First things first, why on earth is Vyom being compared to Maya Mehrotra? What has he done in order to be given such a position?Maya no matter how dark they turned her was a victim of abuse and had some emotional connect towards Arjun once upon a time. She was suffering from a mental disorder and in her case CVs botched it up by showing mental patients in a bad light.
Vyom is creepily obsessed with Sharanya and he murdered Shiv for it.He is also the one who attempted to molest her.And he confessed it all by himself. He is NOT suffering from any disease what so ever. That's the biggest difference between Maya and Vyom.He did everything with a clear mind and cold blood.
Infact Vyom is at par with the villains in the Gul Khan shows looking at all his abilities.😉He is no mental patient.More than Maya he is like Shyam Babua from IPK.Charming and sweet from outside but a creepy monster from within.Or Billo Rani Tanvir from QH.

As to why Shiv didn't save the doctor and Shiv didn't save this and that,I want to ask something. Why are there so many expectations from Shiv??Just coz he is a ghost he should be a superhero as well?As to why he didn't save Sharanya then CVs are to be blamed for it.
Coming back to my topic why are everyone expecting stuff from Shiv when there are so many illogical angles to Vyom too.Okay he is the villain now.But there was a time when he was considered to be a hero right? Then he watched while Madhvi was getting disrespected and abused, behaved in a nastily clingy manner with Sharanya, didn't give her a moment to breathe, manhandled her, raised his hands on her father and brother, emotionally blackmailed her by attempting suicide(something which every roadside romeo does). All this he did while he was supposed to be positive.Yet these actions of his were never judged and questioned like Shiv's actions.
Shiv's every move on the other hand was scrutinised and his every motive was questioned.

If we are blaming the writers for this then yeah they have to be blamed for all three characters and their lack of consistency.Even the screenplay was quite weak. But since all this was conveniently ignored then why bother to point it out now?As viewers of Indian TV we are used to illogical stuff of a higher order. This is nothing compared to all those stuff. As long as audience have something which they like in these shows they will watch irrespective of all the loopholes and illogical tracks.

Coming back to the topic, yeah Shiv has hurt no one till date.He is not the culprit and he is the guy whom Sharanya had loved, loves now and will always love. This is Shiv and Sharanya's story and Vyom is the villain. It's as simple as that.😆

Haha I know I know, Maya Mehrotra's name just struck me because I hardly watched serials after Beyhadh, being frustrated to the core. Just compared the obsession and consequences (murder etc) and not the background at all.
In fact mental disorders need backgrounds, Vyom has none. He's simply a villain just for the sake of a story, because no human turns a villain of this sorts without proper backgrounds.

^^Gotta agree with this though.I must say Maya affected all of us in such a manner that we won't be able to forget her for a long time.😆
Coming to Vyom, yeah the character had its ups and downs but didn't we all have an inkling that he was faking it from the beginning?😉Also given the fact that Vyom's father is Rajan Bedi the ultimate douchebag. The apple doesn't fall far away from the tree.He grew up among the Bedis who are either abusive or rapists or both.He grew up having getting whatever he wanted. So that gives a sort of background to his villainish behaviour.

However I had not expected him to be a cold blooded, remorseless criminal.Add the molestation track on top of that.It was highly unnecessary and it vilified a character to a point of no redemption.Vyom has become pretty unidimensional now as he is nothing more than a textbook villain.

It would have been better if they had shown Vyom with Rajan like tendencies but having some conflict within himself which would have made the character somewhat interesting.

Exactly, once you commit sins like murder and molestations, there's hardly any redemption. Death usually is the end to such characters. And this is what makes such stories too cliche.
