I even liked him as a tapori in that Kailash Kher's song from the album. 😳

I agree ... Remember in the cutting chai segment, how everyone said Shravan doesn't even need glycerin for tears - they come naturally...

That being said, i think DYM was a very good platform for all four to excel in their talents. It required a lot of versatility in emotions so i think all of them grew in their skills for sure.

Absolutely! All the leads had to portray various emotions, all layered, jus that one's might have been more than the other. They all did a wonderful job.

For an Indian TV serial, it definitely was refreshing contemporary show, with very relatable yet complex characters. The casting of the leads has definitely been their USP. The fact that we have all been discussing them, so long after its end shows how much they connected with their audience.

I only have one problem with male leads and here I mean mostly all the male leads. Why are they always shown majboor when they have a female ruling over them 😆
It may be any male of any TV show. They always have a khadoos sister, mother, aunty, daughter, friend or any female in that regards who makes them majboor and in the majboori, they just lose their voice. They stand blank and listen to the females no matter what crap they ask them to do (marry or take revenge). 😆

Here I was happy with Arjun as I felt Nandini was dead but she came alive after few epis and Arjun lost his voice in Nandini's tears 😭

I came across some hate tweets about Monica.. Even posted by Kashmira's sister..like really? Being an actress or her relative doesn't give you the ability to demean your co-actors.. Bashing someone shows how insecure you are for attention..If you really want to outshine your counterparts, then you should start excelling in your job, then people can notice you.. And I started adoring Monica ..Her acting improved so much in these four months,I couldn't believe it was her debut show..And Monica was even called talentless.. I was shocked,a girl who did her post graduation from one the best colleges in the country,a national level ballroom dancer and badminton champ ,and you call her that? And shaming someone on the basis of complexion is just plain inhumane..Monica seems just like a young chirpy girl in the interviews, honesty reflects through her words..

Even I saw Kashmira's sister Yasmin spreading negativity abt Monica on Twitter. Actually, just a handful of 4-5 Kash fans kept tweeting negative stuff using highly offensive language for Monica expressing their anger at her getting promoted more by SP and her being paired with Aham etc. They even tweeted this stuff to Maybelline Newyork's Twitter handle when they tweeted something related to Monica. And Yasmin, Kash's sister Retweeted and favorited every such ugly tweet which encouraged these ppl more as they knew she was Kash's sister and they became more & more vicious.

For me the most horrible thing was Kash knew her sister was doing this as she follows her on Twitter but despite that she never stopped her. And this was happening since April when the show started. This showed she supported her sister's bashing her costar. Plus she kept re tweeting these same fans flattering tweets to her despite knowing that these same 4-5 folks were being vicious to Monica thereby endorsing and encouraging what they were doing. I thought that was pretty awful and sad. Imagine, how Monica wld have felt had she known this then esp doing such friendly scenes with her. Anyways, I am glad that this did not remain hidden and everyone from the writers, to Cvs, to main leads actors came to know what was happening when someone early last month took a snapshot of all the offensive RTs of Kash's sister and tweeted the same to the writers and main lead actors who were active on Twitter exposing the ugly game being indulged in to put down one of the main leads of the show by the other and her sister. Many ppl tweeted to Kash shaming her abt this and saying how cld she do this to a young, new costar of hers. And they were right coz one shld try to get recognition by doing quality work and not by pulling down one's costars behind their back out of insecurity or malice while pretending to be nice to them on the set. Also, they shld have known encouraging fans to put down a co actor/couple wld only result in dividing the fandom which in a way wld hurt the show too which was not the right thing to do. Irony is, when this was brought to light it is these sisters who ended up being embarrassed before costars, writers of the show and lost the respect of many fans like me.

Additionally, many ppl felt that since Kash shot more scenes with Aham in the beginning while Monica didn't, she established a good rapport with him and used it to almost monpolize his attention on the set a bit later when they all were on set isolating Monica by leaving her out & alone. And this was clearly seen even in one of the on location videos (of the scene where Arjun asks for Sam's hand from Samrat... Radz had worn a saree for the first time then). Later on since Monica Aham scenes increased and being main leads they had to do a lot of interviews together ice between them finally broke.

Another thing, there were a couple of articles in print media on SA/KA and their chemistry initially just after their 2 scenes. It's believed Kash used her contacts (she has got lot of connections - even in Bollywood, Salman's sis is her good friend) to get those articles/interviews published so that SA was seen as getting more appreciation and the makers changed the pairing. No way just after 2 /3 scenes wld media otherwise have not only taken notice just but also published articles singing praises abt their so called hot chemistry

But as they say, good things happen to good ppl. Monica faced all the negativity and ugly planning against her with dignity and grace and came out on top...almost stealing the show. Also, hats off to Siddarth Tewary and Swastik productions for sticking to their original story and pairing and giving Monica her just dues despite these manipulations. What I like abt Monica is that she carries herself with dignity, class and poise regardless of the situation she is faced with. Plus she comes across as a genuine person, a good soul. Hope she goes places and gets grt opportunities in future.

Yowza ... so much backstage politics.

On a light note, I loved all of Aham-Monica segments and interviews ... starting from the peanut scenes (in May I believe).

Reading all this unwanted politics that went around, it leaves a bad taste. I am happy Monica conducted herself so well all through. Despite all that, whatever had to happen did happen. Ardhika happened n what frenzy it created. Anth bhalaa, to sab bhalaa! :-)
