You hit the nail on the head. They know their bigger picture but it is important to work out the smaller details to keep the viewers hooked. Donal has proved herself in the last couple of episodes and I have seen Vikram and Namik earlier. All three are so good with picking up nuances and bringing their characters to life. But there is only so much they can do if the script doesn't rise beyond a certain level.

You're right about the editing as well. I have noticed it too. But I haven't spoken much about it because my first concern was the lack of character development. I can do with jarring editing if I can relate to the characters. the filter on Shivanya was so cartoonish 😆

What makes it worse though is that the promos were so well shot and edited, so it made my expectations higher. And even in the first episodes they had some great shots! But Especially in the last month or so, they've been using all the usual tropes of editing to basically waste time and it's getting on my nerves.
What's worse is that whoever is in charge seems to be taking them self very seriously but it ends up looking just comical. Like all the reaction shots of Sharanya where it zooms in and out of her face? I thought we left that in 2008? And then there are those cut aways that happen so suddenly, like IMO the 60th episode had that scene where Shiv goes "even my death is yours" and it just straight away cut to his face, which is a great idea- but it was definitely something that called for a softer fade. And then the episode before where it was just 15 minutes of them walking through snow- why?
And even in scenes before when they were trying to show romantic moments b/w VanYa but Shiv's presence had to be asserted as well, the music editing felt like someone cut it, inserted a "be scared" noise and then cut right back in without any crossfade what so ever!
I feel like a team that gave such promising initial shots could do so much better! It's starting to feel like they gave someone their footage and windows movie maker as an editing tool 😕

And the camera angle is to blame. It is quite difficult to stand and act out a conversation, especially with such a height difference ...they should avoid long shots.

I always knew that Shiv did not mean to harm Sharanya in that first scene and the other scenes that followed. Only Vyom can explain the possession drama. Vikram is very good in negative roles. I thought Vyom stood out more than Shiv in today's episode. Possibly because he had more scope in his role today.

Shiv is not white either. I think he is hiding something. He does not like Vyom and Sharanya is not the reason. Lets face it. He's a ghost and as such has no future with Sharanya. So jealousy is not the reason for his dislike for Vyom. He knows something that he has hidden from the viewers and possibly Sharanya. In the precap, Shiv looks angry. I think there is something more to Vyom and Shiv than meets the eye.

The episodes that follow will unravel all the mysteries...like peeling of the leaves of an artichoke to get the artichoke heart which is the tastiest bit of the artichoke.

Hi. I agree with you. I didn't mind the rest as much but the revelation of Shiv's presence was very lamely done which was disappointing because it really should've been intense and emotional. Although I do not agree with not taking longshots. I don't think height difference is that much of an issue and having the actors in the same frame is necessary to feel the scene.

Oh Shiv is definitely hiding something. He is not doodh ka dhula and there is something he is not telling/going to tell Sharanya. She could've been the reason, but Vyom and Shiv definitely had some conflict of their own. It's evident that they both can't stand each other!

However, I am also curious about the possession thing. If it was indeed Shiv, how would he ever justify his actions? And if it wasn't him then who was it? I do think Vyom was indeed possessed otherwise you can't explain the black eyes or body breaking acrobatics or the weird behaviour.

Precap shiv was signalling Saranya not to tell vyoom anything...

I find the editing always annoying!!
I guess shiv always had a dbt on vyoom that he is going to take Saranya away from him... Saranya myt be unaware of madhvi n shiv chat!! Maybe shiv n vyoom myt have had a face off... Saranya vyoom friendship myt have affected him the same way it affected vyoom...or maybe shiv knew there was some kind of danger on Saranya...
But tmw's episode can answer most of these...just have to see whose flashback is that! Vyoom or shiv's,shiv is going to tell Saranya also vyoom n sadhvi will have a chat!

Editing is an issue with most Indian shows I feel.

I don't think so much will be revealed today. The story isn't stagnant anymore but they're taking the pace slowly when it comes to revelations. And Sharanya's memory is the only thing we can trust right now. Anything coming out of Vyom or Shiv or anyone else would only be half truth convenient to them.

The promos are better than episodes in most TV shows. I've noticed this😆

The 15 mins of snow walk was hilarious! The background was so dark we couldn't even enjoy Manali properly😆

I started forwarding most part of the episodes after a point so maybe I didn't notice the poor editing overall as much as you did.

I just had to comment on this as well haha, because I completely agree, the whole "Shiv chants mantras" scene etc could have had so much more impact if the editing had been different. And with the height diff, they had so many like rocks and stuff around, they shouldve either had them both sitting down [namik has so much leg O_O] or had her stand on a stool to compensate for the heights.

no same, for a lot of episodes ive been watching the webisodes later or reading the WU because it was draggging on and on!
And yeah that walk was hilarious, also did no one notice that in the course of a few hours it went from light to dark as she ran around back to light as they started talking...?
