Sudama is shocked to hear Susheela tell him to take Krishna along w/ him. He tries to explain to her that Krishna belongs to everybody, not just him alone. Susheela tells him that since he's incapable of being either a good husband or a good father, he can go and drown himself in his Krishna devotion. Sudama goes to the statue and weeps, and tells Krishna that he is truly merciful 🤔 and asks Krishna to forgive Susheela. He then takes the statue and leaves. Susheela and the kids come to see him go, and the younger kids are particularly upset by his leaving. Susheela once addresses him, and Sudama turns around, but leaves. Sudama enters a hut (presumably his previous home - where else would one find empty huts lying about?) and carefully installs the statue.
Susheela stands before the empty spot where the statue previously was, and angrily asks Krishna whether he's now satisfied, having robbed this family of a husband and a father? She accuses him of filling Sudama's mind w/ such mush so as to completely negate everything he has given them. JS look angrily @ her, while Krishna just looks @ her calmly, while @ the same time in his hut, Sudama is begging that Susheela too be enlightened.
Satyabhama is upset that Sudama is still being tested. Krishna tells JS that it may look like that from here, but if they were to go to him, they'd find him totally oblivious of all those hardships b'cos they are totally submerged in devotion to him. As for Susheela, it will take some time b4 she comes to realize what all this is about.
It's dinner time & Susheela tells the kids that she's made their favorite dish. The younger kids ask about whether Krishna has eaten, and Susheela tells them not to create any more problems. She leaves, and Mohan is about to eat, when his brothers stop him and tell him that they can't eat w/o first offering it to Krishna. Mohan tries to argue that Krishna's statue is no longer there, but his brothers tell him that according to their father, Shri Krishna is everywhere. So the kids go to the shrine spot w/ the thalis, and fill the plates and everything w/ their food items. Krishna is watching all this smiling, and the kids also do different parts of the puja, like lighting the diyas, offering flowers, and put the thali where the murti used to be.
Krishna then invokes his powers and makes the food disappear from the shrine. It appears in his hands, and he then offers it and feeds it to Satyabhama & Jambavati. He tells them that Sudama's kids have clearly understood and absorbed what he taught them, and tells them that they do have to repay this debt they've incurred 😆
Comments:
Slightly better episode than the rest of this week - the kids showing their devotion is cute, although Mohan has that really constipated look on him @ almost all times. Maybe the disappearing food will make him more of a believer.
I was thinking that Krishna might transport the food that he was offered by the kids to Sudama, rather than taking it for JS, who seem to be Lakshmi mata's tag team incarnate 😆 Sudama hasn't got anything, so if something magically appears b4 him, he will eat it. But then again, he might take it to his kids, thereby defeating the purpose.
I'm wondering if Sagar Pictures is planning to drag this out - this track now resembles the Ahi-Mahi track or the Swarna kamal track in the AS Ramayan. Endearing as Sudama is, Susheela being turned into a vamp is too much to digest. Hey, CVs, do it to Gandhari if it needs to be done @ all 😈
The above poll I've done given that this story is fictitious, so based on what you believe, who do you agree w/ above?
P.S. I'll be out from tomorrow for the whole of next week, and may not have internet access, and will be back next weekend. Hopefully, the serial is back on track w/ the Pandavas & Draupadi's introduction.
