This lady is the most irritating character of season 2 of DAK,
Why does she reminds her didi that she is kaali for Zillion times ?
In India, most of them have dusky complexion . Why does she undermine herself?
Stupid lady .ppl having dark complexion is a sin or what?
This lady has nothing to do other than meddling in other ppl lives and chanting that she is kaali Zillion times
At least samrats mom is fun to watch with her hilarious antics though her character was grey
This lady tries too hard to be funny .

I very much agree with you- she is just too overdone...like the other characters of DAK 2...none of the new ones are anything close to credible so far

That expression she uses "mein kaali hoon ..." with such a degrading connotation is plain racist in so many ways...as if dark people cannot be beautiful and sensible

For a show that wanted to show woman empowerment through Urmi's character, this constant allusion to the skin colour of the stupid maami is really a contradiction

Really nice post. I dont get her. Like no body is calling her black and nobody ever makes her feel less because of her skin color but she herself is making herself less. What kind of weird lady is this. You know this color problem is very common in Indians and Pakistani's but the story begins when someone talks that you have a dark skin colors.

But nobody says anything to her...

and yeah Sam's mom was much better ...and she was funny. I really liked the way she delivered her dialogues. This actress just sucks too. No doubt on her character.

and you know Indians and Pakistan's believe that beauty comes with colour. If you are dark you are ugly. That is not true...I hope the new generations just leave this sick idea and theory behind. Because it doesnt make sense...

I agree with all of you.. and besides agar chehra kaala ho toh koi farak nahi padta.. beauty comes straight from the heart.. and if your heart is black then no one can do anything about it.

This "Mein Kaali Hoon" remark is highly frustrating.

she is highly envious of Damini; i think that is the root cause of this. also all of Damini's children r fair, which is why she is so adamant over her daughter.
