore it...I guess now maybe many producers will start experimenting on TV...

the audience is different for an ekta kapoor drama and edt. even ekta nowadays dont show plastic surgeries and her supernatural creatures are more powerful and useful than shiv. majority of edt fan following are youngsters and they dont take mediocre storyline just coz there are hot actors in it. i heard ekta's web series are really good esp the ones with rajeev khandelwal and rajkumar rao.
there are experimental shows happening on tv but either it gets unnoticed due to poor marketing or will die a premature death. starplus are masters in bringing experimental shows and ending it without giving it a proper runtime.

Yeah I saw that memory cards inside iPads volume button!!!!
Boiling acid!!
Also this Prateek wrote a scene of a guy cutting his finger n snapchatting about it? Also 100kg of sand coming out of 10kg sack to fill a pit?!!! So he is also like that!!!
No idea about producers other than ekta...she copied Subash ghai movie n suffered a backslash!! Ekta experiments on web...TV is still stuck in 80s n early 90s!! Naagin, tum mere ho n ol are 80s movies still coming on TV as variations!!
Also there are serials that shows marriage happening on a plane!!!
The only reason this show is still on air and not butchered off like Haasil is because the two MLs bring in the online viewership and popularity.
I was talking about this...I thought online viewers doesn't matter...but the TV viewers matter...

Yeah...I'm talking from business point of view...the young audiences can't be trusted,cz u never know if they watch online or TV,so while making a show...I can't make wide assumption that only young people will watch it...there is no data to support it...social media is not a scale,so he will have to use a mixture of tactics to strike a balance...that's the only point I want to make...
Btw naagin is sooo 80s!! Ekta copied pardes on TV but her webseries is about Kashmir issues, she knows the Audience n the medium well!!
Experiments are not well received,so if an actor want to do TV he has to choose the relatively good from a pool of bad stories

Online viewership matters when most of the daily/prime time shows aren't even receiving 1.0 TRPs. Sony doesn't have any new shows at hand at the moment. The new one will take time to come, and when it does, it'll take the 9:30 pm time slot. Sony is usually like that with its shows. Even Beyhadh didn't have high TRPs, Jenny's fandom gave it the required online viewership, that's the reason it kept getting extensions.

Star is not that lenient all the time.

Oh, you have lost your respect for Vyom too. How would I know that if you don't make an open post on forum 😆 But ultimately he is a part of your VAnya ship so I assume that you just can't dislike/hate him the way you did for Shiv.

And for god's sake, don't bring Namik into this discussion. I'm strictly talking about the character. What opinions you have for him as an actor is none of my concern.

Lastly, just to let you know, I've always respected your opinions even sometimes they were highly 'offensive'. And regarding you being tagged as 'Shiv hater', Sorry nothing can change it now. You don't have any idea what ruckus you have created 😆

Anyways, you still can continue commenting on him. Who am I to stop you? Your life, your choice!! 😊

ofcousre shravan was a way too superior character than shiv anyday. what i meant was he is a sanskari guy in a different way in both the shows. in edkv even after being a chauvanist he never physically forced sumo like typical chauvanist leads in indian tv and used to always keep a safe dstance from sumo ( which resulted in very minimal romantic scenes in edkv😕). here he does have romantic scenes and it seems like sharanya and shiv were in a physical relation as well but as a character he is very sanskari. i exactly dont know how to explain it😆

But online viewership is not a data that can be quantified... channels works on numbers not on sentiments!! I think they are earning from ads well to support the show!! So y pull down a show...
It all boils down to numbers!!! Not the silly polls or online pleading to extend it...polls are considered when they are about to axe it n writer comes back with sth they can extend...

If v argue about sense and content...big boss wouldn't have gone beyond 1 season!! All this young people do watch that!! So market research is a factor...not the prime factor

No use trying to dissect a character like Shravan Malhotra in the context of EDT😆 Someone playing him and then taking up a character in this show is like taking a step backwards. But in many levels again, it's for good.
2nd anniversary is almost here though..some nice time ahead :)
