God also says if someone iz genuinely sorry abt wat he or she has done they shud be given a chance...its written in all holy books
With all due respect - I agree to a certain extent - that if someone has done bad and TRULY repents, understands the severity of their actions and honestly wants to change and better themselves then yes - they should be granted a chance to prove themselves.
In the case of Samrat - he is NOT repenting or sorry for what he has done. He does NOT understand the severity of his actions and truly speaking - men like Samrat who are so narrow minded, egoistic and an over all MCP who treats women like dirt - they don't really change - so the concept of giving him another chance doesn't even arise. If he starts to behave "nicely" with Urmi - its not coming from a true realization of how he's been ill treating his wife - he's doing this because he wants to prove a point and satisfy his ego - its not about Urmi it's about his EGO.
In any case the topic maker has asked if Samrat should be forgiven - first of all I don't think his actions even render a possibility for forgiveness and even if he is (this is a show after all) forgiving a person doesn't equal giving him another chance. Forgiving is more for the person who does the forgiving - for them to be able to let go and move on and if Urmi does move on - it wouldn't even matter if Samrat repents or changes - she's already past that point from what we are seeing.
To quote an old chinese proverb "if you hurt me once - that is your fault, if you hurt me twice - that's my fault"
Urmi has given Samrat enough chances, she's tried very hard to maintain peace in the home but at every step Samrat has just taken her silence as weakness and walked all over her. He does not deserve any sympathy or chances.
