It is always comforting to think that what we see, hear or know is indeed the truth, but how often does facts show up in your face and prove things otherwise?

I bet it was heartwarming for every viewer to believe that Vyom's words were straight from his heart when he chose to ignore his condition and fiercely defended his ladylove, called out on his parents and announced that he will wholeheartedly respect Sharanya's choice- be it him or someone else.

But it was nothing more than a pageantry of reverse psychology, well hidden under layers of love, respect and choice of words. Even Rajan caught on to the same. Vyom supporting Sharanya if she chooses someone else was the lie of the century! The guy (or girl) will be in pieces before he/she reaches the mandap! 😆

Proof- the moment they were alone, Vyom guilt-tripped Sharanya for not being able to love him. "Main toh kab se tumhaare saamne khada hoon; tum ho ki kadam aage badhaati nahin ho."

Always remember, lulling a person into a false sense of security, making them believe that they have the control over their lives and no one else is the best way many sociopaths take- and Vyom is a classic case of an obsessed sociopath!

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore his character for the sheer greyness it displays every other week. But that doesn't make me blind to what he's actually up to! His very statement- "Meri zindagi ka sirf ek maksad hain, Sharanya ki khushi" reeks of unhealthiness! I mean, really?

He has a career, he has his parents, his Mom is going bonkers because of him but he couldn't be bothered giving two shits! Not like his Dad minds, he is all too happy seeing his son doing exactly what he has been doing, only that his son's ways are a lot more polished. He doesn't make anything overtly obvious!

Now, coming to the cheek-pulling, it was the CUTESSST scene b/w SharOm in the last few episodes. But it was again marred with doubts.

I loved how cleverly the editors chose to not show the face from the flashback and left the viewers to their imaginations. 50-50 chance b/w Vyom and Shiv. I'm just wondering, how Sharanya reached Shiv's cheeks so easily if it was him? 😆

Also, Shiv's shayari in the end was telling. Will we be getting to witness a grey Sharanya? Just someone who chose not to take her relationship with Shiv too seriously? In all honesty, it won't make her grey, just a normal young girl who probably doesn't want to commit. Although, it's all just speculation, but where does Vyom fit in to all these things? 🤔

P.S- Did anyone noticed the BGM inspired from the Stark theme? 😆

I don't know why but my gut feeling says Vyom isn't lying or may be I am just too mesmerised with Vikram's performance tonight that it will take time to believe in Vyom's ability to deceive.
He's all about sharanya and I don't judge him for wasting his career over her. I have seen people in real too who wasted their glorious career on a girl abd after many years married someone else only to compromise. Deep down he's right that he might die or else live loke this where he can keep waiting for her.

I will be so sad if in reality sharanya had never loved vyom and indeed hates him in future. After tonight it will be so difficult to see ViRanya being a deception only.

Lovely review as always Shells!!

One thing I like about you, whether you like something or not, you give your opinion regardless of it being in favour or not!

Shiv's anger at Vyom's comment shows it was Shiv's cheeks she used to pull...

Can't wsit for them to start showing Shiv's back story!!!

Great post. Glad you caught on to the reverse psychology. Vyom threw the bait and as we know from the spoilers, Sharanya will get hooked. Unless the ghost steps in.
It brought a chill to me because my own sister has just scrapped through a similar situation. A friend of hers kept professing his love for her. She wasn't really interested but he played the sympathy card after a bike accident that she sort of blamed herself for. She got talked into getting engaged to him saying she won't get a better boy than him etc. We all started planning for the wedding but she never showed much enthusiasm. Finally she confided in my aunt that she has her reservations and didn't really want to go ahead with it. My aunt spoke to my parents and after a lot of fuss they agreed to let her call it off. The boy and his parents threw a real tantrum, shouting and screaming abuses at my sis and parents. It shook us all up quite badly but we are just thankful that my sis has had a narrow escape.

That's the thing with Vikram as an actor! He's so good, I think sometimes he can even convince himself that he is indeed obsessed with Sharanya. 😆

Even my most favourite SharOm scene till date- the hug outside the park of the crime scene was laced with Vyom's sociopathic tendencies threatening to flow over the surface! Subtly or not-so-subtly, he keeps guilt-tripping Sharanya for not being able to love him. He keeps saying that he won't force anything on her but doesn't waste a minute to remind her of his love for her. He more or less makes sure that Sharanya doesn't get enough space to breathe, be herself and ponder over her past or her current situation, let alone leave enough scope for another love interest to creep up.

His brilliance lies in this paradox and I love him for that! Who am I kidding, I want SharOm to be together! But I know better than to expect a happy ending for anyone in a romantic thriller, esp since the 3rd angle is a supernatural entitiy.

Whoa man! I'm so glad to know that your sister managed to escape!

Relationships with toxic sociopaths can never be successful in real life. I have learnt to spot a person with these symptoms since I was in my 11th standard, and I can well understand the card the CVs are playing here with Vyom's character too.

There are those narcissistic sociopaths and there are those obsessive ones, Vyom definitely belongs to the latter category, so did your sister's pursuer. What works in favour of Vyom is her parents' faith in Vyom's love, which your sister's pursuer didn't have.

Maybe, Sharanya will eventually fall in love with him since the YT description of the show explicitly states that they will "rediscover their love and decide to get married". Tonight's episode surely laid a solid foundation for the same. But I doubt they'll have a happy ending, though. 😭

You can count on me like 1...2...3... 😎

It could be Shiv or Vyom or both. I have a lot of wild theories but can't trust any of them since the makers are doing a fine job of surprising us.

I have seen people speaking out of character, like the voice is of that person but the words are from someone else and the person who lends the voice believes the thoughts are his own. This is the art of human psychology which people use in day-to-day lives and for it I don't think the person need to be a sociopath or psychopath, Vyom just comes in the list of people who are too clever for their own good.

I ain't watching the show as my life is in a crucial state right now and I wouldn't be able to handle the suspense of the story, I just randomly visit the forum sometimes to catch up with the plot. Having seen both the ML's previously, I can only tell the casting is perfect as both of them can act the grey shades very well and we as audience are left to anticipate who is the actual grey one.

My parents were totally taken in by this guy's charm. He was perfect in every way, so attentive and loving which is why they pushed my sister to say yes to his proposal. They feel so guilty now for not having seen through his facade. It's been a few months since my sis broke it off but the guy still won't leave her alone. She closed down all her SM accounts due to his stalking. Her life has become hell, my dad drops her to work and picks her up out of fear.
You can understand why Vyom scares me, everything about him reminds me of that guy.

About the end, frankly, Sharanya doesn't have to end up with either. She can come to terms with the past, put it to rest and move on.
