I too was shocked to see some of the offensive comments in the forum when I joined in in June. To think women can think that way about other women was an eye-opener.

Among the comments and reaction to the same, I came across one that made a lot of sense.

Someone said that the main issue was Aham was being paired with a newcomer when someone with his recently acquired popularity(post MB) should have been paired with an actress who is well-known.

It also implied that his rising popularity needed the impetus of an established actress...not a rank new-comer that won't add to his stature.

That the new-comer stole the show from most of the established lot is another story altogether.

But this sort of rancour for a lead is something new. Usually, it's the fans of the established main leads that are at loggerheads with each other. But, here, it was something else entirely.

I mean, they were mad at Radz for interfering between Sam and Arjun. They felt she was breaking them up...not caring a wit that she was actually saving her from sure disaster.
That's how blinded they were...it was obviously not about the characters here but about actors.

But one thing I noticed was, Aham even after his recent popularity and proving himself in MB, when I watched DYM I felt in many places he could have done better. Because in many places, for e.g., the scene where he scold Radhika for spoiling his shirt in lonovala trip,to show his anger he was just grinning his teeth, the accident scene where the police comes there also he could have done better, and in comic scenes. Than SP who told that DYM was an experiment, but it helped him clearly where he can improve and where he was good at. so anyway, its a plus for him to do DYM. It was like a quick test for him in main lead role, where he want to improve, I am cent percent sure that he might have observed it and work on it as he is sincere and committed to his work.
yeah, that was shock the actor who is playing positive role getting bashed for postiveness. yes, sadly it was more than character, to actors.

@jey3ram kash and sanaya aren't sisters 😳 it's a rumor that kash cleared up
@pippa i agree both fandoms were at fault and i feel like it escalated bc fans kept reacting to each other unfortunately when there are two couples in a show there are also clashes
I think the actors are very mature and don't pay attention to horrible comments bc they seem to have a good equation with each other. And yeah talking about who was more comfortable with who is just useless bc at the end of the day they were doing their job and they did it well

i looove the lift scene! def one of my top 5 ardhika moments

for sure i think aham had moments where he could have def done better
especially the accident scene i didn't like his acting throughout the whole car ride when radz got hurt
he is talented for sure but he had his moments where acting wasn't on point as well

After getting all the hate tweets n comments on Instagram too, she was so sportive. She even replied to one of the hate comments she got for posting her pic with aham that was taken during their SPA rehearsals, saying 'no choice is bad if it doesn't matches yours. I hope you get to see what you want to see n d show makes you happy. Anger is bad for health so through all this don't forget to smile'.
But somewhere all this negativity does get to you. I rem in one of her telephonic interviews, dis was after it was sure that they will be paired, when told ppl are liking your pairing with Aham, she wasn't sure how to react. All that she hesitantly said was 'agar acchi lag rahi hai to acchi baat hai..'

I think through all this she has got more mature, more experienced, both onscreen n offscreen, while giving interviews too. It's her debut show with absolutely no film/tv/theatre background, she is bound to make mistakes but what's more pleasant to see is how soon she has learnt the art of the game.

I agree, Aham is still a little rough around the edges. I haven't watched him in MB but did see him in his earlier show ASA. I remember wishing that he was the lead over the actual lead. But he was very one dimensional in that show...a little stiff and angry most of the time. Which is why when I heard he was in MB, i didn't bother to see it. I didn't think he would suit Karna's role.

So, even when I watched his entry in DYM, I just flipped the channel. But he grew on me just as Monica did. While Kashmira and shravan struck me as Ace actors immediately.

Aham does intense scenes with elan but in others he is a little lacking. Sometimes his expressions are stiff when something else is called for. I think he and Monica are a director's actors. They need to be told what to do and be molded by the director while Kashmira and Shravan are natural and instinctive actors...the director lets them do it without interference.

I watched a few episodes of Choti si Zindagi where Aham plays a role of a tapori. He couldn't carry it off with conviction. He sounded like a St Stephen student playing a role on stage on Annual Day.

DYM could be the best thing that happened to him and Monica. It was a training ground to develop their acting chops and as a lead, he was very convincing. Monica still has a fair way to go, especially in her dialogue delivery but she is a fast learner and I am looking forward to seeing her in a strong author-backed role soon.

i wish fans took the show as entertainment and enjoyed the incredible cast (DYM is one of the few shows i know that has such a talented cast cannot say how impressed i am with casting choice for the 4 leads) instead of wasting energy on hating

I started liking them early on ... can't quite pin-point but i think it was the finger scene too (same as @Pippa) ... but i became addicted to them during / after Lonavala, lol.

I like all 4 leads ... and i had no clue who they were prior to joining this forum! Heck I even like the actress playing Nandini, lol.
I personally think Shravan is the most natural actor among them. Even Kash had some not so great moments - she can't act well in drunk scenes, where as Monica did awesome. They all have their strengths and weaknesses ... however Shravan shines the most IMO.

I can't pick one scene where Shravan was even mediocre, he has excelled in all. Be it his comic timing or emotional scenes or his outburst. Even if he has no dialogues or just in the background, his reactions are jus right.
I even liked him as a tapori in that Kailash Kher's song from the album. 😳
