Sam had never expected that she would have to face this. Her best friend, her Chashni was the sole reason for her condition. Flashes of her and Radhika's moments came in her mind as she entered Bird Song only to find that it was unusually quiet. "Sam! Come with me, fast!" Neil whispered as soon as she entered and took her to her cabin.

"I need to talk to you." He said locking the door.

"If it is about yesterday, then I'm sorry, I don't want to talk about it." She coldly replied.

"You have to, Sam! You are wrong!"

"Oh, really. And what she did to me? Wasn't that wrong?"

"What did she do? Did you saw her getting intimate with Arjun? Did you saw her?" Neil shouted

"No...but"

"But what Sam? She is your best friend. You both live together, yaar! Come on!" he argued.

"Look Sam, we should talk to her. She cannot do this. She will NOT do this." Neil continued as tears started to form in Sam's eyes.

"I...I...You go." She said, her voice choking.

"Fine."

"Radhi..."

"Radhikaaa!" Neil shouted as he opened her room.

Sam was sitting on her chair inside her cabin with her phone in front of her and her fingers tapping the table. It had been fifteen minutes since Neil left but she received no call from him. Just then her phone rang and as soon as she saw the caller id, a sigh of relief escaped from her mouth.

"Neil! Did you talk?" she asked impatient.

"Sam...Radhika...Come to the ABC hospital, fast!" and with that Neil cut the call not letting Sam to ask anything. In reflex, Sam rushed downstairs. Seeing her running like a mad, Piyali came out of her cabin.

"Sam, what happened? Where are you going?" she screamed.

"Mom, Radhika...She is in hospital" Sam replied and rushed out of Bird Song leaving every one shocked. Arjun, who had entered the office just the moment Sam left her cabin, witnessed all the conversation which made him numb. Radhika in hospital? The very thought of her being hurt pained him and he too rushed towards his car following Sam.

Neil was on the reception when Sam entered. Rushing towards him, she spoke, "Neil, Radhika? What happened to her?"

"Sammy, she...she attempted suicide." Neil spoke with a choked voice.

"What?" Both Neil and Sam turned to find Arjun, all panicked. "What the hell are you doing here?" Sam spoke walking towards him. "Just get out!"

"Look Sam..." Arjun was cut in between by Neil.

"Guys, stop arguing. What is more important is Radhika right now. Come with me."

"Doctor, what happened to Radhika? She is fine, right?" Arjun spoke as the doctor came out, much to Sam and Neil's surprise.

"Look sir, she had an overdose of sleeping pills. And as this gentleman said,there was no one in the house, so it is a suicide attempt. As of now, we need to do her stomach wash, and only then we can tell anything. But Sir,we may or may not be able to save her. And as this was a suicide attempt, the police has been informed and they will be coming here any moment. Also, patient's family..."

"Don't worry, Doctor" Neil assured him. "I've called them. They will be reaching by tomorrow."

"Uhh...one more thing."

"What, doctor?" All three of them replied simultaneously.

"I've checked the reports twice. And...the patient, umm had a sexual intercourse."

"What?" Arjun asked shocked

"Yes. And I guess she was not ready for it. I mean...she was raped. She has bruises all over her body." All three of them looked at him shocked. Arjun, who became numb after hearing that was about to fall on the ground only to be supported by Neil who was confused by Arjun's behavior rather than getting shocked.

The doctor went out. Neil sat beside Sam who was sitting on the floor cursing herself for not being with Radhika. She remembered how Radhika had asked her to trust her. How she had cried in front of everyone. How she had sked her not to go away from her. If only she had listened to her... Arjun sat on the bench tear stained. He remembered how she came there late night. That time he hadn't notice, but now he clearly remembered that she had scratches all over her body. She came there after all this just to tell the truth, and he ...If only he had trusted her...

Here, Radhika was surrounded by no. of pipes protruding from different bottles and machines to her body. And she was stuck between life and death. Doctors were operating her brain, trying to provide her oxygen and blood, just to make her alive again. But she knew that she had lost it. She had lost the battle against the demon and could not protect herself. She knew that she had lost the battle against lies and that her truth had no place in other people's life. She knew that she had lost the battle to regain her image as an honest and pure person. She knew...that she had lost the battle of her life. And all she wanted now was just a simple death.
