Yeah, somehow the snow or ice element is connected to his death that's why he is white faced and also using ice as his medium.

Why Shiv is looking very much like a normal person in this pic? Is it just a blunder or a hint for viewers?

Shiv is associated with Snow/Water because he is from Mussorrie & he might have lived in Mussorrie & Himachal Pradesh, which is surrounded by Glaciers.

According to symbolism, Shiva ~ Himalayas Snow/Glaciers & Water as Ganges.

Maybe Shiv is frozen / indifferent according to story. That could be the reason also.

If my Analysis is correct, Shiv will be a Normal Person. Maybe he might have Intuition & maybe more devoted to Spirituality.

100% Sure , Shiv is not a Ghost.
