nothing has really changed

Not much of a leap besides the children growing up...Everything is the same and here is why:
1) Something in the air in India I guess because nobody ages. After 20 years everybody looks exactly the same. WOW! Is it the humidity? In other words, Neha Marda could have stayed looking exactly the same and she would have fit in with the others.
2) They are still just lying around the living room doing absolutely nothing. Do Sandya and Damini have any hobbies for the love of God?
3) Annirudh was not able to tame Damini and her stupid URMI obsession after all these years.
4) URMI still taking crap from in laws and whoever else feels like emotionally abusing her. So when she had no money and no job she escaped her in laws to get away from abuse. Now, she has money and a business but keeps living in a house where she does not even have a husband and her maji and daughter are continually emotionally abusing her? Where oh where is the progress?
I don't think I'm sticking around for this one...

Even after getting financial independence and success women are shown to take crap from relatives and that is shown as their goodness or sanskaar. I hope real ppl don't fall for this type of suggestions in serials.

I had given up on this show ages ago...But came back to it only because of KKK...He's simply awesome...but don't know how long I'll be able to tolerate the crap even because of him...

And we speak of women empowerment...Urmi is a big let down to all independent women who know and want to stand up for their rights...

I am an NBT fan and a Kunalian and I've watched most of DAK from the start.

I started watching for Siddharth Arora (Ishaan).. My Beera from NBT2!

When he left, news mein tha ki he will be back soon. So I watched. I liked the acting but not the story. I stopped watching.

But after the first leap, Anupam Shyam entered and DAK took a good turn with Urmi standing up for herself. I now began to watch regularly.

When Siddharth joined a new show, it was certain he wasn't coming back. I still continued to watch.

When Vibhav came, I thought it was a bad casting choice but the courtroom drama was good.

But the next leap turned out to be the most boring one ever. It was ridiculous.
So I stopped.

Then I heard they're taking another leap, killing Ishaan while Mohit will play Shaurya. I was happy that I'd get to see a new side of Mohit, plus no Vibhav. Yay!

I liked Manasi as Urmi (back then, I didn't know that Kamya and gang were going to continue! Now it looks so weird!)

So I watched for about ten days before the leap to keep in touch with the story.

And then... Mohit left. I was like, DAK is finished.

BUT THEN!!!!!!!!!!

KUNAL took on Shaurya's role!!!!!

I couldn't believe it till I saw him on screen!!!!

Now I'm going to watch religiously, even when I hate the track!

Eeep! Kunal!!!!!

But seriously, yeh show mein kya bacha hai.. It doesn't even have anything to do with the title, Doli Armaanon Ki!

But Kunal!!!!!!!

And his hair! And his smile! And his style!

Haaye.

@Michelle...
Very well written...I agree most of us NBT fans are again here only because of KKK...but wonder how long his presence will help salvage the show...

Anyways I've decided to stay with it till KKK's presence outweighs the negativity in the show...for how long that will be no idea...have to wait and watch...
